    Sweet valve tool! They do use a little oil. Our 2 bikes use about 4-8 once’s between oil changes. I also think the breather is the problem.

    There is a big design flaw with the XR150. Mine was leaking oil out of the airbox drain tube. It ended up being oil puking up from the crankcase breather because the tube makes a 90 degree right into the airbox. There is a video on RUclips by Torture Test Magazine called "fed up with the xr150" i followed to add a verticle tube with a 90 degree and loop around into airbox. Seems to of helped

      @TimeMachinesATVs intresting eh, maybe theres something else going on none of use know about yet. Mine didnt have alot in the airbox but enough that it dripped a few drops to make me do something about it, didnt really measure the amount of oil that came out but ill start to

      I think a lot depends on how you ride it. He rides the hide off of that thing.

    If you look at the timing gear on the camshaft it has a horizontal line that shows when you are TDC if you line it up with the barrel so you don't even have to remove the plug down below on the crankcase cover. I only had to adjust my intake valve and I was down just a little bit on the oil. I did mine at 597 and at just under 1400 miles now.

      I have a habit of checking both because it can be 180 out and also buying machines that arent running that couldve jumped time.

      @RedBud315 3 месяца назад

      @@TimeMachinesATVs Mine is new so no worry about skipped timing and when at TDC both valves can be moved slightly with my fingers. 180 out won't be like that. I just passed that on because I learned it from another video and it worked like a champ.

    You've been putting in a quart of oil? The owners manual clearly states 1.1 quarts after draining. So, it's hard to tell how much oil it might be losing if it is not quite getting refillied with enough oil after draining. Also, the "Torture Test" channel guy who noticed oil coming out of the breather tube was riding that thing like a full blown mototcross bike. So, I would not be surprised he was slinging oil out of there. Anyhoo....just some thoughts. I really enjoy your channel.

    Time machine would how hot these run burn the oil? I just bought one, I’m at 584 miles and going to be doing my 600 mile oil change and valve inspection this weekend. Just curious, this is my first enduro and now I’m wondering if I f’d up with buying this 150 lol. Seems to stall quite often too, I plan to change my jet after the 600 mile maintenance.

    If it's burning oil, might as well 2 stroke swap it.

  • @lucascady4992
    @lucascady4992 9 месяцев назад +1

    So it's basically a 2 stroke, add 2oz of oil per gallon of fuel?! 😂 I really want one these because of the price, but I'm 6'2" 275Lbs.. My commute is approximately 40miles a day. I could take trails home for some fun?! The oil did look clean?! 😂

    70 ? Sounds like it's slower then the grom 😂 and its supposed to be a 150 vs a 125 .

      Turning bigger wheels makes a difference. Also taller profile with more wind resistance. When I took my Dodge Ram to open drag night years ago I noticed a lot of people swap out their 20 inch wheels for 15's to get better acceleration.

    • @RedBud315
      @RedBud315 3 месяца назад

      P.S. I had a YSR 50 2-stroke pit bike when I race in the 80's that did 65 with a pipe and carb and gearing change. It did 50 stock and that was only 50 cc's. So take that GROM riders.
