Again, the experts projected the Vikings at 6.5 wins. They have wildly exceeded expectations. Yesterday, they had a mediocre day from their QB when they need him to be on. No matter how this season ends, the future looks bright for the team. Detroit is exactly where everyone thought they would be.
Yeah there is no panic. They defied oddsmakers and were one game away from getting the one seed. But there is no way the Vikings would trade McCarthy. None at all
It's laughable that people thought the Vikings should be at 6 wins when Kirk took this team to double digits and not a single person thought Kirk was great. He's good, not great. You have one of the most talented WR core in the NFL... it's a joke if you think this team is over performing.
Let's be honest... They weren't winning that game BECAUSE of Darnold. It's easy to say they weren't ever going to win AFTER they get embarrassed. It was at least concerning. If they lose to the Rams, there will be real concern and it will affect Sam's off season.
It’s the system, it’s the coach making these guys look like studs at QB. But pressure, disrupt all planning. Sort of like when Mike Tyson said everyone has a plan until they get hit.
How does one "choke" in a Regular season?? Stop buying into the NFL Marketing, they hyped this game like crazy But it still was a regular season game in which both teams had already made the playoffs. Next week, the games that Matter begin.
@@Eddie-ol9cv Detroit has been viewed as best team in the NFC all season long - they were the pre-season favorite to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl. The Vikings are not going to see better teams in the playoffs. Not to mention, the Lions beat the Vikings in a walk off FG in their 1st meeting. They were within One Score of the Lions until the 4th Qtr last night. I see last night's game as a positive. KOC did not anticipate that a team would play Cover 0 and play his WR corp in man coverage to try to take away their deep passing attack. Now, he can prepare a game plan to counter that Before the playoffs begin.
I cannot foretell the future so I don't know how the Lions will do in the playoffs. But I do know that my late father-in-law was able to see Spain win the FIFA World Cup back in 2010. I've lived in Spain since 1971, but before that I was in Detroit for three years. That's where I look back to when I think of my childhood in the States. Only once did I watch the Lions playing live, at Tiger Stadium. It was early in the 1970 season and we lost to the Bengals. Who knows? Maybe my Lions can pull it off this year. The defense against the Vikings was huge, in spite of all the injuries. It would be funny if three NFC North teams made it to the divisional round. As I said, I cannot foretell the future. In the other conference, we could even see three AFC West teams in the divisional round.
You need that from a coach if it's honest and authentic and if it's not just yelling and screaming. Campbell really loves and respects these guys and let's them know it. He's not the typical "alpha" coach, beating guys down and yelling about "my way or the highway". It's all about preparing his men and putting them in a position to succeed, the way all leadership should be and very rarely is in sports.
I agree but I think it’s why he empathizes the emotional maturity and devotion that exudes from DC. That way the incels and red pill douches can’t wedge their way into the definition of the lions
100% and O'Connell never adjusted the play calling. should have worked on quick passes, get the ball out, etc. Also, how about run the ball 3 times when you have 2nd and goal at the 2!!!

It’s what the Lions do. Go back and listen to the entire introductory press conference and they are living up to it on a weekly and yearly basis.
What? It might best thing a coach has ever said, I hope it never gets old
Purdy played better against the Lions defense 😂😂😂😂. Take that
I'M A LIFE LONG BEARS FAN AND I'M DEFINITELY ROOTING FOR THE LIONS!!🦁👍😃
Again, the experts projected the Vikings at 6.5 wins. They have wildly exceeded expectations. Yesterday, they had a mediocre day from their QB when they need him to be on. No matter how this season ends, the future looks bright for the team. Detroit is exactly where everyone thought they would be.
Darnold who we thought he was
Yeah there is no panic.
@platoniczombie Vegas projected that.......
Right on Colin..!
That is a once in a lifetime game. Both teams 14-2 fighting for the NFC number 1 seed. Bigger than a playoff game in the NFC north.
Colin, Glad to hear you finally give MCDC his due 😊
Great take!
Let's be honest... They weren't winning that game BECAUSE of Darnold. It's easy to say they weren't ever going to win AFTER they get embarrassed. It was at least concerning. If they lose to the Rams, there will be real concern and it will affect Sam's off season.
Give Uncle Colin his due for being classy and not being splashed by the news. Respect.
