Hi my name is Wally ,
I'm from Melbourne, Australia & welcome to my woodworking channel .
I have a full time job in manufacturing & in my spare time I enjoy making projects; some small, some big.
Although my channel is mostly about woodworking , I also have a passion for landscape gardening , occasionally I may do a review/unboxing of related equipment ie... (woodworking tools)...( landscape/ gardening tools / sheds ...etc ).
I've been using both hand/power tools for over 35 years , I'm not a professional woodworker , but rather an enthusiast , with a real passion to learn/share my ideas & inspire others.
Thanks for watching my videos & subscribing .
Have a great day !

The core of the frame is held together using Mortise & Tenon joints , which were predominately cut by hand '' Japanese'' saw . This project has given me a lot of pride & satisfaction t...
DIY Whiskey Gift Box.

In this project I challenged myself to create something out of the ordinary... ''a gift box'' (Whiskey/Wine)...not just any gift box , but one with flair , & pleasing to the eye. The end result were a combination of light & dark coloured timbers (offcuts) laminated together to create a chess board/checkers theme. I must confess I used a lot of glue in the laminating process , but the end result...

Using Hardwood off cuts , I thought they would be an excellent choice to make a breadbox,,, not just any breadbox , but one with a tambour roll top lid & drawer on top. After sketching several designs with various measurements I finally came up with one I liked. The Core of the build was Mortise & Tenon joints. The most critical component was the inside (2) side panels where the runner tracks f...

that's a great looking box wally - enjoyed the video (you kept my attention all the way through)

Excellent project, I wish you could put the plans and measurements here to replicate your very didactic effort. Of course I like it and I'm already subscribed to your channel. Thank you very much!!

Excellent job. I would recommend the 2 following things: 1) you should face your tools opposite directions so when you flip the top, you never end up behind the tool. 2) you should use the retractable stepdown caster wheels so when you're using your cart it can sit level on the ground, and when you need to move it, you step down on the caster wheel and move it. This will also require you build the cart just slightly taller to account for the difference in with and without wheels.
Your analysis does have merit ! thanks for the feedback , regards Wally

Hola Excelente trabajo.
! How did you calculate for the wooden hinges connecting the shelves? I'm trying to make a similar box for myself but that's the big obstacle im facing
By going to time frame 12:44 - hinge C-D is centrally positioned along box ''2'' (45º)... the hinge is fixed 30mm above box ''1'' ..... & 30mm below box ''3'' .... THIS NEXT INFORMATION IS IMPORTANT !..... ''the horizontal spacings where x marks the screws IS 75 mm !!! .YOUR WELCOME !!

what wood are you using on the outside paling? is it ok to get treated paling for the outsides
Yup !! I used 150mm X 10mm ''treated'' fence pailings ...
thanks for that I just got some
hey another question what wood you using for the door boarder and for the roof boarder I can't seem to find it at Bunnings
@@allantse9245 Hey again ! it's the same treated fence pailings from Bunnings that I ripped down ( I can't recall what width). as it can be any width you desire to cut . The upright end corners are treated offcut bearers from packs ,,, I simply cut then down the guts as seen 6:08 , if you ask politely a team member (Bunnings) may give you (2) for free,,,,, from their bin ?
