Hey man! Nice project! It's actually pretty interesting that a stock clutch is able to hold so well. Reading in the comments, I have the following question: what is a hybrid turbo? A turbo having a different hot side and a different compressor? Why is it beneficial and why are bolt on turbos not so common as upgrades?
Hybrid turbo is stock turbo with bigger compressor wheel. Sometimes tuners put bigger turbine wheel at hot side. Problem with hybrid is A/R ratio. Boost control on that turbo is very difficult. For e.g. you can have lot of underboost, or lot of overboost. Way better option is to install bigger turbo, with bigger housing and adequate A/R. Advantage of using hybrid is that you can put it on your car without modifying intake pipes and exhaust manifold.
Clutch is holding, but I think that it's end is near.... after 50.000km on big turbo and 40.000 km on remap, and many km on stock.... :D
Ah, I see. What clutch will you be using? Also is it possible to upgrade the DMF or it doesn't take as much as a beating as the clutch does? Do you have an idea what hybrid can be done on a BKC engine? I don't even know what turbo is used on it. :D
I will use stock clutch with enforced clutch plate. This is best option for daily usage. Also I will stay with DMF, because SMF can cause gearbox chatter, and also can cause damage to gearbox. BKC engine uses KKK BV39. I think max boost is around 1.6 bar for this turbo before blow up. I will go to bigger turbo for your engine and ASZ/ARL nozzles. BKC has "eco friendly" nozzles.
Oh, unfortunately my budget is limited for now. If I just use ARL nozzles and stock turbo then remap it, can that take me to around 170 hp?
I think yes. Your turbo is same as on Polo/Fabia TDI 130 BLT engine.

i had an axr tuned to 165hp run it with old turbo and new clutch and beat it day after day never wanted to die only thing it didnt like was going 215 for to long and got the famous cooling leak building up pressure in the cooling system and needed to revil after a few races XD but stil did olmost 500.000k+
What an amazing car . Thinking of buying a golf or bora in the future when i finish school. Will be looking to increase some power bit for me 190 or 180 bhp and 400 torque is enough. Is it achievable if I do not change the exhaust but change borh turbo and intercooler?
If you want to change turbo, you need to change downpipe and intercooler, because stock TDI 130 intercooler is so small, same as 90 hp version, and charged air is so hot, even on stock engine, that you couldn't reach desired power level without upgrading to FMIC. You can eventually buy ARL PD150, which has better stock intercooler than PD130 ASZ, and you can expect 180-190hp from stock turbo and cooler..

Cao, da li i dalje imas ovog golfa? Kakvi su utisci posle par godina? I koliki bi bio okviran iznos ako bih ovako nesto radio u novaspeed? (2.7tdi turbo, downpipe, interkuler, mapa, itd)
Prodao sam ga. Iznos varira dosta, sve zavisi gde šta uradiš i koliko to platiš. U Novaspeedu mogu da ti izmapiraju auto, ali moraćeš da nađeš nekoga da ti zbudži sve ovo... Bez 1000 u džepu ne kreći posao da radiš, a da završiš projekat kako treba trebaće ti više. Osim toga, sve ima svoj vek trajanja. pa i glave na TDI motorima koje pucaju na tim snagama. Ruku na srce možeš jako mnogo da pređeš pre nego što ti prsne glava.

Drugi interkuler? Koji? Trece, da li promena celog izduva doprinosi performansama? Mozda su malo glupa pitanja, ali uzeo sam bas dobar primerak PD130 golfa, i mnogo mi se dopada ideja da ga naguram na 180~190ks i da mi bude daily, a iskustva u ovom reonu nemam :). A sto se tice novca, pre bih ulozio vise sada u startu da bude stabilan na toj konjazi, jer cu ovaj auto zadrzati bar 3 god.
@@mihajlostamenkovic69 FMIC znači Front Mount Intercooler. Ubacio sam jedan omanji intercooler u masku napred i dobio bolje hlađenje vazduha iz turbine. Za 2.7 sam se odlučio jer ima manje boost lag-a, lakše se vozi auto sa njim, na stazi i u saobraćaju motor bolje reaguje na gas, cena je tada bila ista.
Could you give some info on the piping? Im planning on getting fmic for my pd aswell but not sure about piping and how to go with it.
Tagic Mrooper I have bought fmic kit with piping, but it needed some mods to fit perfectly. Front bumper, lower charge pancake pipe, better hoses because hoses in kit are bad for 2.3 bar of boost. Pipes has 68mm diameter, exhaust is 60mm. Piping between turbo and intercooler should be flexible. I have modded OEM pancake pipe and OEM red boost hose which allows engine movement.