Wow he's actually giving it up for us! Crazy
Newfound respect for Colin, he’s not involved in that FS1 mess. Him and FTF are what FS1 should focus on.
My favorite coach and team! Go Lions!
SO MUCH FOR THE GREAT SAM DARNOLD CHOKING JUST WHEN HIS TEAM NEEDED HIM MOST!!!🥵
It’s the system, it’s the coach making these guys look like studs at QB.
@ehansbrough593 because the teams they're about to face in the playoffs the father they advance the better the teams will get...
Rams getting their lick back in that division round with lions 🔥🔥🤫
Yea Rams are tough and Minnesota is suddenly more vulnerable plus Rams already beat them tough first meeting in playoffs
Happy Birthday Colin, my Capricorn brethren 🐐
I thought Colin said the Lions were done just before the 49er game. Own up
Love you Colin
I know all about Detroit, I saw Robocop I and II... and Gil Hill in Beverly Hills Cop I and II.
Colin is the GOAT
You need that from a coach if it's honest and authentic and if it's not just yelling and screaming. Campbell really loves and respects these guys and let's them know it. He's not the typical "alpha" coach, beating guys down and yelling about "my way or the highway". It's all about preparing his men and putting them in a position to succeed, the way all leadership should be and very rarely is in sports.
#1 seed with 12 defensive players on the IR is utterly mind-blowing
His Alpha definition includes being respectful of his opponents and to others. That is not what most "alpha males" think like.
I agree but I think it’s why he empathizes the emotional maturity and devotion that exudes from DC. That way the incels and red pill douches can’t wedge their way into the definition of the lions
Dan Campbell -->is
So Purdy had a 131.5 rating his first playoff game but he sucks. Yeah totally makes sense
Make no mistake, that was a playoff game in all but name.
Super Bowl 59. Lions vs Chiefs, Chiefs Three-Peat.
They could have called pass interference on every play against the Lions.
The Lions shook Darnold early. First they locked down his receivers, then they hit him over and over again.
100% and O'Connell never adjusted the play calling. should have worked on quick passes, get the ball out, etc. Also, how about run the ball 3 times when you have 2nd and goal at the 2!!!
Purdy had no issue nearly winning the Super Bowl in his 2nd year….Darnold in year 7 with far more talent vomits all over himself….got it.
Head coach-good take-he has them playing at such a high level it’s unreal
The real sam came out
Colin “Mr. Make Eexcuses” for guys I like
Darnold had a bad case of Jimmy Legs.
Yeah Colin you picked Minnesota. But we’ll just pretend that didn’t happen. Like 90% of your other predictions that’s are wrong lol
He's making script for Draft kings and fan duel
News flash, Sam Darnold is still viewed as a bust
Let’s go Lions
The lions gonna have a good run for the future imma say a 5 years run easily
Wasn't he ducking darnold off last week I can't even keep up with the flip flopping
Rams bouncing them boys out
You really think so?
everyone was talking about how crazy it was for McVay to not expose his team to injury in week 18 to avoid the Lions/Vikings loser
i was sitting there last night thinking "yeah the Rams can definitely take em next week" ..... Minny looked soft
Yeah man. There was just something off about them, even with all the wins. I wouldn’t call them frauds, but definitely not who the media thought they are.
@@MrHunterbgVikings are frauds. They had an easy schedule this year and most of their wins came up against bad or subpar teams and they struggled to beat teams like the Jags, Seattle, and especially the Cardinals. They barely beat GB by 2.
Yeah probably not, keep hoping
@@JuwanBuchananI think ‘frauds’ depends on what people are claiming they are…they are better than the 5 seed in the other conference, not better than Detroit. They would have been a pretty ‘fraudulent’ 1 seed, but a wild card team that could give teams fits but probably can’t make the Super Bowl feels about right for how the team has played
As a Seahawks fan I really hope the Lions win the Super Bowl. Sadly, I don’t think they have the depth on defense to make it.
I remember when Colin made fun of DC, the hiring by the Lions and multiple press conferences DC made.
All the defensive players on IR and the Lions looked like the best defense in the league last night. They completely controlled the game. Darnold was missing for a reason.
We’re not “Bailing on Sammy”. We were never on board with him. Hope Colin understands now why he has been mocked and ridiculed but he doesn’t because that’s what narcissists do.
