This is EXACTLY what I needed! A former competitive figure skater. Lots of falls on the tailbone. After I had my 3rd child my lower back started aching and started to go out on me. By the time I reached 35 I ended up on sickleave for over five years. I was bedridden now I am 44 and I struggle immensely with my mobility. It scares me to know that my body is in this condition and I often think where I’ll be at 60 I didn’t realize after seeing chiropractor massage therapy and Physio nothing seem to make sense as to why my back would constantly ache having watching this video. I understand why I have this back pain so I thank you so much for this video. I understand that it’s my hips and my tailbone and everything you explained that it all works together. I plan on continuing to do this video daily, and even twice a day. If I can, my mother lost a great deal of mobility, and as much as I love her with all of my heart, I don’t wanna end up struggling to walk when I am 70 having been bedridden, I never left the couch, I spent over 5 1/2 years sleeping on the couch, which clearly was not healthy for my back. now I understand exactly what my problem is and how I can try to fix this on my own. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart. You’re educated your empathy with some movements that makes be struggling for some you’re coming voice that makes you feel like everything’s going to be OK.❤
Dear Jessica, thank you SO MUCH for this hip stretch video! Doing the stretches even one time made a huge difference. I will do them often. The stretches even filtered into relief for my feet! That was totally unexpected. My feet usually hurt when I first get out of bed and this morning there was no pain what so ever. I have determined that tight hips affect way more than just hips. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
I've been working with a physical therapist on hip flexors/knee pain for months and I love your videos for an add on to the exercises they give me to do at home. Thank you so much.
Great stretches for my tight hip flexors that have been nagging me during my marathon training. I'm using this before this weekend's Chicago marathon. Thank you!
As a professional horse trainer and coach, my pelvis and hip flexors are SO important and mine tend to be quite tight. This video helped so much to open up and have more elasticity in my seat! Thank you!!
Thank you so much for this video! I've had problems with my left hip for nearly a year now, my physio in NHS said it was greater trochanteric pain syndrome, after years of deadlifting and squatting but as I started reading & watching a lot of stuff I decided to try new things and one was this video so thank you it feels good already
I had serious pain in my hip flexors that caused me to scream in pain one night. They recommended I start physical therapy. This is helping me. Thank you!
I really like what you said about making sure you’re body is convinced that it’s safe. Never thought of it like that. Solid stretch routine. Uncomfortable in a good way. Thanks!
amazing workout! i've followed it for a week and it helps me with back pain. However, I can't seem to straighten my legs during the forward-backward motion on 4:59. Is it normal and what should I do to be able to straighten my legs?
You've made such a positive impact on my life. You are wonderful at what you do, thank you. In this particular stretch when I shift myself back and forth, I feel so much tightness and pulling behind both my knees and down my calves. Can you please share which one of your stretches can help with this?
Oh this was a great video Jessica, found it really good and loved the pace of it, thank you. Your outdoor setting was beautiful and so tranquil making the practice even more enjoyable.💕
Thank you for this!! This is just in time for me. For the last week or so my right hip has been really tight, especially after sitting for 30 minutes or more at work. This helped me this morning. Hip still tight but better. I'm going to try to add this in a few times per week.
Thank you so much for this video - it’s been such a life saver! I haven’t been able to do core work for months because of my tight hip flexors but doing this short video before exercising helps so much 💕
Thanks Jessica, it helps me a lot with m y hips as I am 60 and I do a lot of mountain biking all year round with my wife and in snow and ice too!I love to keep in shape.
Thank you, I have only done a few of your videos, but the ones I do, I love, I do them over and over, this one once again didn't disappoint, I tell myself I don't have time for a workout, but some days my body says you don't have time to not have a workout, and it always thanks me afterwards, with less pain. Thank you miss Jessica, and keep up the good work.
Wow thank you so much, just did this for my hip flexors after my first workout in a few week. It felt amazing! I will continue to do this to help my tight hips and hopefully stop the clicking sounds when I walk sometimes.
Thanks so much, Jessica! I always, always have some pain and tightness on my glutes due to several decades of running. Ugh. This sequence of movements really help me stay injury-free and in much less pain with my running sessions. I appreciate your help!!!
Wonderful! Thank You Jessica for All your Videos!! Your Knowledge, Encouragement, and Respecting/Honoring... that we're all on different levels, journeys! 🙏♥️
What I would love is when you say "hip flexor" or are describing any muscle group is to point at it. I find myself having to look it up to see if that is where I am tight or having pain. Thank you
Thank you very much Jessica, these exercises are magical for me each time that I have some pain on my right hip,I weight 145 for 5.7".You're a goddess for me!❤
Hi Jessica, I get extreme pain in my left ovary which turns into sciatica and sends shooting pains down to my leg and heels. I can’t walk every morning. The doctors have been very unhelpful and said they can’t see anything in MRI scans but I do have cysts. I’m pretty sure I have sciatic endometriosis because of the link with my cycle. I lost some weight and the symptoms are much better but I still can’t walk in the mornings from the hip and heel pain. I don’t know what to do! I tried crunches and sucked my abs in tight as I could and caused a spasm of pain all over my back and now I can’t move for days :( I’m so sick of all this nerve and muscle and joint pain I don’t know what to do
May I suggest: Isolate which muscle group(s) are associated with your hernia and look for yogic breathing exercises that stimulate the underlying muscle tissue. Sometimes, it helps strengthen the muscles from the inside until you're able to stretch the muscles on the outside. Sending you love, light, healing, high vibes and high fives!!
“Find the place that feels safe. Not easy, not pain free. But safe” Thank you for this advice. It applies to stretching physically and mentally.
You are so welcome!
