Great vid i would also highly recommend to learn nova as one of the first characters. He teaches new players everything about umvc3 since he has a great tool kit such as having ground bounce, wall bounce, flight, etc. He teaches players basic marvel neutral and basic marvel combos
@@kahalghafriit has a arcade mode and a little story of the character that Lands the last hit on the boss after boss fight it's a what if type of very little story of what happened after that person beat the boss it's nice
Just grabed UMvC3 and MvC: Infinite this past week on the current playstation sale.. both games packaged for under $20 .. probably the best $20 i ever spent
Yeah it’s a lot of information to take in. But hopefully you’ve been on the tekken 8 wave recently, if you can master any element of that you can do this
@@3headedsnake388 For real? I've been playing Tekken a lot lately (about a year), and it's definitely one of the hardest fighting games I've picked up, but I really enjoy it. I've been a Smash player for over 10 years, and a lot of the fundamentals carried over to Tekken, which helped me learn it pretty quickly. 2D fighters like Marvel vs. Capcom 3 and Street Fighter seem confusing since I'm used to 3D/platform fighters, but MVC3 looks really interesting! I'm excited to see how it goes.
Man, I was actually trying to get into this game for like years and I always end up quitting. My love for Wolverine's design within this game is wild. This video makes me want to dedicate lots of my time learning it again. Thank you!!!
Thank you for differentiating playing for fun and playing to win lol. Solid fast primer but you forgot about crossover counters and basic movement (dashes, flights, etc.) Other than that pretty good. I particularly liked Step 2 and onwards
This may be a dumb question, but is there anything I’m doing wrong with the special attacks? Because even when I click all the directional buttons in order it feels like the move is rarely pulled off, I tried to do it faster but it still didn’t work, any tips?
bro please help, I just downloaded the game and am cinfused, the game is showing L, H, S, and other buttons and I don’t know how to perform these attacks, can someone give me a crash course
I can’t understand yall because nobody is actually showing wich button to push their just refuring to the buttons with letters that aren’t on the controller I’m so confused and will give up I just wanna know what button is block
One thing is you MUST do is to seek out the first 2 Mvc games, X-Men vs Street Fighter, Marvel Super Heroes etc. on consoles or Fightcade to understand what it was that made this fighting game franchise so great and have a new appreciation for Mvc3/Umvc3 . Then its just a matter of playing your favorite characters with good friends (strangers you play online are good for practicing but they are 9 times out of 10 Zero may Doom, Morrigan/hidden missles and/or Nova/Spencer. Avoid these players at all costs and don't be a soulless clone. These games were meant to inspire originality
Would heavily advise against playing this shit. Half the roster is pointless to learn because of the top tiers, every combo takes 2 centuries to complete and will always end with your character dying if you’re the one getting hit and the switch when your character dies is just as, if not more cancer than fighterz SnapBack meta.
Step 1: Pick Vergil~
Step 2: *GIT GUD~*
After play enough, try dante to get more skill (That wasn't an insult, it was advice, worked for me)
I use fire brand some times iron man or wolverine Deadpool and spiderman
I play Nemesis, Dante, Vergil. 🗿

Great suggestion! Nova is definitely a good choice for a new player.
Word I'll fix him to be the best guardian
One of the best fighting games ever made! Please give it a try 🙏
Is it worth it if you have no one around u playing it? Does it have any single player mode that is worth trying?

I love marvel vs Capcom 3 I just find it's combo system and it's tech hard honestly
Does it have easy mode like infinite?
Just got the game a couple weeks ago. Most fun I’ve had with a fighting game in a while.
Just grabed UMvC3 and MvC: Infinite this past week on the current playstation sale.. both games packaged for under $20 .. probably the best $20 i ever spent
Did you play much infinite?
@@VinnieSpaz negative, just a few fights to see the characters and Infinity Gem specials
“Play who you like”
I like Iron Fist, Hsien-Ko and Phoenix Wright!
1:12
Me who gets touched once at the beginning of the match and instantly looses one character.
So much fun
Just one character? Consider yourself lucky!
As a Mortal Kombat scrub my whole life, this game is like throwing a rock at my head.

Years of Injustice and Storn 4 couldn't have prepared me for what I was going to experience the first time I booted this game up.
@@mr.picklethanos7340 I have started playing MvC2 as well and it’s even WORSE
Yep. I bought it on PC and genuinely wanted to like it. It just doesn't click with my why of grasping fighting mechanics
wish the game had a tutorial so i didnt have to learn everything myself but luckily its quite similar to street fighter
thats what "Mission Mode" is for.
Praxticing Situational control
@@Last4Life oh ok thanks
what the hell kinda Street Fighter are you playing 😭
@@morgboat744 yeah i was kinda trippin there
The ground combat is kinda like sf a little bit but not really
To have fun in Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3, you must be the one applying offense...

as someone who plays the game this is the bare minimum guide most of the stuff he said is common sense

Yes it’s super hard pink dash infinity shit it’s hard man not an easy game to play. Just watching tns and u see pros play
Learn to do Doom foot dive loops.
You forget to mention have insanely good people are in this game and how broken the hit boxes are. Pointless to go online.
Online is still up and decent to find matches???

I want to try but I’m sick of the complicated control schemes that Capcom’s fighting games have had over the years.
