Angel Reese is good as advertised. She does all the dirty work inside and outside. She gives you double doubles every chance she gets. She has broken records in the WNBA. What is not talked about is the fan base here in Chicago. Her jersey sold out here in Chicago. She came willing to learn as she said in her press conference here in Chicago. We have a coach that played the game and cheering and directing her players on the court. ESPN had her mic up at series when Sky played Fever. They wanted to keep the mic on her. We have an organization that is committed to winning. This is the difference between the Sky and Fever. That's why we traded up to get her to improve the team. We didn't settle. Angel is working on her game to improve better.

Too many videos to point this out. CC isn't consistent in her game. She said it herself. Angel Reese got and one's way too many times. Now does CC got and one so far? No why not. When defense pressure is on CC she doesn't perform well. When CC played the Vegas Aces she scored 8 points. CC doesn't play defense well enough to stop. Other players have driven past her to the lane or made mid- range shots. As a 2 guard CC doesn't set up the offense constantly.

Again CC has limited her game only to the 3ball. Prove me wrong media said she should be in the Olympics only her not other players. Reese got her gold medal already.

Angel Reese is a Swiss Army knife. She has quick feet, can guard multiple positions, get steals and blocks, opportunistic scorer, will battle for rebounds, if she gets fouled, will make her free throws. While she doesn´t have a perimeter shot, she can work on it. Definitely agree that she landed on a perfect team for her growth.
She is working on that shot..by next year..expect it.
Reese is good on rebounds and getting better everyday. I think she has a good ceiling. She is currently 90th in blocks and 108th rank of FG% in the league. Those two things I will hold her back until they ramp up.

If they played together it would actually be boring to watch…and honestly…Angel isn’t quite the kind of help CC needs…CC needs a dangerous second option that’s also an enforcer….and CC needs so much expansion…she has no post game and isn’t effective mid range and is hardly effective from 3 with a defender on her…she did have 2 of her better games against 2 of the better teams in the league though…she’s just got to figure out how to score on tight defense better and she needs a scary second option…because if she does start pullin up on ppl…they’ll start legitimately double teaming her…and Boston really can provide that for her…but they just play drastically different styles and the coach isn’t just choosing to have CC adapt to Boston’s style…which SHOULD be the case…but there’s too much media so bad decisions are being made.
The offense should be playing into Boston’s style while CC gets acclimated to the new competition.
Clark has that already with Aliyah Boston, last year's rookie of the year. Clark needs to develop her skills, improve on defense and stop turning the ball over too frequently. She is 57th out of 60 starters on defense. That means there are only 3 other starters with worse defense than Clark. She has also broken the WNBA all-time record for turnovers. Clark is a great shooter, but her ball handling skills need to improve as well.

I’m a Reese fan and at this point by the way I’ve seen her and Clark’s teammates, just put Reese and Clark on the same team bc their teammates seem to not wanna win bad enough or something. SMH Clark and Reese actually have a desire to play hard.
I think Chicago is fierce fr…it’s just they’ve been having to adjust weird…Mabrey is extremely inconsistent and she makes bad decision that constantly throws off the momentum…Carter tries too hard to dominate and not hard enough to finesse for a smaller player plus she’s brand new on the roster and very dynamic and problematic…but she seems to be pretty clearly their best guard…especially with a little adjustment.
You could tell that they intended to anchor the game to Cardoso…but Reese is too impactful so they ran Cardoso’s first 2 games attempting to put more emphasis on Cardoso…but it’s not quite working…they’re trying to develop Reese’s midrange game so she can slowly add it to to her package while ppl are paying more attention to Cardoso…but she’s not quite quick enough nor rebound savvy enough to keep a prominent chance of winning with Reese outside of the post…I think they’re trying to make Reese a true guard forward…they keep playing all 3 bigs at the same time but they need their 2 guards that are on the floor with the 3 bigs to make better decisions…Carter is the best passer but it’s impossible to tell if you need to set up for an assist or a board with how she plays…she just needs to make sure that she has better target when she’s collapsing defense…and pass out of traffic enough that the team knows to look for the ball when she’s driving into traffic….the 3 most effective players are just also the 3 newest players so it’s adjusting to literally needing to figure out and implement the best play approaches for the players that are effecting wins most.
Reese is a relentless rebounder and good defensive player. She is not going to be tossing in 30-foot shots, that is not her game. I agree with his point, that Reese is a very good fit for that team.

Great against the sun and the Fever's coach just gave up....... Unbelievable.
I think that Reese has, so far, shone as the best rookie. Getting picked 7th in the draft had lowered expectations on her and she has over delivered. She’s a great fit for her team, a natural leader, is humble enough to seek advice and pay homage to the vets, whilst being sassy enough to bow to no-one on the court.
Her stats are solid but there is a lot of room for improvement.
I think that more and more people are coming around to her side but it really doesn’t need to be a zero sum game. I like both her AND Clark and many others.

Okay now, let's not get carried away with our beer goggles on. Last night's game probably eclipsed any game she played in college. Unless you are the top pick, from there, it all depends on the drafting order and what the next team on the clock really feel they need. Reese is a role player, a dammed good role player. She had a career game tonight. She'll have many more of them, too. But she's not going to ball out like this every night.
It's between her and Caitlin. But she seems more consistent. It's harder for Caitlin because of her usage and her tending to take shots from distance. But Reese is doing what she's supposed to do more consistently than Clark.

