Yeah, I was a bit of a bummer on the barbecue, fortunately there is at least another hundred places I can try when I come back through Austin on my way back to Bangkok in a few weeks. I really did miss this feeling Rob.

What a nice little town, that’s what I miss seeing in America. I’m a southern boy at heart and love good barbecue. I lived and worked as an LEO in a small old town in Florida, St. Augustine, it almost reminds me of that Texas town. Enjoy your time and I would say no on the skateboarding bro.

Safe to walk with camera? 😂 yes, of course, Maty. I prefer the 1969 charger because of the tail lights, but the 1970s very cool as well. This little town is very quiet! It’s only about half an hour drive from Austin. Austin is the live music capital of the world, and it’s packed with awesome bars and clubs in food, I really miss living here to be honest with you.

I’ve had whataburger when I used to live in Austin. I thought it was just OK. I’m actually leaving Texas today and flying to California. Then I’m going to Florida. I’ll be back and get it Austin for a few days before I head back to Thailand. Unfortunately I won’t be anywhere near Dallas on this trip.
I only lived in Austin for one year before moving to Thailand, but I really loved it. I’ll be in California for a week, and then also in Florida for a week, before I return back to Thailand.
Absolutely, Tam! I was really shocked with the barbecue was not what I expected. I’ll have to go to the terry blacks version, or one of the other hundred plus barbecue places here in Austin. This is a problem that is easily resolved. I’m actually off to California today, then Florida. I’ll be back in Texas for a few days before I fly back to Thailand.
Sorry your experience at Black's was a bit of a letdown. It's my favorite. I always ask for brisket with extra flavor (fat), it's never dry and oh so good. Yeah, there's nothing like small town Texas, just love it.

Find the Good old Texan BBQ Serg where they do big joints of meat for the BBQ my friend joints like Brisket,Pork,Ribs,etc for 24 hrs cooking and basting my friend.
The evonomic scale of usa is undeniable. Highly developed highly regulated physical environment. Rules for everything. Thailand is wild west comparatively. Soi bakau is a bar with a street down the middle. 3 wheeled sidecars with no road worthyness. No permit required.
Those yellow things are supposed to come off but some people keep them on for some extra protection. personally im not a fan of them unless if you color match the bumper to make it blend

Yes the bumper bananas are supposed to be removed, but many owners leave them on. I’m not a fan of any of these Dodge products, but I think the “bananas” give it some flair.

Usually this small chain is amazing. I was disappointed so the next day I went to their other near my old condo, and it was awesome.