Po meni ovo je nekih pravih 170 konja, mislim tako mi se čini ubrzanje...
+Baška Bend Pogledaj na mojem kanalu ubrzanja od ovog istog auta, imaš stock 131KS, remap 170KS i ovo sada. Imaš čak i s
štopericu, 170KS ne može da ide 6.25 sec od 0-100, već nekih 7.2.

Druze, imam isti golf tj 150ks al najvaznije ima grijanjr u sjedistima 😂, nego moze li se sa mapom dobiti 180ks, da li ukidanje erg dodaje ista snage i jel istina da se puno gubi na ubrzanju zbog proklizavanja tockova, poznanik ima istog ali kaze sa 205/50 16 gumama proklizava ko lud i bolje je staviti 225/45(40) 17 sto je taman za golfa 4 da se ne pretjeruje
Smanjices proklizavanje sa sirim i boljim gumama, ali i tvrđim oslanjanjem... opruge i amorti bolje da su malo tvrđi. Gubi se dosta na proklizavanju. EGR znači kad se ukloni ako imaš dosta boosta, preporučljivo je ukloniti ga, na 2 bara počinje sam da se otvara. Sam po sebi EGR ume da isprlja usis, ali ne utiče na snagu kada je sve stock jer je otvoren kada motor radi na leru ili na niskim obrtajima. ARL bez problema može na 180ks sa remapom, to je ujedno i neki siguran remap. Može i više od toga, ali opet sve zavisi u kakvom je stanju motor, dizne, turbina, kuler, cevi...creva... Što se tiče guma, 225/45/17 je taman za Mk4.

Pozdrav druze, bavis li se izradjivanjem mapa mozda? Imam projekat Seata Ibizu PD130, Airtec FMIC + hard piping kit, GTD2060VK preradjena na vakuum, PD150 srafovi glave 4Bar map senzor, EGR delete i trazim nekoga ko moze uraditi pouzdanu mapu za sve. Pregledao sam tvoje klipove vise puta i interesuje me da li je moguca saradnja ukoliko si raspolozen, kao i kako bismo mogli stupiti u kontakt. Hvala

da li je ovo maximum izvucen, i koliko dima ima? pitam jer ide odlicno , ali recimo vidjao sam sa ovim setupom (turbo gtb 1756 , stock dizne, interkuler, fabricki izduv -samo bez katalizatora, KN filter ) 220-230 ks, U sm chiptunning Gradiska, radjeno, pa sad , sta je razlika?
+Jasmin Kadic Ovaj takođe nema katalizator. Izduv je fi60, samo ima zadnji lonac protočni. Meren je na 199 HP na točku, a što se tiče preračunavanja na crank-u je izmereno samo 208.5 KS. Sto se tice dima, pa ima ga na punom gasu, na nizim obrtajima ako se potopi naglo gas moze posteno da zadimi. 230KS sa stock diznama je mozda moguce postici u nekom piku, ali je to smesno, jer nemas svuda tih 230KS, a mozes da imas ogroman EGT. Ovde nema pikova na grafikonu, najverovatnije je to i zbog boost leak-a koji je sada resen stavljanjem novih creva. EGT retko kada pređe 750C. Dyno u SM-u je malo optimističan, viđao sam svašta odande. Realnost za GTB1756VK i 1.9 TDI sa stock diznama je oko 200 HP na točku. Nema KN filtera...običan je, serijski.
Da li je moguće izvući više na valjcima ? Pa verovatno da... ali u praksi može da se desi da ide lošije zbog velikih EGT vrednosti.

Moze li taj mjenjac podnijeti 500Nm?
U suštini motor je isti, razlika je u diznama koje su 520cc umesto 550cc, pa je eventualno maksimalna snaga manja nekih 5-10KS sa dovoljno velikim turbom. Nisam siguran za taj automatik da je u stanju da podnese 500Nm.
Da, i kvacilo je vece za 12mm cini mi se.To i mene isto brine. A ne mogu da nadjem za mjenjac koliko moze da podnese. 5 brzina tip-tronic.

