      Scott, you are right, sir.
Why are quality TV shows of this kind so very rare? Think about all the silly shows that have sprung from the "creative geniuses" of Hollywood. Most are utter rubbish...
Even Quinn Martin's later projects, while OK, never measured up to this show.
The Fugitive is a lonely giant of a TV show.

@@charlesbrown9213 Quinn Martin was a great producer of great shows you're right about some of his later achievements The Streets of San Francisco was fair,, Cannon was ok but Barnaby Jones with Buddy Ebsen was terrific 👍

The music is timeless and takes you back to the 60s as you can picture and feel the movement of Richard Kimble running, hiding, heart racing as LT. Philip Gerard pursues.

For four years, the world stopped at 10:00 pm Eastern time, to pray that Richard Kimble would evade capture 1 more week. In that final episode when he walked down those courtroom steps I cried like a small child. That is the impact this epic story had on me .I was 20

Nice to have the music on its own.
I used to sneak out of my bedroom to watch the show from the hallway until my parents realized I really liked the show.
Got to visit one of the filming sites where he worked for a circus I think. It was a real place in Westlake, CA where you could see wild animals up close.
Years later I met David Janssen when he was filming "Harry O" at Warner Brothers. I was too shy to do anything except say hi and shake hands.

Thanks and yes it was outstanding! So much so I attempted to get a doc of sorts in 1990. Met Roy Huggins at The old Musso & Franks on Hollywood blvd met with David’s mother on many occasion Bernice ( class act ) as we’re they all. Didn’t get to meet personally with Pete Rugulo but we spoke on the phone. Super cool people. Super cool piece of work from them all.

Trouble is that Silva America CD is the only official release of Rugolo’s own music library of music he was commissioned to compose for the series. But much of what’s on the CD wasn’t pulled by music editors John Elizalde and Ken Wilhoit to score the episodes, and loads of Rugolo music heard on the show is not on the CD-nor could it fit and still yield CD quality sound. Hopefully, some day La La Land or Intrada will issue of boxed set for room to contain all my favorite Rugolo tracks.

BUT we all know that it will not happen unless fans email these labels to make the boxed set happen. Don't be lazy and do it now!
