This video is way more helpful than the others. It was very direct and easy to understand. The only problem I had was all of the non screwed buttons fell out and I damn near shit my pants. Luckily it was nothing major and was an easy fix
Well, after a while I decided back to original wheel. I'm playing mostly Dirt 2.0, and I wouldn't advise to use this mod for this game. Whole force feedback is changing for worse. I've spent a lot of time to find proper settings to feel the car.. I'm not saying that is bad idea, however if u need precision u shouldn't change it. For drifting, yes is perfect mod, for rally is not. This is my personal opinion. Best regards
It's made rally easier for me. I also have 3d printed all my own parts
u just have it for an 11 inch wheels force. u can downscale it the bigger the wheel u get

UPDATE: another thing i forgot to mention that doing this can cause the wheel base to overheat if you use a heavy wheel and may need to install some sort of fan system. (I forgot to mention this in the video and was reminded in a facebook group)
What wheel did you use could I just use a cheap one with the same stud pattern

@@DiegoLopez-rf8yw i dont have a fan system and yes if i drive for a while it gets a bit hot but not to hot. If it gets to hot i just lower the forcefeedback for the moment but i takes alot to overheat. But i dont drive so aggressively so thats probs why it working fine for me

@@DiegoLopez-rf8yw im glad for being able to help :) also getting a high quality adapter is recommended. I have a cheap plastic one that cracked but i was able to reinforcement it whit superglue so its a bit stronger. The 3d printed parts are not allways 100% infill so they are hollow on the inside

I'm looking into so many different mods to improve g29 that at this point I just wish I'd bought a Thrustmaster. Not that the g29 FFB bother me a lot, but what does is the size of the wheel and toyish shifter.
Almost no gaming wheels have rims the size of a car
@@konroids4272 real wheels are around 35 - 40cm in diameter on sport cars. Real racing wheels are around 30cm in diameter. T300 is 28cm and Alcantara edition is 30cm. G29 is 26cm. 4cm doesn't seem much but it makes a huge difference.
Other more expensive wheels have pretty much the size of real racing wheels.

One question... Is it possible to "Damage" your g29 motors from a "heavier" wheel ?
im thinking to buy new wheel like this.. but im scared about the weight impact on motors...
also im looking for something DIY to change your steering wheel PITCH. im not driving a truck... g29 pitch(view) is kind wrong . at least for me.

Mine has a screw that's on the back of the round switch at the bottom that can only be accessed with the shell of the body taken off...
I did this exactly like the video and when i plug it in its detected by logitech program but not when I turn or when i push the pedals. Could you help me fix this? im really worried I broke it

what screws do you use to put the Aftermarket wheel on?
it either comes with some or you have to get them yourself

9:20 The Motherboard doesnt really seem to fit because the buttons (LMB/RMB) are prying up on it
Everything worked but when trying to load g29 it calibrates but will not turn on via ps button help

you dont need to but if you play on console i would keep them

do not use plastic adapters, they will break specially if you drift

i just did this to my wheel, now it doesnt pick up when i spin the wheel around, it worked 100 percent with no issues before so im kinda confused on whats happening. please help

Does your wheel wobble a tad up and down too? I just installed a wheel today and mine does that a little bit, so I’m nervous if it’s gonna break the rig.

I feel like that’s probably the 3D printed part I’m thinking of doing this but using a sparco quick release
well with a quick release it will deifnately wobble anless you buy a super expensive one

From what I've seen in other reviews on this matter fixing a bigger wheel will put alot of pressure on the wheel mount and will weaken it and possibly break I'd love a bigger wheel myself I have the g920 and drive in ATS/ETS2 but will just leave my wheel as it is

No the wheel was remove from ebay not long after i bought it

You just use the ones that come with the rim

@@beautifulbeaner i bought a set of m4 x 25mm hex button screws. they fit but i felt like i was stripping the threads inside. so im pretty sure its m3 or whatever is smaller than that.

i mean let’s be honest the g920 is mainly for a simulating rig for games, but you could try fitting it on in a real car, just saying you’d rather get a cool momo steering wheel, and id be cheaper.

No because it’s a different PCD. You need the opposite of the adapter in vid. Besides it’s basically a toy. Maybe on a go kart
