The under $3000 USD MSRP makes the Honda XR150L attractive, but the Honda reliability makes the XR150 even more attractive.
Yoshimura has been working with Honda for decades, we couldn't leave this awesome little small bore commuter/beginner bike alone. The air cooled 149cc 5 speed was ready for some more power and torque so we rolled up our sleeves and got to it.
After choosing our RS-2 slip-on for the task our development team was able to squeeze much more performance from the XR. The RS-2 jettisoned 2 pounds from the stock unit and it also provided the XR an increase of +5% max HP and 1.7% max torque. Now the XR has gains across the entire power spectrum and is ready to tackle trails and highways alike.
This RS-2 Enduro Series Slip-on includes an installed USFS spark arrestor SA-02-K.
Yoshimura's RS-2 is proudly designed, developed and manufactured in Chino, California.

Sounds great! I do wish it was a full system. $499.99 for a full exhaust would be much easier to justify.

Full system would not ad that much performance and would add $100 + to the cost.

I agree that $500 is a lot for just a slip on. I don’t want a full exhaust. I could see maybe spending $300. Can find similar options for $100. I don’t like the styling at all but understand that it’s a quality piece.

Sounds amazing! Love the look and sound of this slip-on
Forgive my ignorance, but I've been trying to do my research regarding this bike model.
I'm purchasing the 2017 model of the XR150 - would this slip-on still work or is it a completely different bike to the 2023 model?

Not sure on that. We only just got this bike last year.

Does anyone know if this would work on a 2024 XR 190L? It’s fuel injected..

Question for Yoshimura: Is there any rejetting required for this modification to the stock XR150?

    • @YoshimuraUSA

Not needed but depending on where you live you might want to rejet

So only a gain of 1/2 hp for a good quality pipe, good information for all those Filipino's that think by make there pipe loud makes a lot more power, in most cases it probable makes less then stock.

    • @agorpb5871
      @agorpb5871 5 месяцев назад +2

1/2 hp is realistic when you are talking about a 12hp engine. 3-5% is what you can expect from a good exhaust and this gives you 5%. Did you want 5hp gain?

@@agorpb5871 No I said it was good information for all those people who think they will get more power then that just by drilling a few holes in their pipe.
