- Hand crafted baby crib with bottom drawer , lot's of room for added storage, easily to assemble - using screw-in insert nuts.

I have a bun in the oven and I can tell you, all the other videos always use high-end equipment and the process isn't explained properly. Seeing all that and as a hobby woodworker, I figured i may not be able to make one on my own. But you, good sir, managed to explain everything WITHOUT SAYING A WORD! Thank you for this!
Thanks so much ! ,,, I was fortunate as the wood was purchased at my local hardware store ( dressed) so it was just a matter of cutting to length . @@wallytrinc9885 Hello there Wally. So, i'm almost done with my cot but unfortunately, the only thing that remains is the threaded insert nuts. I can't, for the life of me, find them where I live. I'll need to import them from somewhere. Before I do, though, I have two questions. I've followed your design and work (almost) to the letter. Is there anything else I can do to bypass the need for the insert nuts? Something else that I can use to maintain the disassembly feature as well?
And secondly, you were the inspiration behind this and I'd love to show you what I've made. it isn't nowhere near as "clean" as what you've made here since this is one of my first major projects. But i'd love to show you, regardless. How can I do that?

Thank you Derek , I also appreciate your (time) kind words . truth be known , I have a love/hate relationship with pine ,,, Love the fact that it's light , readily available from my work place (undersize/off cuts)...hate the fact that if left in the elements (sun-humidity-cold air) it will cup-bow-twist !

starting to work on my soon to come nephew's crib and thinking about it mentally - your design is almost exactly what im aiming for.
ill be making the back wall solid and the sides / front open.
the drawer is genis - love that.

Where exactly can i find the threaded insert / bolt kit that you used? i like the idea of removing everything fairly easily if need be.
the way you hid the majority of the screw holes is genius by the way.

Beautiful build, but for those inside hinge design, there's small concern as the clearance is too small for baby finger to slip in accidentally and cause injury.
I would rather make it a outside hinge or pivot on the stiles with having a couple inch gap from the bottom half.

Ive got the wood purchased to build this for my child. Will be going off of mattress dimensions for most of my measurements. Did you use plans for this build or off the top of your head?
Hi Steve , truth be known is , my wifE & I went to a Baby Store , as my good wife talked (distracted) the saleslady I was busy taking photos/measurements of their $1500 top of the range Crib , total outlay $$ for my build with mattress was under $150 bucks....let me know how you go mate ! cheers !!

@@helencharmoon4186 Yeah the price of a good quality crib at a baby store is ridiculous , so I put my Carpentry skills to work and built one , thanks for your feed back. 🙏
Id worry the baby would figure out the slide bolt latches.