Compression is stock 18.5:1, all engine is completely from factory with ARL headbolts. Boost is 2.3 bar, stock for 131hp is 1.35 bar.

Depends how long you are going uphill with full throttle. For e.g. typical hillclimb raise EGT up to 650C, which is ok. You simply can't hold full throttle whole time. If you start from 0-200, EGT would be about 800C. EGT at 230kmh is about 900C, which is not recommended on longer period.

Have you tried on dyno how SOI affects power? Stock vs more ? I guess stock is 25 right ?
Yes, 25 is stock for ARL, 23.5 for ASZ i think, but engines are same, same pistons and nozzles. Over 4 degrees SOI is not recommended (not safe). Some people run 33 SOI but this can easily lead to piston crack. This engine now has almost 300.000kms on clock and still runs well. I was changed downpipe, because old DP was bad, also I was changed injector on cylinder #1 and camshaft was better adjusted, so now power is ~220HP 480Nm and I also added wather/methanol injection and with this I can safely run ~230-235hp 500Nm with same boost. Ecu file is also changed, duration is lowered at low rpm/boost because there was a lot smoke. In normal driving conditions now is almost smoke free, only when you push full throttle, there is some smoke at high rpm.
Tested ever with stock SOI ? I just can guess stock soi on low rpm area can make more torque, while more soi after 3000 - 3500 rpm can do more power
My mate was tested, but he wasn't happy with gains, maybe few HP with great risks. Also with earlier SOI you sacrifice efficiency. If you want more HP/torque buy bigger nozzles.
More SOI less efficiency or how's that ? More SOI must make more power especially on high rpm.
If you inject diesel too early, piston would be exposed to big cylinder pressure and you can face with negative torque and also with excessive piston stress. Also because of negative torque you will loose efficiency. Long-term exposure to this timing also lead to piston damage, conrod damage and excessive oil consumption, only for few HP. It is much better to install bigger nozzles and Wather/Meth injection.

Stock ARL has bigger turbo, better intercooler and stronger headbolts, everything else is same. Mine ASZ has ARL headbolts, bigger turbo, better intercooler and it is actually ARL.

Flange for downpipe or flange for manifold ? I have original flange from Audi, welded on the 1.9 manifold, and custom flange and downpipe for GTB turbocharger. GT1749V have completely different downpipe exhaust flange.

Muki Uzi Exhaust manifold is from 1.9tdi but I had welded original flange for GTB turbocharger. Flange was welded with special electrodes for cast iron. Turbo is mounted with bolts on manifold.

How much more could you get out of a pd150 golf? Have you ever driven one?
About same, because engine is same. Same nozzles, but different stock turbo and intercooler. Max for PD150 from stock turbo is about 190hp.

@@Pr0vost If you aren't intent to make heavy modifications, buy ARL, but if you plan to install GTB, you need car in better shape, lower mileage etc. In stock form ASZ spools faster, but ARL is faster after 3500 rpm.

wow how much did you pay? Does it also work without a 3" DP?
GTB1756VK is used, paid about 220 €, very good condition, I used some ebay intercooler kit with pipes and clamps and this also needed some workaround. I used TDI VP exhaust manifold and machined some adapter flange for GTB turbo, copper gaskets and I got downpipe with welded GTB turbo flange for about 70 euros. I also bought new exhaust silencer, high flow and high flow resonator for about additional 100 euros. 3.5 bar MAP sensor and EGR delete pipe costs me 50 euros and custom remap 250 euros. I was paid 100 euros for GTB vacuum conversion and 250 euros for additional works on car. There was about 2-3 days of work. I also throw 70-80 euros for better turbo hoses, so on this video was old low quality hoses, I bought new much much better, so finally I am boost leak free.
So, tuning costs me about 1200 euros but, for 35.000 km I had also some spare costs. I had no problems at all with engine, turbo, but I had problem with engine mount bolts and bad quality hoses (which I was replaced). I also putted Wather Methanol injection, but I have problems with pump, so I need to repair WMI pump.
Now car runs great after 33.000 km, drives almost like stock, but acceleration and top end are great. Fuel economy is also like on stock car.
Why you think that this setup won't run with 72mm downpipe ? I used 60mm downpipe and it works great, wider downpipe should be better.

