Former mvc2 player here, finally made the gap of picking up this from game the previous one. Ive finally got the general idea for this game but the dashes are something new to me to master. I've seen this method, changing a lot of the buttons on the main pad such as Special to B button Y to L M H and R2 to Heavy, reading about macros and how some people use it which makes the plinks easier, and just understanding it. What i really want to figure out is how comfortable i am with the combo conversion with various different type of button configurations and how smooth will any of it feel. So get an idea of what I'm going for I'm picking up Dante so no 8-way dash and i know some certain button configurations can help doom mag so i want to figure out what the best comfortable play would be and least not choking dashing movement

@@JubbaJ happy holidays man! Havnt touched this game in over a year, sword loops with Virgil you mean? The biggest challenge was holding a button to charge sword. Holding L is different for everyone, I would ask DXP for his tech. He has a controller with paddles on the back, and attached a macro to L, so he holds that. I never picked up Virgil, but when I tried, I changed my Left trigger to L, and held that. I also found tech, if you utilize your triggers correctly, you can hold buttons and still attack without losing charge. Check out my “how to lightning loops with zero on pad” video for that! Hope this helps!
Im still practicing plinks because i can't get it all the time. I tried using the trigger (MH) and canceling with L but it felt like the distance of the trigger was too far so i never got used to it. So i am practicing with the face buttons and i am a bit more consistent like that but still kess up some times.
I feel this! I related to this the most when I used ANY OTHER controller that wasn’t the one in this video. Xbox one and all PlayStation controllers don’t feel good to me. Hopefully you find your solve soon!
@@tj_puma been using the Ps5 controller for a while and i gotta say it's the most comfortable one i've used. I would practice on stick but it takes a lot of time and haven't using stick for way too long. My hands are not as fast as they used to in the arcades back then.
I have pretty much the exact set up as you button wise just i use ap s4 controller and I just have an impossible time with plink dashing even trying to fine time the timing.
There’s also a concept called 2 button plinking on pad, try it! Just press the B and Y buttons (or Circle and Triangle buttons for ps4), simultaneously, but the B/Circle button slightly first, and you’ll get the plink that way. I can’t do it either, but some ppl can
I’m so happy to learn this game in 2023

@@e69alpha takes time bro! Baby steps
@@tj_puma I could always do it the old school way dash and press down but plinking just gives me heavy kick right out of dash

Yes, the controller matters! I tried plinking on Xbox 1 pad for a month, I never mastered it.

I can’t do it either, but some ppl can
