Sorry for the wait! This one took a lot longer than anticipated and Elden Ring releasing didn't exactly help productivity either...
The dense arrangement of the original piece can make it difficult to hear precisely what each voice/instrument is doing at times; thus my transcription relies heavily on guesswork and personal arrangement decisions.
Regardless, I'm fairly pleased with the end result and hope it does the original justice.

Elden Ring's main theme is utterly fantastic, but DS3's is on a totally different level.
I wonder if we'll ever get a Fromsoft game like DS3 ever again. That mix of an utterly and totally destitute and decrepit world juxtaposed with this style of epic, heroic, yet corrupted cathedral music.
Elden ring is a new style of theme for Fromsoft, one of great ambition. Dark souls 3 is the culmination of their main series, its going to hit that much harder. Give them time and they'll do it again.

Okay but how HYPE do you think people were in the alternate universe where Elden Ring has DS3's theme?
I love how melancholic the DS3 soundtrack is compared to Elden Ring's OST
gotta be a contrarian and say I prefer ER's aesthetics. to each their own! This track however is a masterpiece, I don't think there's a close one in Elden Ring OST.

There was a lot of editing involved to get the legato transitions how I wanted, but the results are worth it!
@@timothyjamesrichards editing and excellent midi programming is always important in the use of a sample library ( whatever it is ), and it is what makes the difference between professional use and amateur use.
@@StefanoMaccarelli Absolutely! For example, all of the orchestral tools brass in this video was bounced to audio and edited for timing/tightness. Doesn't mean they're not fantastic samples to begin with!

This is breathtaking on another level, i'm literally getting goosebumps all over my body while listening to this. I love how you can make out each instrument more clearly while not losing the original feeling. The drop at 1:32 is also executed so perfectly and is even more emphasized than in the original.

I always thought the original version was just a bit too harsh with certain instruments and parts over accentuated, but this is just perfection. Really I am always so impressed by your interpretations! They should hire you, lol. If you ever get the chance to do Epilogue from DS3, that would be amazing. Based on what you've posted I feel like you could add something even more incredible to that piece, my personal favorite from DS3. The 2nd version of the song they released with the DLC was a big improvement, you could do V3 :)
