What took me so long to play this? Seriously I've been missing out. First time playing this and I can't believe how good this game looks and feels. The one thing that stands out is the polish and visuals. Amazing. If you enjoy the blind playthrough please subscribe or come back for the rest of the episodes. Full disclaimer, I'm a total noob at this but by the end of the journey I hope to be better than I was gameplay wise here and that's the goal. I promise it gets better and I'd love to share the journey with all of you all.
EDIT: Thank you for letting me share this incredible journey that is God of War with you! I also appreciate all the patience and support allowing me me grow, learn, and get better in this game throughout the episodes. We've come such a long way literally and figurately in this game since this first episode! Looking back it's funny to watch me just spam R2 and say things like "why is Kratos grumpy" LMAO. With all of the GOW games played now, looking forward to Ragnarok. Can't await. Hope to see all of you then 💖
Sarah, not sure you saw my message on the other episode. But I just finished episode 9 and going on to 10 now. I have to say, I can't believe how much better you are now! Before episode 4, I just watched because of your reactions and you're fun to watch, but now that you're getting good at the gameplay, it just adds another dimension. Also I like how you added the other things like the intros and flashbacks that really add a nice touch! Starting with the 3rd or 4th episode, it turned into the best playthrough I've seen for this game and I've seen about 30 or so of this game so far. So keep please keep it up and please finish the game!

I love the way Kratos tries to mentor him. Saying “in the direction of deer” is kratos basically saying “grow up, be a man, and hunt without my help.”
I love how the game is about so many things. And beyond the combat and the action and other stories, at its core it's about a father.
@@SnaxanGaming you didn’t play the other games, but my favorite sub plot is the tragedy of kratos carrying his wife’s ashes around while the ashes of his previous wife and daughter are permanently stuck to his skin. He was tricked into killing them and then forced to wear their ashes as punishment. So now he’s carrying the ashes of both of his wives and it must be horrible for him

1:15:23 I love this small moment. In it you can see kratos, for all the many tragedies, hardships and needless suffering he has gone through, still feels very real pain at the loss of his wife. Holding her ashes in his hand, you can see the momentary loss of control, where his lips briefly part. And then you can see him realize what happened, and forcefully reassert control over his emotional state. This game is amazing.

Oof, The Stranger fight never gets old
He is spartan, so he uses his own upbringing as his guide.
The Stranger Fight is the best scene for a Reaction i have seen many and liked them all including this one, but i keep getting triggered for the way they fight the Stranger... xD They either Spam the R2 Button, dont take advantage of the destructible Trees, not fighting the Stranger with bare hands and hesitate to attack... idk why but that triggeres me alot and i have seen many play like that... but i still watch and enjoy because i wanna see their reaction of this Incredible Game, and im not disappointed.
Yea. I think most of us have probably seen the same reactions. Its annoying. GOW is an aggressive game, and thats how you're supposed to play it.

There are loading screens, its just hidden very well. Travelling between realms will make you stay in the Yggdrasil tree for a while until a door pops up, thats the game loading. They hide it by making you move around and making either Atreus and Mimir tell a story to pass time.
@@Waluigi-qp3vm well I guess it isnt considered a loading screen, but it is definitely a clever way make waiting for things to load more fun and interesting to wherever you are going.

It starts a little iffy with this first episode but this play through becomes the best playthrough I've ever seen for this game a by about part 4 in terms of entertainment, reaction, and quality. I've seen dozens.

All the previous God of War games started with throwing you right into a boss fight. This one is a departure from that tradition.
I absolutely love the pacing of the Stranger encounter, the fight itself is great but the fact that it comes right on the heels of another boss fight when you're expecting a breather makes it hit even harder
Lol early in this video she says "what the fudge?". As soon as the fighting starts that fudge turns quickly into a "what the fuck?!"

PS: Change the difficulty to Balanced and change video setting to Favor Frame rates to have smoother gameplay. Also, read the journal of Atreus to know more about the lore of the game if you are into that
You should play old God of war games they are all masterpiece.
This Game Should be Taught on How to Do a Reboot along with 2013 Tomb Raider even Though it’s the Superior Game. Need to Play another new game plus for Kicks and giggles. This Game is so Beautiful and One of the Best Ever Made of All Time! I don’t Know if I’d put it in My Top 5 but Easily in My Personal Top Ten!
I would choose lightning as my elemental power because it makes you look cool and it has a crap ton of uses.

Cool playthrough. I highly recommend you change the difficulty try to combo instead of just spamming R2 lol. Makes combos more effective and a better experience to watch haha. Keep it up, you’ll get use to the controls!

Also, The Stranger is acted and voiced by Jeremy Davies and let me tell you, the best voice actor in the game. I liked his acting more than Christopher Judge.

This was the first GOW game I played, this time last year when I got my PS5. Never played before as It didn’t look like a game I’d like. My cousin kept telling me to try it so when it was free with PS+ collection I gave it a try. To my surprise it turned out to be one of my all time favourite games, I got the Platinum trophy (I never usually bother with trophies) and then replayed it again a month later 😍💪

The stranger boss fight is the best boss fight ever. Some developers create videogames, but only a few can create art. Good job to Sony for letting developers create the games that they want.