I like Reese on court. She’s doing great. 4th double double tonight career high 20 points. Had 10 rebounds . She’s got hustle and grit. I’m a Clark fan 110% over Reese…. But I do think Reese is all star status based on her performance tonight against the sun.

When it comes to the whole “Angel vs Caitlin” drama so many CC diehard fans try to do a “aha, gotcha moment” by bringing up the fact that Caitlin got picked first for the draft and Angel got picked 7th. Meanwhile they fail to realize and once they realize, they then try to deflect from the fact that the first and second draft picks usually go to the worst teams. While Caitlin is a phenomenal athlete, judging by the fact that the Fever has already had apparently 10 losses so far since the season started which wasn’t that long ago, and Chicago Sky only has like 2-3 losses possibly 4…..yeah I feel like Chicago is a better team but that’s just my opinion. Also, when they were both in college I don’t think that many people took into consideration that they played two completely different positions. If Caitlin’s position back in college is a position known in general for scoring more, than obviously even with the abilities she would have more points than Angel or just about anyone in Angel’s position back in college. If people are gonna compare and contrast athletes within the same sport, it would be better if it were athletes who played the same position so their styles of approaching the position could be compared.
Chicago are 4-7 after an easier start than Indiana who are 3-10. Both are in the 4 worst teams in the WNBA

I notice almost every team as a couple zones they run once or twice a game. Just to keep or get the offense off balance. It works pretty well across the entire college game in US. A few teams do run primarily zone and those teams are running and gunning. Just a thought for you. It seems the American women’s coaches have a handful of tendencies they all share.

If you watched Angel Reese college games Angel Reese controlled both sides of the court. Defensively she could affect a whole team and offensively see frustrated a team. With scoring and offensive rebonding and great defensive hands and skill also her heart to win was unmatched. As i said before no way Iowa wins that game if Reese did not get injured. That's her strength she has the Olajuwon affect on both sides of the ball and that's what people ignores.
She's known for her double doubles rebounding and scoring add a few blocks a few steals what do you have an all around player

Angel is a great post player....she plays her position very well. I have always liked her playing skills just wish she could be more earthbound and come down from the pedestal she has placed herself on....I really think I could like her as a person.

No she is not an all star yet, but what i want to point out is most of her lay ups are when she has no one around. then she misses and gets her own rebound so she ends up double double. now if i wanted to make my stats better I am going to hit the the board bounce back to me and make the basket. Most time she has plenty of time to do that.

Good take Mick. Yes she gets some of her own rebounds, but the narrative that most of her offensive rebounds are her own is false. I think she's a good second option right now. I don't know if she's an all star but will more likely be one based on her popularity But Angel should have been taken 4 in my opinion or as high as 2. @@MickTalksHoops a player having their highest scoring night and highest efficiency night on the same night in their rookie year and not halfway through the season should definitely suggest that they’re more of an overall efficient player than the narrative has been here…it shows that these lists are certainly rooted in something that was some sort of objective.
And she increased her efficiency notably in her last game also…while maintaining a double double…this game she increased it all..looked like a 2nd or 3rd option and performed ideally…and still increased a double double while handling the ball a good amount of the time with few turnovers…out of 11 games nearly half have been impactful doubles…and nearly half again on good efficiency…that should say a whole lot
All she was ever saying is promote everybody. She was coming into the league as the highest paid female NIL athlete with the most endorsements and you overlooking her & her 3.5-5 million followers. Reese is a good player, but her demeanour isn’t good. Celebrating after her teammate deliberately fouls a rival just doesn’t sit well with good sportsmanship.
Angel Reese has the potential to be leader. She has the talent to be a major player, but her attitude and bigoted mouth will prevent her from becoming popular with the fans. A loyal fan base is what is necessary to make 😊you famous.

Angel Reese definitely had a better game against Connecticut Sun than Caitlyn Clark did. That's no doubt and by a long shot she was much better. The Sun has a really great team 😮 FACT
They play different position and are asked to complete different tasks. It would be better for both because each has things they are vastly better than the other in. It’s best to compare Reese to other Forwards & Clark to other guards.
Clark was killed by Chennedy Carter in the 1point loss and she was killed by Carrington of the Connecticut Sun. Carter outscored her 19 points to 3. She's a much better ball handler than Clark and very quick and flashy. Carrington is much better than Clark as well. Clark is however a great shooter, especially if left alone. She doesn't hold up too well against tough defense. She will improve with time. I never expected her numbers to remain the same as in college. She's up against much better players with WNBA experience where defense is really tough. Clark's greatest game this far has been against the weakest team in the WNBA. Carter is a much better ball handler, quicker and truly flashy. Carrington's defense overpowered Clark. While Clark is a great shooter like many other WNBA players, her defense and propensity to commit turnovers are overwhelming. She will improve in time. Her offensive numbers are average at 16 points per game and should have never been expected to remain as the college numbers where defensive players aren't as great as they are in the WNBA. She needs to improve her ball handling quickness as well.
Yes, they play different positions and Reese has played her position better than what Clark has played at her position. The comparison was only highlighting overall game performance, not positions played.
