      @@TheScottAF more or less penalties doesn't matter when the Lions hold and interfere on every play. And that was a nice no call on the safety, he hit the lineman, so an obvious penalty. The def holding makes a huge difference when you blitz every play. How does a 4th string CB compete with WRs? Hold, he isn't just the next Revis.

    • @TheScottAF
      @TheScottAF 15 дней назад +1

      @@kbooger20 how about all the delay of game penalties Vikings consistently got away with? Conveniently on plays where big gains followed? Or how about Darnold air mailing a ball 30 yards north of any receiver and not getting intentional grounding? Point is, calls get missed all the time on both sides. Vikings didn't have it Sunday night... and you also played a team missing 15+ players and still got smacked. No amount of bitching about the refs changes that. Vikes are still a great team and have a lot to look forward to in the playoffs.

    • @billyidol2115
      @billyidol2115 16 дней назад +3

      Yeah you could tell Donald has never even played in a playoff game yet. He's never started one. This was basically like a playoff game because you get to really really improve your chances if you win last night. And you could tell he was like a deer in the headlights. The Detroit crowd obviously caused problems on the line of scrimmage, and there was a couple of really big time pass rushes that caused him to throw balls he didn't want to and when you throw too early you're usually jacked and you throw them a little too high because he's probably been coached to not throw any interceptions. But the Detroit defense definitely was jacked up with the return of their best linebacker from that broken arm. So, actually Minnesota will have a much better chance on the road against la. And like Coach Campbell said to your coach right after the game in the handshake, he said "we'll see you right back here in a couple weeks".
      And he's probably right. I know Campbell and that defense would much rather go against Donald again than Matt stafford. Stafford seems to give Detroit more problems

      I remember those days with the blacked out games. Back before cable tv. So you had to go somewhere where you could pick up a TV network that was deemed outside the 60 Mi radius or whatever it was.
      Now I see that the NFL has allowed just the prime Network to show the Saturday night Steelers at Ravens game? What a travesty that the NFL won't allow millions of fans to watch the Steelers at the Ravens playoff game on a Saturday night because they're trying to make money off of the Prime streaming Channel? I'm just sick of it. All of these games should be on regular Network television beard it's not like the NFL doesn't have enough billion dollars in their revenues from television contracts. But they want to have a playoff game exclusively on a streaming network? Did you ever think you would see such ridiculous stuff I never did and I'm 64 years old and it's getting to be a real problem. The credit formula of this turnaround in the Motor City should be given to Owner Sheila Ford Hamp. What a immaculate job she done turning this franchise around through the ground up allowing her mom giving her the keys to success. GM Brad Holmes should be Executive of the Year, Chris Spielman, for what he went through losing his wife to cancer and being very supportive of the team he cherish, should deserve props, OC Ben Johnson and DC Aaron Glenn should get head coaching opportunities. Jared Goff who been to the Superbowl before but needs a tweaking and now he's a high octane QB and finally the mastermind of all HCs, Gambling Dan Campbell who's unapologetic that takes no prisoners in order for this team to grow and shine, definitely should be Coach of the Year. The road 🛣️ to the Superbowl goes to the Motor City 🏙️. Good luck contenders because these are not your same old Lions. This team is on a mission and it will be Lions vs. Chiefs in Superbowl 59 at the big easy in New Orleans.

    I'm not a partisan fan of either team, so going into it, I thought that it would be a close game. But Darnold choked, while Lions completely dominated the second half. The Vikings had a great season, but that game showed that they're not ready for the big show. The Lions, on the other hand, made a huge statement. They deserve to be the top team in the NFC. And wit the bye, they'll be really, really hard to defeat at home in the playoffs.
