- Hi friend! It's Saturday and I have a lovely day planned. I'm getting bakery treats for breakfast and hanging fairy lights on my balcony. Meeting my sister and friend in town for a movie and dinner, and organizing my bookshelf.
I've been super busy the past two weeks with lots of social events and a heavy load of work. I've been looking forward to this Saturday for days, because I knew it was going to be a fun and chill one. And that it was. I hope you enjoy watching. :)
The light time of the day is getting shorter by 5 minutes every day now. It's time to get cozy, slow down, and rest, but also to do activities that spark joy in your heart and lift your spirits. Take care of yourself, wherever you are in the world.

I think this is the life that many women long for and that they can relate to - the calm, peace, simple days and joys, beauty, seasonality, quiet, selected companionship. we all remember these days before the kids, husband, career trajectories, elder care. Many people live like Emma but the media urges us to want more, recreate more, do more, procreate more - I’m so glad RUclips exists because it shows a counter cultural way that people can enjoy their life and live a wonderful life. Hope we can all Enjoy where we are wherever we are.
A person's bookshelf in many ways reflects a person's heart and soul. Personal books illustrate what a person cares enough about to spend money purchasing, to spend energy reading, and to provide valuable real estate as a type of home decor. The twinkle/fairy lights look lovely💚💚. Your English is impeccable!

@@EmmiLa And these types of vlogs inspire people to do home cooking/clean/self care/learn something new as opposed to materialistic jet setting vlogs which were really big before covid (that can make viewers compare themselves to the vloggers).

OMG, you read Atomic Habits! That book keeps getting recommended to me and there it is again. Seriously, I should just break down and read it. I also loved the Dune series. I read it years ago and enjoyed the entire series. I love incense. My favorite is Nag Champa. Thank you for another lovely video. I am enjoying your channel very much.

I love your videos I love the atmosphere in your apartment I also live alone in a 1 bedroom apartment in Sydney Australia is very cute and cozy and I love to decorate it I also love books and soothing music and inciense and as I was watching your video it reminded me I have to buy inciense today and take care of my plants they are looking a little sad lately. I admire educated women and girls. Unfortunately most videos show women with wardrobes full of clothes, shoes and bags. Really who believes that having so many shoes will make you happier? Education is the the most precious gift.
I agree, education is very important and I’m so thankful I have been able to study and get a university degree. Beautiful things can bring us joy but we humans need more to be truly content with life!

I’m so pleased I found your channel. Your flat is perfect. I loved the lights and the plants. Since my husband died I too live alone. I find it very lonely. Are you lonely. ? I studied Literature too. I still have a bookcase filled with my childhood books even though I am 79. 🥰
I’m sorry to hear about your husband. I don’t tend to feel very lonely, I don’t mind being on my own. Of course sometimes I have bad days too, but I have friends and family to reach out to when being alone doesn’t feel good. I think that’s important, to have a network and community even if you live alone. We humans need other humans. ☺️
I randomly stumbled upon your channel and after seeing only one video, I subscribed. There is definitely something soothing yet artistic about your videos. I think that you should continue as you have potentiel to attract more viewers as you develop your creativity although you already have a style. Perhaps you should do a video about knitting, knitting a jumper … anyway, good luck, wishing you all the best!

It is an another nice video about this beautiful city and living there. But you will be surprised in May, because no nights at all, and you won't use any lights even at 10pm, cool, isn't it? Although you are being a vegetarian, could you show what a meat selection you can get in a supermarket, and if any grass fed meat there is? Your vinyl collection is amazing, even if you can't listen to it now. I bet you like to go on concerts of classical music, or watching a ballet.

What lovely vlogs, love the aesthetics and content! If it's not too private (I also have a degree in English as a foreign language and I'm wondering about additional job possibilities) --- what is your profession, is it something related to your degree or not really?
Thank you! I work with translations in the financial sector. :) I have worked in the translation field for a long time, not as a translator but as a project manager. My current job is a similar position but solely concentrated on financial translations.
@@EmmiLa Thank you very much for the explanation. So that's why your English is so perfect! ;) Sounds like an interesting job. I'd assume it's quite demanding but not too stressful. I've gone into teaching but I'm starting to realise I'd prefer a more "peaceful" job. :) Glad to hear translation is a viable option, also without having to be self-employed.
