Great review first look, as far as i can remember the flip portion on the fence should flip over the other way towards the blade to enable the blade guard to stay in place, and dewalt nailed it with the fence system im sure you will enjoy your new saw.
It got two notches. The bottom notch is for support like he showed in the video and the other is to use as a small fence that go under the bladeguard like you say
thanks for the anti-kickback pawls notice. i was looking for mine and thought they forgot to include it because on the website it says it's included in the box
@@m3scalin3 I'm not sure...on viewing a recent video...it looked like the pawls sit behind the riving knife allocated slot ,,,maybe by upgrading the riving knife an after market pawl will fit ??
@@wallytrinc9885 yeah sure, first the yellow cover for the saw was crooked and floppy, the fence is not in 90 degrees with the table (this is not possible to adjust) the table top is not dead flat and when I fix the blade to be 90 degrees on the left side it is not 90 on the square on the right side… I’m a bit disappointed coz its not a cheap saw and I was expecting it to be solid. Anyway enjoy yours and always be careful 🙂
@@leonardokalinci9894 There are many issues you have found ! if you still have your purchase receipt is it still possible for exchange/refund ? .... Regards Wally
@@wallytrinc9885 I bought it 3 years ago and it has been sent it many time to be repaired but every time I discovered new flaw. I think I just got unlucky with mine( sometimes I wish I bought a different company) Best regards 👍🏼
Yup ! you can't go wrong , Dewalt usually have a promo with this unit , once a year or so,,,,,, I would upgrade the saw blade though , if you want really fine cuts , good luck .
Hello, do you know if there is any difference between the model "DWE7485" and "DWE7485WS"? It's just a WS but I don't know what it means, it could be "With Stand" or something like that?
Hi Wally,I'm looking at getting this saw. You have had it now a few months since making your video. How is the saw working out for you? What are you're overall thoughts on this saw? Great video. All the best from Germany.
G'day mate , Overall I'm very happy with this saw , so much so that I no longer use my makita drop saw (with the use of the sliding sled).....I have never used the blade/guard assembly ''personal preference'' it does not come with a anti kick/back guard ! I have not experienced any kick/back thus far ! ,,,,,the bevel gauge is OK , but has a little bit of side/ways movement- 1mm movement either way is a lot if you wish to achieve accurate 45degree length cuts,,, so I will be making a 45degree sliding sled,,, again I can't really fault this saw ,,,the safety features on the on/off switch are fantastic,,, the saw blade is so-so,,,, an upgrade blade is a easy fix,,, hope this helps you my friend .
@wallytrinc9885 Yes thanks. With that information this will be my next saw. Have to sell my old one first. Thanks for the quick reply. Have a nice day and stay safe.
According to DeWalt? No, you'd have to step up to the 10". But, I've read that other people have done it (and I ordered a set of box blades). No matter what you are limited to the total thickness of the blades - there's a couple of metal protrusions (near the vacuum port) and the you'll have to order or make a custom throat plate. HTH!
Excellent unboxing demo, you went straight to the goods without useless banter that so many woodworking RUclipsrs do.
Thanks for watching ! I appreciate your comment 🙏 .
Hi Wally. Just bought this table saw, very useful to see where all the bits go when not in use, easier than the instructions.
It's a great table saw , I highly recommend upgrading the blade to 40 teeth , regards - Wally
I just bought also, thanks for the demo
Good job. It would be great to see the precision of flatness of the table.

Thanks sandman2651 , I plan to give the table saw a good working over this weekend , with future plans on building it a portable table bench.

I guess they supply the anti-kickback on the bigger model DWE7491-XE .... still, I'm more than happy with mine , how about you ?
@@wallytrinc9885 Its not possible to upgrade saw with those pawls by any chance?

I love it. I want one. I'll have to figure out how.
As they say ..where there's a will there's a way 👍
I wish mine was so fit as yours. I bought exactly the same one and it has a lot of small issues (I was expecting much more from such a company)
I'm sorry to hear that my friend ..... may I ask what issues are causing you grief ?

Correct it's ''with stand '' some retail/hardware stores will sometimes offer a special bundle price , during mid year stock take sales !
