I don’t know if you mentioned it or not but step one is to always disconnect the battery because removing the airbag or installing the airbag is a risk of shorting the two wires together causing the primary charge to go off resulting to airbag blowing you sideways in the face happened to my buddies dad he always had his neck broken no lie disconnect the battery first folks don’t be stupid

Because that whole jumper wire idea he has there I wouldn’t even do that just disconnect the battery

Can you go over the wiring a little better? Trying to install the same hub on a Mk4 golf.. NRG gives you the fused wires with pins (I get that), 1 black wire with female spade connector each end, 1 black with female side and male opposite side & 2x red wires with one side male and other female.

Don't worry I got you take a look at 3:09 and pause it.
      ( #1 )
The black wire coming from the yellow connector on the left it the (POSITIVE)for the horn (the wire closest to the gas guage)
      ( #2 )
The (NEGATIVE) wire is the one coming from the yellow connector sort of in the middle of the area of the hub off to the right a bit this one has a smaller connector than the previous cable
These ( #1 )& ( #2 ) cables go into the back to the quick release it does not matter which two go into where .If needed cut and switch connections if needed crimping tool might be needed. For example if you get( male + male ) switch to (male + female )
      DO NOT CONNECT: #1(POSITIVE) AND #2 (NEGATIVE)TOGETHER
The cable that is on the short hub is on the front silver side is closest to the big steering wheel bolt is the (GROUND) wire that is going to be connected on the metal ring you get with your hub
the yellow connector that was on the air bag is where you are going to connect your fuse to.
Im guessing that your connectors are not matching up because I ran into that issue my self. For an example i ended up with female and female connections. All I did is that if the two cables that I needed to connect were the same I cut then off and put a male with female.
      I hope this helped!