Haven't finished this game yet. But it is pretty amazinh and brings a lot of adrenaline rush. Wait til you encounter the valkyries they're very tough but it is very rewarding once you beat one. Love your reactions by the way. Keep on streaming.
You could have waited for the right time to parry their attacks. If u did they would stunned. Then throw the axe at one of them and hit the other with melee. If a third attached comes parry at the right time, recall the axe and give a heavy attack followed by light attacks

The only game Franchise that I respect for the sole reason that it hasn't deviated from its main course. It has been all about the title. Unlike many other mighty franchises like Assassin's Creed for exampe.

You'll have to play the others to get the full story. Basically Kratos is the demi god son of Zeus with a mortal named Callisto. There was a prophecy that a marked man would bring the destruction of the gods of Olympus. Ares and Athena raided Sparta and captured Deimos the brother of Kratos and send him to the underworld to be eternally tormented by the god of death Thanatos.. But they got the wrong one. The one who the prophecy mentioned was actually Kratos. He was the youngest and most successful spartan general. Then one day against the Barbarians his army got slaughtered and he was minutes away from death. In this moment of weakness Kratos called for the God of War Ares who happenes to also be his half brother to save him and destroy his enemies and if he does so his life belongs to Ares. Ares did so and now Kratos became the champion of Ares. But no mere sword and shield would befit the champion of the god of war so Ares gave Kratos the Blades of Chaos, forged by the god of blacksmiths Hephaestus in the deepest and foulest depths of Hades. The blades would be seared in the flesh of the bearer up to the bone as a reminder of the oath the bearer made with the God of War. As the champion of Ares Kratos was ordered to destroy city after city that wasn't revering him as he coveted all of Olympus and the throne of Zeus himself. To ensure that the Spartan became the perfect warrior and was bound to his will, Ares and the Furies devised three blood tests for Kratos. The first had already been completed: spilling the blood of enemies. The second, spilling the blood of innocents, was easy to accomplish with Kratos' rising bloodlust as he ended countless lives with his Spartan companions, and conquered most of Greece. The last rite was spilling the blood of loved ones. Ares led Kratos to attack a village built in honor and worship of Athena. The Spartan soldiers ruthlessly killed all who lived in the village and burned their homes to the ground in the process. Upon reaching a strange temple, Kratos was warned by the Village Oracle not to venture within its walls. Ignoring the old woman, Kratos, blinded by bloodthirst, killed all who were within the walls of the temple, including his wife, Lysandra, and his daughter, Calliope. Ares appeared before the bloodstained hands of Kratos and told him that it was necessary to have his family eliminated so that nothing stood in his way.
The ashes of Kratos' loved ones were gathered by the Village Oracle who then placed them upon his skin as a permanent reminder of the monster he had become: the Ghost of Sparta. And he was also cursed to wander the earth forever.
After the events of gow 1 Kratos becomes the champion of the gods for 10 years being promised to be forgiven of his past deeds. But what he truly wants is to be ridden of his nightmares of killing his family wich the gods do not grant him. In Gow3 Kratos basically slaughtered the entire Greek pantheon in revenge for being betrayed by Zeus and the gods not fully fuffiling their end of the bargain. But each God controls a different aspect of the world and with their death that aspect is destroyed. Helio's death makes the sun dissappear, Poseidon's death creates floods that kill countless and turn the waters into sea water etc. Basically Kratos wrecked Greece quite badly and made life a living hell for the survivers. At the end of the game he stabs himself with the blade of olympus and releases the power of hope to humanity.
GOW 4 is Krato's path to redemption and being finally at peace with his past. There's a reason he's so harsh with Atreus. He doesn't want Atreus to became the animal and monster he was and he's still traumatised about his past not being able to comunicate emotions too well.
Kratos is not a demigod anymore, he became god of war after he killed ares and then zeus betrayed him and took his powers, after kratos came back from the underworld he went on a journey to change his fate and then he killed the sisters of fate to go back to the moment zeus killed him. after that he and the titans attacked Olympus and that when kratos goes commando killing all of Olympus gods

baby girl you hate when kratos said to atreus "dont be sorry. be better" were the most of GOW fans love it. I understand that you seems hate it because you are not familiar on kratos attitude before but if you play GOW series before and you heard that lines for the 1st tme I'm sure you will like it because it shows that kratos become kinda soft and not totally rude as he was.
Have you played Tomb raider 2013, Rise of Tomb Raider and Shadow of Tomb Raider ? - these were released consecutively.
So the backstory of Kratos is he was a Spartan general and he had a daughter and a wife so Kratos when to Aries Temple to go worship him and make him a promise So he can win all of aries wars for him and to make him stronger so Aries did make him that wish but it came at a price Aries tricked Kratos into killing his family in the skin on him that's the ashes of his daughter and wife it went into his skin so he vowed to hunt down Aries and kill him so he did and he became the God of War and he hunted down all the Greek gods and killed them all
That's like only 20% of his backstory, but I mean good enough 😂

story difficulty meant easy, balanced one was normal combat experience, challenged setting was hard and god of war was nightmare. There's this slight difference of enemy health between hard and nightmare but damage taken from enemies are almost same (most enemies will kill Kratos in 2 or 3 hits).
Btw its ur 1st playthrough but ur gamer institution is really good for a first timer coz most 1st timer dont know how to catch that slomo shield which is called parry and its really important in playing the game coz if u wont learn how to parry later part in the game u will suffer most of the time
