What's your favorite keyboard feature that you can't live without? 😀
A favorite feature I can't live without on my keyboard, it's that I can push on it with my fingers to make letters and numbers appear on the screen.. 😏
my corne keyboard with tenting tripod haha
The Fekker Alive 80 also allows you to switch between Bluetooth, USB and Dongle with hotkey alone.
However, the Bluetoth isn't low latency and the hotkeys arent rebindable.
This feature is an sbolute godsend if you dont have a KVM though!
Yes, but it's not a split keyboard 😏
I have been loving my Defy so far this year. I have had a couple of weird issues where occasionally I have to turn on and off the right hand side if I pack it away and turn it back on again, but honestly guys, I don't think I can every go back to a traditional keyboard. (I can the muscle memory is still there but this keyboard is really good.) I love it and I have not even fully brought all the thumb keys to their full potential. Very comfortable, huge features, sounds decent, ect ect. I'm thinking about getting the outer shell painted with cerakote.
Oh, I'm sorry you had problems with your Defy! Have you contacted our costumer support department to solve them? You can write at contact@dygma.com so we can check it. On the other hand, thank you so much for your words! We are glad you like it! Show us when you have your Defy customized 😍
Outstanding video, as always!
Thanks! 😍
Yes, great feature. A must for these keyboards in this price range among others, that all Dygma keyboards have.
Bluetooth connectivity is a total must! 💪
Love the versatility of the Defy wireless connectivity, when it works right. My Defy is still buggy when I try and switch between the connection types. Patiently waiting for digma's next firmware update.
Hi! Just wanted to check if you have the latest firmware version and the most recent Bazecor update. If you do, and you're still experiencing random disconnects, there might be another factor at play. Send us an email at contact@dygma.com, and we'll be help you with that 😊
@@DygmaLab Yes, Just double checked. I am running the Beta 1.4 R4 bazcor. And on the 1.2.7 beta firmware. The Bluetooth works well and switching between devices is fine. The keyboard LEDs randomly blink and do the bluetooth startup animation blinks on and off. More a visual distraction than actual connection and function issue. Thanks for commenting back!
I wish I could say that Bluetooth is my favorite feature, it was one of the reasons I bought it, but it is not working well on my PC, it disconnected and connected randomly during typing
Hi Ricky! Do you have the latest firmware version and the last Bazecor update? If you do, then maybe there's another factor that's causing the random disconnects. Feel free to email us at contact@dygma.com so we can help you sort that out :)
all bt keyboards I own have unreliable connection, I even have magic spot in my apartment where they disconnect
Welcome to the future! I can't wait for mine to shiiiiip! >>
🎉🎉🎉🎉
one of the main reasons why i bought this keyboard tired of pressing a switch to change what device i am typinig on. well the raise 2
KVM Switches?
@@desisparta it is like a switchable usb hub so I can transfer the keyboard and mouse to another machine
The issue I have with using a keyboard to type via Bluetooth is that I have to tap on my phone anyway to navigate to each conversation. Sort of defeats the purpose Dominique mentions around the 0:50 mark if I have to constantly pick up my phone. I wish there was a way to fully control my phone with the keyboard too so I don't need to move my hands away every time.
With my old keychron I could navigate with tab, space and arrow keys fine on my iPhone. I imagine the same is true for the Dygma. It’s not perfect but good enough
I am not sure how is Dygma software these days, but in qmk/zmk you can simulate mouse movement and press, so you just have to map some keys. It works in android, no idea about IOS
@@alvimpaulo does a mouse exist in android?
@@Synovyx yup. You can connect any bluetooth mouse to it. You also can also put an "otg cable" and connect any usb mouse to any android kinda modern.
You can also configure mouse emulation on some layer. I have done it and it does the work. You need to adjust to use it and I hope they will get it better someday.
It also do the job when you work eg. one a train and have no place for mouse. If you use mostly keyboard as I do it works well enough
Bluetooth Baby made my day :D thx
😂😂
Subbed
Thanks! :) what type of content are you interested in?
damn thats cool
Yaaas, it really is 😎
Hi, I connected my defy to an android OS smartphone, but the eighth layer doesn't work - what can I do?
Hi! That's weird, does it only happen with that layer? If that continues happening, feel free to send us an email to contact@dygma.com so we can help with that!
@@DygmaLab Sorry, my mistake - my numpad was disabled, that's why.
Your video is a bit wrong at [1:23] because you can force BT mode while you are connected using wires 🎉
You are right, you can force BT mode while using wires, but isn't the beauty of having a bluetooth keyboard to be able to use it wirelessly? 🤔
@@DygmaLab yes it is.
But when I use it as my daily driver it discharges to often so a lot of time I have it connected via wires.
It would be great to have easy way to charge keyboards at night without taking out a neuron and not having to plug them off.
As I understood when you connect turned on keyboards (because of forgetting to turn them off) to the charger directly it can harm them.
damn, you lift?
Yes sir 💪
It's worth mentioning to anybody that is considering a purchase that the Defy's Bluetooth is buggy AF and the battery life is terrible so you'll end up have it plugged in a lot of the time anyway. (yes I have the latest firmware and Bazecor)
We are currently in the process of refining it to ensure that it operates flawlessly, but we apologize if it is causing you problems 🙏
I guess you're not going to make a video to tell people what a buggy mess they're buying into at the starting price of a new laptop. So it's up to the community to warn potential buyers. I would be content if I saw a tremendous effort to iron out all of these issues, but there have been 2 months between the last 2 updates and they are just different release candidates of the same version 😂 Where is all the money going? It's certainly not being used to put things right
@@ChrisHaupt@ChrisHaupt We are very much aware of the flaws of our software/firmware, and we have been very open to our community about it. But actually making a video about it is a great idea. We're not trying to hide anything. The backend does need a lot of work, and we are actually working on a new Bazecor and firmware version, which will have many connectivity bug fixes and improvements on the configuration options. We hope to launch this before the month ends or at the beginning of June. We do appreciate you being so patient with us! But I can guarantee you we are working our butts off to make things better 🙏
@@DygmaLab Well whoever you are, you're doing a very good job as Dygma's representative. Likewise thank you for your patience with discontented customers
@@ChrisHaupt Thanks Chris. I'm Dominique 😅
Please, improve your software.
We are working on it 💪🙌
The amount of lies in this video... multi bluetooth with wireless being new, to "buggy whatsapp". I am taking this as satire. :)
A split keyboard that's able to work via wires, Bluetooth, and RF is what's new. That's what we're referring to. If you know of any other split kb that can work with all 3 connections, let us know!
@@DygmaLab right on. Ya got me there. 😉
> first time this has ever been done
lmao, almost all pro Keychron keyboards have been doing that for years now, all ZMK based keyboards have that, I can continue but it's not the first, sorry for breaking your commercial. I also don't think you choose the 5 devices limit randomly, that's a hardware limitation that most bluetooth chips have nowadays! I lost all the trust I had in Dygma Lab for making such an ignorant mistake.
I think their claim is that they have both Bluetooth and a separate RF chip option for gaming
Others may have done that, I’m not sure
Hi @astrolemonade349! What we mean is that this is the first ever split programmable columnar keyboard that can work wired, BT, and RF.
