The street dates of Punisher #94 and #95 were July 19th and August 16th, 1994. The Pulp Fiction script was completed in January of 1993 and filming wrapped in November of 1993. Pulp Fiction premiered at Cannes in May of 1994 but then wasn't in theatres until October 14th, 1994. So unless Frank Teran went to Cannes that year I would assume that he and Tarantino were simply on a similar wavelength and that neither of these works directly influenced the other.
First you had the Choe shoot interview which was amazing. Then you had the Peter Chung shoot interview and I've waited YEARS for a decent interview with him. Now you have Choe coming back again! You're spoiling us. Ever wondered what would come out the other end if Choe and Chung collaborated on something. I must admit I have. Thanks Ed and Jim. I bloody love your channel.
So stoked you guys did these issues, with Dave no less. I found 94 in a dollar bin about a year ago and it became my favorite Punisher. This is the best channel on RUclips yo.
There's an amazing detail to call out at 35:50 where the falling bullet casings get bigger and bigger across the panels until they're up close in the bottom panel by his boot
This made me interested in what else Frank Teran has done. Weird and varied output, to say the least! - Street Sharks - covers for Archie Comics licensed cartoon ! - Jaguar God from Verotik - What If? #87 featuring Sabertooth - Ka-Zar of the Savage Land #1(one-shot, I think) - Sabretooth - Back To Nature #1 - Dark Horse Presents #138 - Terminator cover and story - Hellblazer #140 - Green Arrow #1,000,000 - and some other Batman and DC comics...
Can this just officially be a new segment with Choe and have him come on every month at least and shoot the shit about whatever comic of the day. Choe X Kayfabe is a magical combo.
I never read this as a kid, but starting now I'm adopting this as my model of masculinity. ..NIN shirt, dragon tattoo on bald head, severe under bite.. - taking notes -
Batman - Jim Lee Superman - Tim Sale / Frank Quitely is good option too Spider-Man - Romita Jr Hulk - McFarlane Wolverine - Andy Kubert Punisher - Goran Parlov Moon Knight - David Finch
Pulp Fiction was released in 1994, which was revolutionary in film and pop culture media. I highly doubt, with all due respect to Teran if Tarrentino swiped from him and Marvel.
Whoa. Whoa. Whoa.... Holy unexpected validation Bstman. I heard Frank's name dropped by Ed on an old episode yesterday. I've been a Teran mark since 94 hit Big Planet Comics when I was a kid. I go to look him up on eBay and the old Puns are pricey. Now I know why. Rad. Oddly, my uncle owned a store in North Jersey & Frank Teran lived right around the way. My uncle didn't agree on how much I dug the dudes art, but still had him in for a signing. Still have autographed copies of 94 & 96. Not looking to sell or whatever, just siced that a guy only my uncle and me had ever heard of is getting some run. Big f'n ups ComKayf. Yall rule. I'm buying a shirt on payday.

I was not expecting Jim to be the one that has to get bleeped...lol😆
I went to my shop today and found these issues for $5 a pop. Too hype!

The anatomy and line work really remind me of Keith.
please add Dave to the crew..he's incredible man
Yeah! ChoeFabe needs to be a regular feature. Get him on once a month for whatever you guys wanna talk about.
Wow. This is kinetic frenetic
Also, we need an update on whether Dave got the pages.
Abnett, Lanning, and Teran's Punisher is right up there with Ennis. Absolutely perfect!

Dave should be a permanent guest on your show. He's great.

Pulp Fiction was released in 1994 . It was written in 92-93. Love the show
Man I really loved the series Thumbs Up that was one of my favorite internet finds years ago.
THANK YALL SO MUCH
I already loved this show, but adding Choe is just too great!!!!!!!!!!! Keep this coming whenever possible!!!
Pulp Fiction came out October '94 , which is the same as the cover date to Punisher 95. It must just be the zeitgeist.
They're back!!!
How the hell did I miss these?!?
Can this just officially be a new segment with Choe and have him come on every month at least and shoot the shit about whatever comic of the day. Choe X Kayfabe is a magical combo.
This is one of my favourite episodes yet
This is so wonderful, thank you guys.

Thanks for these eps guys. You've gotten me in to a whole lot of different comics from watching these videos!
Man, incredible work!
Wow I had to look up that Great White Concert after this and man that is some upsetting footage
Man I remember when these came out I was so up on Stephen Platts nuts I didn’t even pick these up. Looks like I made a huge mistake 😩
Batman - Jim Lee
Superman - Tim Sale / Frank Quitely is good option too
Spider-Man - Romita Jr
Hulk - McFarlane
Wolverine - Andy Kubert
Punisher - Goran Parlov
Moon Knight - David Finch
That punch at 30:29 is straight outta Fleischer's Popeye
I never heard of Frank Teran before this and hoo boy his shit if fire.
awesome !

He drew Jaguar God #1 written by Glenn Danzig for VEROTIK Comics
Judgement night is the shit !
I wonder how much influence these issues had on Daniel Warren Johnson?
Hilarious. Just watched Pulp Fiction (for the first time since the 90s) a few hours ago.
sam kieth and jrjr for sure
Awesome!
Great a love it
You the man Cho let’s talk about Usagi yojimbo ,!!!!!
Felt honoured to watch and listen to this nerd fest! Magic! 'Did he loose his shoes?' -- hit so hard!