How the hell could you even think of the stock clutch handling ~450nm
THD Lightfl4sh That is 6 speed manual gearbox with Sachs clutch, it holds 400Nm without problems if it isn't burned. 450Nm is possible. Currently I have Sachs performance pressure plate with new clutch and it holds 480Nm in every gear.

Кристиян Георгиев Safety limit for stock nozzles, yes, it can push out few horses more. I drive it for 80.000km without engine problems. But timing belt should be replaced at 20.000kms!!!

Cao, evo mene opet. Krenuo sam u igrariju tjunirana i vec naleteh na prvi problem. Hteo sam kao osnovu da uzmem proverenu mapu sa bratovog mk4 tdi p130. Medjutim, HW brojevi su nam isti, a SW je slican, s tim da su poslednja 4 broja na mom 8xxx, a na njegovom 6xxx. Jel bih mogao da bacim istu mapu bez rizika da zablokiram ECU ili nesto slicno?
Mora checksum da se poklapa sa tvojim ECU.

@@mihajlostamenkovic69 To može, prepravi se tvoja mapa da ima iste parametre. Šrafovi glave služe da spreče probijanje kompresije između dihtunga, glave i bloka. Od PD150 imaju veću zateznu čvrstoću.

You need to change intercooler, turbo and exhaust. Also you have to do ecu remap.

ARL turbo is GT1749VB, GTB1756VK is from Audi V6 2.7 TDI engine. If you have ARL/ASZ injectors, ARL FMIC and Turbo you can get 190Hp with 400-410 Nm, but this power is in some peak. I know some guy who's drove Leon ARL with 200 Hp stock hardware, but his turbo had blown up. So... maximum safe limit for stock ARL hardware is about 185HP, and for ASZ about 170HP.

You are using 1749 hybrid to 17/56. Much better is to use bigger turbo, because od housing and A/R ratio. Only reason to use hybrid is because plug and play, you shouldn't mess with manifolds and adapters. In practice hybrids doesn't last long, boost control is awfull, 1 in 10 hybrids works well. Maybe you are lucky. :-) I know some guys with hybrid 17/52 17/56...etc. no one has more than 190hp on 1.9 diesel.

1. Stock ARL turbo (GT1749VB), stock ASZ turbo (GT1749VA). GTB1749VK is not from ARL engine!
2. Hybrid 1749 with 56mm compressor 17/56 ?
3. GTB1749VK is from Audi V8 4.2 TDI 4.2 TDI has two GTB1749VK. This is third generation VNT, like GTB1756VK and GTB2260VK...
4. GTB1756VK is stock turbo from Audi V6 2.7 TDI, 56mm compressor, stock 190hp.
There is big difference between GTB and GT series. New turbochargers are "oval port" GTD1446VZ from Golf 7 GTD 184hp 2.0. This is small turbo, fast spinning

PD130 in Golfs, Leons and A3 has 550cc ASZ engine, same as ARL. EU4 BLT and AVF from Passat has 520cc nozzles. Not every one PD130 has 550cc nozzles, but ASZ has.

My Civic 2,2 ictdi stock ic and turbo(gt1752) stage1 reprog 195hp and 405Nm . 4.gang 100-160 8,7 mp. 402m 15,2 @ 148km/h. :)
Jozef DaNos That is pretty good. I had 15.2 @148 with stock turbo and remap at 170hp 444Nm. PD engines are very torquey. Now I go from 100-160 4th 7,7 sec.
One of my acquaintances factory Seat Leon 1,9 arl tdi 150hp,stage 1. Stock 1749 turbo(1,7 bar) and cooler, approximately 210 horsepower ones. His best time slickk with rubbers 14,45 and 157km/h. I do not believe it if I do not see it.
I highly doubt that ARL with GT1749VB can do healthy more than 200 HP. I push 2.3 bar with my GTB1756VK, which is looot more air than GT1749VB at 1,7 bar, and I have same nozzles and engine like ARL, but I have now 220 Hp and more than 200 Hp from 3100 to 4800rpm, which is hardly possible with 1749.
I also installed Wather/Methanol kit, which adds 13 hp to 220 and 100C lower EGTs.
On stock turbo you can push earlier timings and but engine can make loooot of smoke and EGT, and maybe can reach little bit more than 200 hp, but you are at risk of conrod damage, cracked pistons, turbo failure.... etc... This setup lasts at least 30.000 kms with little or no smoke.
I've seen one stock ARL with 201Hp in peak, but other had maximum 185-190 relatively safe.
Black Jack What do you think the gt1752v onto a how large a pressure it is possible to pull turbo up maximum? 1,7 ? My aim the 210-220Le stage the 2. the factory intercoolert I would exchange it for bigger one ...Ezt serves the performance yet this turbo? (2,2 ictdi stock 140hp) currently 195 Le on a bench taking the measure, and only 1 tenth was a bar claimed on the turbo. Stock turbo pressure 1 bar.
Jozef DaNos GT1752V is hybrid or what ? VW T5 has GTB1752V, but this is different turbo. If it is GTB, I think that 1.8 bar is possible on 1.9 TDI. I don't know for 2.2 CDTI because of different engine volume, maybe less, 1.7-1.75 bar is max and 210 HP.

