Don't forget that even if it's not a lot heavier, the mass is further away and the more weight is outside the difference in force needed to slow down and change directions is greater than just adding the weight difference
today i finaly found a guy shipping from my country, but as he only had adapters without removing the buttonpanel i messaged him about this flush one and he agreed to print this version for me. cant wait to try this deep dish 350mm wheel i also bought. this video motivating me even more and hopfully i wont do anything wrong with following you removal guide, thx for that btw. :D

@@Damarai_ xD i hated the 350mm wheel and only used it for a month, still use the adapter with the default wheel. Buttons and makeshift ebreak on the buttonbox still working on the side.
Now i have an idea to do the quick release mod by applying this tutorial and other video i see, thank you ❤

I bought an OMP fake wheel from Ali express for a tenner and measured out an adaptor template to drill in work. Made it out of brass and it’s been great. Had it since 2018 and it’s never let me down. Fitting shifter paddle extensions was harder than making the adaptor. $25 is £22 now. Absolute rip off for what it is.

Did you lose a lot of FFB with the NRG wheel because I want to know if it's worth changing it or no to a NRG wheel?
i did follow this tutorial and the wheel is spinning and is detected but it doesnt detect when i turn or the pedals
Mines going to be about 2.5 lbs with the buttons, keeping the buttons and adding adapter and 350mm wheel. This should be ok?

Thanks for the great video :D the only question i have in mind is.. I am planning to add a deep dish wheel + extended pedal shifters with an adapter and a spacer (keeping all the buttons!!) but the issue is; besides the decrease in the force feedback, could the added weight damage the gear mechanism in a long term use?
I used mine like this for almost 2 years and never had a issue. But if you are worried about potential wear and tear I would recommend a NRG Innovations Sim wheel they are lighter and are to not add wear and tear due to weight

How did you run the shifter buttons to the side. I'm trying to do that.
I guess if you put more heavy load to the servo, it might be won't last long. Those plastic made are meant to be with a plastic too. Just my opinion.
Not over the wheel. The part you out the metal adapter on is the metal center piece. Doesn’t really make a difference

I know it’s late but I got a question, so I did the rim swap and I had a 3D printed adapter and a wood grain wheel like yours and my g920 like wobbles back and forth and up and down now not much but a little so I took it off and reverted back to stock, is the heavier wheel the reason for that?
They may be a little play not to much I know I had some play and I made sure the center screw of the adapter was tight and when I tightened them it went away had to do that every few days
EvlRabbit thanks for responding so fast! But I’m pretty sure that won’t fix it for me. I have the stock wheel on and it’s still wobbly, and the wheel itself doesn’t wobble it’s the shaft of the whole thing that wobbles. Don’t know if that’s a bad thing

well the boss adapter is actually too heavy. I have one . there's another adapter it's on thingiverse . and it's just like the boss adapter but it's way lighter like an lot .

That one has quick release so just buy quick release or use the quick release from Stock wheel and put on the new wheel

that is twice the weight, i would be very careful, buy the cheapest 350mm rim on ebay they will be as light as the stock wheel almost.
