    U gotta consider the fact that the Vikings are in basically a soft rebuild mode. They have many good young pieces and just need a QB which they are clearly aiming to draft. They’re not gonna win for the next couple of years and the players they signed should be good for the next 3+ years (Blake cashman and Greenard are two relatively young players on lengthy deals). Also for the loss of kirk and Hunter, Kirk wanted a long term deal which doesn’t align with the Vikings timeline and Hunter will be 30 next season and will probably regress soon. I think for what they’re going for they did a good job I would put them A tier (as long as they are able to draft one of the R1 QBs in this class)

    • @eliyarrows2456
      @eliyarrows2456 9 месяцев назад

      I totally agree. When you have the 2nd overall pick and you’re eyeing a qb, you shouldn’t be worried about signing young guys in free agency. Especially if you can get a good defense.
      Relying on a rookie to score 30ppg is unrealistic, but if you have a defense that holds teams under 25 and generates turnovers, then you can rely on a rookie to win you some games.
      As a pats fan I’m stunned we got an A. Sure we resigned guys and our defense should be very good next year, but we had one of the worst offenses in the league in almost every facet and added nearly nobody to it. WE’RE THE TEAM WHO NEEDS TO ADD SOME YOUTH TO OUR OFFENSE THROUGH FREE AGENCY 😂 y’all got Scary Terry, we have Kendrick Bourne 😂

  • @josephg3462
    @josephg3462 9 месяцев назад +7

    My guess for the Commanders is that they're in 'Build Up' mode. They want to find some guys over the next couple of years and build the team around them, but they need some senior leadership to help coach them. They traded some good talent last season to get more picks in the draft, so I'm interested in seeing who they pick up specifically.

    • @eliyarrows2456
      @eliyarrows2456 9 месяцев назад

      If they’re drafting a qb at 2 and already have a star WR, getting some key pieces on defense is great. Take the pressure off the offense if you’re gonna rely on a rookie to run it, if you have some weapons for him then you should invest in a defense that can cause turnovers and get stops so you take some of the pressure off the offense.
      My pats made the playoffs with rookie mac jones. Did we have a good offense? Did Mac play great? No. We had one of the best defenses in the league at both getting turnovers and turning them into points. Then the defense got banged up and they got destroyed in the playoffs because they had to rely on the offense to score points.

    as a panther fan i’m going to respectfully ignore your opinion. We were never going to get a first round pick for Brian Burns because no team was willing to pay him 30 million dollars a year and give up a first round pick. Brian Burns wanted 150 million dollars he is now the second highest paid edge rusher only under nick bosa. He is bad against the run and isn’t double teamed often. It’s easy to feel like he wasn’t making an impact on every play and it felt like he took plays off. He is arguably not even a top 10 edge rusher. The panthers signed two very good offensive lineman Bryce Young was sacked 75 times. Luvu is a tough loss but Josey Jewell does the exact same thing as Luvu. I liked the diontae johnson trade and donte jackson sucks we were going to cut him. I also like the signing of Jordan Fuller and A’shawn Robinson, David Moore. This team is way better than before I also like DJ wonnum and if we get a stephon gilmore and draft a edge rusher like a chop robinson or adisa issaic this team is pretty good and just needs a receiver in the draft and a corner. IMO the Bills actually had a much better free agency than most people are making it out to be. They lost the 2 safeties but also signed taylor rap and Mike edwards (two young safeties) & replaced Gabe Davis (Curtis Samuel). They got rid of older players, got younger, and less in debt to cap space (for now and the future). They also brought in the GOAT Will Clapp to replace Mitch Morse and two younger defensive ends to replace Leonard Floyd. Now of course this is completely unbiased and there is still a lot to happen before the season starts (Draft because they have 11 picks which is tied for the highest in the nfl).

      Bro fr. “They did great at resigning all their guys” yeah, those guys are great, but because of everyone else we won 4 games last year 😂
      Maybe addressing a bottom 3 O Line, WR core, and QB room in the league with more than your former 3rd string QB and an O Lineman who probably will only play in jumbo sets shouldnt be the goal of free agency.
      If you’re lucky, you can solve 1-1.5 of those things in one single draft, and even then relying on rookies to make significant changes to your team’s output.
      Especially considering where we are in the draft. (Hopefully we don’t trade back) we’re gonna get the 3rd best QB in the draft, the 5th-10th best wr and the 10th-12th best offensive lineman if we don’t make any moves. The odds of any of those guys being a real player their rookie year is low.

    That C for the Vikings is ludicrous. Davenport might as well been a fart in the wind last year. We lost literally nothing. They got younger, more versatile on defense, didn't overpay for a QB that is getting old and coming off an Achilles tear....AND set themselves up to draft the QB of the future. All while STEALING Aaron Jones from the Pack. That is an A minimum FA in my opinion....plus where is the Shaq Griffin signing? He also adds depth at a much needed position.

    I disagree with 9ers at C tier, we lacked a lot of depth last year and it showed greatly so we heavily signed a lot of depth pieces to give us a better (or rather more well rounded team) that can do the "next man up" mentality without losing too much from starter to back-up which costed us greatly in the SB when Dre went down and his back up got torched 9/9 100+ yards and a TD on Kelce after having him be a non-factor up until that point. I will say props for respecting Armstead, a lot of people don't realize just how good he is and it's honestly a shame that he suffers from PF or else I think we would have found a way to keep him but his availability and even career is in jeopardy as that is an injury that never heals.

    Imo the niners FA should be a B.
    Armstead is injury prone and aging. They never could’ve gotten Chase Young back, who never played 100% due to injuries that were not addressed. They signed Devondre Campbell to fill in the void with Greenlaw injury and got Leonard Floyd. They also got Yiadom who can back up Ward and Lenoir, and Joshua Dobbs is a miles better backup than Darnold and can come in a pinch if Purdy got hurt. They also got another year from Jennings who was huge throughout the playoffs
    Overall they’re retaining their offensive playmakers and made solid moves on defense while waiting for Greenlaw and Hufanga to recover. The only issue is that they never took any o linemen, but they usually never come from free agency