I highly doubt this. My speedo lying only 4-5kmh at 160, please measure your speedometer, than record video from 100-180 in 4th... and you will se how much is slower your stock 1749VA Ibiza. Keep in mind that weight difference isn't so high... between golf 4 and ibiza PD130 fr, only 30 kilos.
With 1749VA and very strong remap you can't get more than 190HP... that is theoretic maximum. In practice this is only 160-180 HP on very healthy engine. Actually this Golf is measured later to 215 Hp and 476Nm.

You want to hybridize with 17/56 ? I am not recommending that, but if it's your choice, that's ok for me. If you wan't good spool, consider new GTD1752VRK, from BMW 320d 184. It's enough for 220hp and spools same or better than stock.

Trebao bi ti menjač sa šest brzina za početak i kvačilo od njega. Stock kvačilo na 5 brzincu je smešno. Osim toga, trebaju ti veće dizne, te od 101KS mogu da izvuku max 165-170 KS, za više od toga ti trebaju od ARL ili ASZ od 550cc. Kod mene je ASZ motor. Ostatak setupa izgleda ovako:
1. GTB1756VK konvertovan na vakuum
2. Downpipe od turba sa pletenicom fi 60
3. Ceo auspuh fi60, dva protočna lonca rezonatora, nazad prohrom, u sredini rezonator, zadnji lip od 2.8 4 motiona OEM
4. Intercooler, aluminijumski napred u braniku
5. Cevke i creva, custom pravljeno
6. 3.5 bara MAP senzor od Alfe 2.4 mJET od 210KS.
7. ATE Power kočnice napred od S3/TT 312mm, nazad stock dimenzije takođe ATE power
8. Eibach Sportline crvene opruge i KONI STR:T amorti
9. Silent blokovi od pune gume
10. Oil catch can (posuda za skupljanje uljnih para)
11. EGT merač temperature izduvnih gasova
12. Boost digitalni merač za pritisak turbine
13. Oil temp merač za tempeaturu ulja
Dakle...bez merača nemoj ništa da radiš, a za početak ti trebaju drugi menjač, kvačilo i dizne, a kad to već hoćeš da radiš gledaj da ojačaš novu korpu koju budeš uzimao.
Za sada imam pređenih 15.000 km na ovom setupu, išao sam 2x na duži put i sve radi prilično pouzdano. Još uvek ima da se poradi na mapi jer se ponekad dešava na malom gasu da uđe u limp mod zbog underboost-a, jer je očekivani boost na tom malom gasu manji od aktuelnog. Osim toga trebalo bi još dovesti u red količinu dimova na nižim obrtajima, ali to su sve sada sitna podešavanja. Potrošnja goriva pri normalnoj vožnji je praktično fabrička.

