- Hi friend! It's Sunday again and I want to tidy up my home before the new week begins. I have some bad habits of letting the dishes pile up and leaving clothes and random clutter around the apartment.
I definitely feel the pressure of always maintaining "a perfect Instagram home" but that's just not realistic for me. Is it really for anyone? Anyway, I hope you like this little video of me tidying up the place and maybe find it motivating in the eternal battle against mess. :)

Even though you say you don't have a cleaning routine, the best part of this video is that your apartment is not dirty as if there were 10 monsters living in there, but just a normal mess that piles up and requires a bit of time to put back together. Very realistic and calming. Thank you for posting!

I just bought a hot water bottle for my husband because I don't like sharing mine. 🤣 It's cold now in Canada too. We've got snow, which I'm not thrilled about. I dug out the flannel sheets and put them on the bed today. Thank you for posting.

I think we all do this to a certain extent. I certainly like to have a weekly "Re-Set" of my home so that I feel ready to face the demands of a new week with a clean slate, so to speak! Thank you for another lovely video. There is something peaceful and meditative in the watching and observing of these simple domestic tasks that yield such satisfying results!

1/2 hour every evening cleaning and never a mess for the weekend. Daily is the secret. Put everything away each day.
That does indeed sound like the perfect routine! 😊
That really is the secret to not making yourself crazy. Even at my busiest - working full time, taking care of a family and a home - I always straightened out before going to bed each nite. The weekends never seemed that bad when it came to housework. I would rather spend half an hour each nite, than four hours on a Saturday.
Yes you are so right, everyday check of laundry and dish to clean, dry, fold put away, for me with a kid it's one machine every 2 days, then the next day fold and put away, one dishwasher every 2 days, then everyday 1/2 hour of cleaning but in the morning with a routine : monday bathroom, tuesday living room, wednesday toilets, thursday kitchen, friday my desk and papers... satrusday or sunday I do an extra thing like clean the floor... also I have a vacuum robot that does the floor for me from time to time ! An other secret is : try to tidy clean after the tasks as part of the task itself and also : never go out of a room / place not carrying away what belongs to another room, for that when I do a room I put next to the door the items that belongs to another place... simple things and a OK home everyday and no overdoing myself anyday.

I use a laundry detergent from a Finnish brand called Lumme. :)

I like the content. The soft music was nice and I don't mind having to read subtitles rather than the video creator talking. However, white text on a white or off white background is difficult to read. I would suggest using a darker color.
Maybe some do that better than you, but I didn't meet them though.
