Just in case anyone is curious. You can double the dough to make a bigger sandwich bun ( not sure what to call these, lol). Instead of putting ham, cheese and mayo I made them into pizza pockets. I've done this twice cutting the dough into 10 pieces but today I decided to cut 8 reg then leave the other 2 as 1. It worked. I didn't have to change the baking time or temp. Just had 1/2 of that pizza pocket. It's huge. And yes, it tasted better than those you buy in the store. Hope this helps any of you fellow bakers... 😋

I just make this. OMG. Its soft and mellow. I cant wait to try it tomorrow and have my family try it. I double the ingredients and did 2 small peanut butter twist bread also. Definitely a winner.

Just got done making these. Instead of using ham and cheese I used pepperoni, cheese and a little bit of pizza sauce that I had to doctor up (NO store bought pizza or spaghetti sauce taste good right out of the jar/can imo). I also made a butter spread to put on them once they came out of the oven using some garlic powder, Italian seasoning and parmesan cheese. Omgee, these are better than store bought pizza pockets!! I was able to fit 5 pieces of pepperoni, a slice of cheese and about just under a tsp of my sauce into the dough. The only downside? The cheese did melt out of most of the buns. Next time I'm just going to use half a slice. Think I'll also add some salami, 😋. These are the perfect size too. They're just a tad smaller than the pizza pockets from the store. Thanks so much for this recipe Savor. As well as to the commentor who recommended using pepperoni, etc.... 🙏👍🏻