Fixni zamajac jedino ublažava vibracije koje motor prenosi na menjač. Jedna od varijanti je Valeo 4P kit sa fiksnim zamajcem i ojačanje korpe. Sa prelakim zamajcem možeš da iskusiš tandrkanje menjača na leru.
Konverzija turba je odrađena na sledeći način:
Skinut je elektronski aktuator i stavljen je vakumski, ali je bilo potrebno da se skrati poluga od varijabile. Kod elektronskog aktuatora hod je mnogo veći nego kod vakuum membrane, pa je neophodno skratiti polugu na turbu. Kada se to uradi, potrebno je da nađeš izduvnu granu od 1.9 TDI stari tip sa turbom na šrafljenje, jer noviji tip ima izliveno kućište turbinskog dela zajedno sa izduvnom granom. Nakon toga napraviš adapter na koji možeš da ušrafiš taj turbo, koji ima rupu identične veličine kao i turbo, a rupa se na izduvnoj grani proširi. Ploča, tj. flanšna za turbo mora da se poravna na CNC mašini da ne bi dolazilo do puštanja gasova. Kada je sve odrađeno kako treba, dihtung nije potreban. Ako je loše urađeno, imaš problem sa granom. Takođe neki vrše konverziju tako što zavare GTB turbo na granu od 1.9, ali nisam baš za to da se vari gus.
U suštini to je najbitniji i najpipaviji deo.

No, this is ASZ engine, stock gearbox ERF code, DMF...Very strong gearbox. Now this project has 44.000 km and it runs better than on this video.

Tako što nema 112KW. U prevodu neispravna je. Izmeri je na valjcima pa onda tvrdi.

Nice, i'm planing to buy a new turbo for my ASZ, and i'm betwen 1756 and 2260
If you are not planning to upgrade nozzles I suggest 1756, or even 2056. 2260 is good turbo, but if you want to use full potential, you need bigger nozzles and race camshaft. After this you also need to upgrade clutch, because 2260 with firad +80% nozzles and Dbilas 272 on this engine is capable for 280 HP.

4 is okay for stock PD130/150 nozzles. 25 is stock. It lasts for 80k kms without any single problem with engine - no oil consumption, no head gasket problems. Also I have stronger head bolts.
engine brakes over 26 degrees to 4000 already tried.
Stock is 22.9 or 23.5 in map 4000 rpm.
puntoimpact Stock for 150 or 130? I have 28 at more than 4000 i think. I should take a look at the remap file. You probably right that more advance under 4000 should make negative torque.

you have a dyno map, you should shift where you have maximum power, i doubt that it is at over 4400 rpm.

Look, this engines are very tough. I drive this turbo over 50.000km now and I haven't any problems with engine. Oil consumption is same as before 100.000km, fuel consumption, sound. I also have EGT gauge, so I can monitor exhaust temperature.

This car is even more powerful now, equipped with Wather/Methanol Injection, better downpipe, better turbo hoses and really works awesome. I never push hard when engine is cold and servicing is always in time at 10.000kms with quality synthetic oil.
Clutch was remained stock for now, but I think that I should reinforce it soon. This is the weakest part of this car.

i think you remap can run better with better timings... 43.3 Degree duration is really long at SOI 28.3 degree and will produce at high temperatures you should go to SOI 30 Degrees or higher on high rev, or just replace that stock PD elements, so you dont need to inject so long...

Naravno. :) Do sada sam prešao 35.000 sa ovim i nisam imao problema sa motorom. Ako se iživiljavaš na autoputu i voziš ga 200-250 jedno pola sata, onda ćeš ga ubiti vrlo brzo.
Brate ja nisam u zivotu vozio 200 a kamoli 250 moja četvorka 74kw ne moze ni 180 :D
CLERIC Ako ne voziš dugo pod opterećenjem, onda će ti motor preći samo 300.000 umesto 500.000. :-)

0-100 za 6.3 sec, 0-160 za 14 sec nije sporo za 209 KS, zapravo ima više od toga. Pogledaj drugi video. Ovde možeš da vidiš trećom i četvrtom od 44-52 sec ubrzanje od 100-160, to je 8 sec, što nije sporo za 210KS, ali je moje šaltanje sporo. :)

Pa šta ? Moj je stock išao 8.6 sa prednjom vučom, 131KS bez remapa. Na ovom videu je start iz mesta sniman po kiši. To koliko je auto jak možeš da vidiš naročito posle 100. Izmeri od 0-160 ili od 0-200 (ako može da ide toliko), pa ćeš da vidiš koliko je slab sa tih 130KS.

Yep I have a 03 Fabia RS and my clutch was rated for 420nm and it slipped after remap and ibiza intercooler install.
I got a 580 nm Sachs sport clutch, flywheel and release bearing and it works like a charme even at ~200 hp and ~450 nms
