Good tutorial! For those wondering, you need a 12 mm triple square bit to take off the steering wheel bolt.

Tbh when I did the one on my MK1 TT to get it central there’s a little dot on the steering wheel and one on the Collar. Line them both up and it was bang on. I’m doing my mk4 golf tomorrow, i noticed my new wheel has the dot in the Centre too.

Hey! Where did you connect the horn cables? I found one connector on the metal part of the wheen but I couldn't fint the other one

Hey, it was a long time ago, the yellow plug is airbag and the black single wire goes to the metal frame kind of thing in the steering wheel.

I have been intrigued about taking the badges from my 2003 TDI stick shift wagon a4v and my Passat tdi stick shift b4v ( also interested in the available 3rd row seat)
I am interested in making them into Audi conversion cars
Any info on Audi steering &air bag compatibility
And or grill options ( Audi grill was not available in the US)

Hi there, which second black wire? the horn wire clips into the metal frame and then the other end plugs into that socket.

yes from the back of the airbag unit, disconnect the battery 12+ first.

Hi there, why does it need to be reset? Most times the tracing is out, so maybe get that checked out, otherwise you'll need Vag-com or something similar to reset the steering angle.

why one of the wires have come loose, best thing to do is remove the steering wheel to check the wires but also the metal ring behind the steering wheel,
