    The cold really kills the range and I've noticed a power drop in the cold especially when battery drops below 50%. I have an Aventon Aveture. On one of my typical trails, I ride about 21 miles in pedal assist 2 (75% of the time) or 3 (25% of the time). If it's warm out and I do my part, I'll have about 75% battery left. If I take it out when it's 35 or below, I will come back at 40% battery for the same loop. I've tested it multiple times and results are always similar. I also find myself using pedal assist 3 more as battery drains, because it definitely looses power in the cold. Thanks for your reviews, you are one of my favorite ebike reviewers on youtube.

      That’s a great observation. I have noticed the same thing with my e-bikes and cold temperatures.

    That’s a heck of a deal. A torque sensor would upend the market. Thanks for braving the elements - and traffic - Scott.

      They have some new models coming out next year. I bet some of those will be with torque sensors. Thanks for watching!

    Thanks for the views of downtown Chicago and the Coco! I always wondered if there was anyone actually using those robot delivery carts. Cool! Other than the crazy bike rider and the oblivious pedestrian it seemed like a good time. As for the Kingbull, I was impressed with the ride geometry and the big front headlight. Thanks for another great video.

    There really are some clueless idiots about. I had a similar experience a couple months ago where a girl was in front of me walking her dog. I rang the bell several times & then shouted “coming through” She never heard because she had those stupid ear buds in! She got a fright when I squeezed past her. Completely her fault though 🤷🏼‍♂️😡

    How do you compRe it to Aventon Adventure 2

    • @scotthardesty
      @scotthardesty  12 дней назад

      The Aventon Aventure 2 is a torque sensor bike. This bike does not compare to the Aventure 2. I would compare to the Aventure 1.

    I wish bikes would give you all the torque if you give it the beans instead of a ‘smooth takeoff’

    I wish there were more PLUS tire ebikes. Are there any other 2.8-to-3inch tire bikes besides the euphree stellar falcon?

    • @scotthardesty
      @scotthardesty  19 часов назад +1

      Yes. Aventon Level, Aventon Soltera 2, Velotric Discover 1 and 2, Letric XPress, Velotric T1st Plus. There are a lot of them out there and I have reviewed a lot of them.

    How do you compare the cadence pedal assist on this bike to torque assist on other Fat Tire bikes?

    • @scotthardesty
      @scotthardesty  14 дней назад +1

      Hmmmm... I don't compare them to Torque Sensor bikes. A torque sensor bike rides completely different and feels more natural with better control on speed and power. This bike performs like other fat tire bikes that have cadence sensors.

    Your saddle is too low. You can't straighten your legs entirely (if the rider is tall because they offering one size), which is bad, really really bad because your knees experience pressure in a way they are not designed for (and mechanically inefficient), (a bike fitter for example from the company SQlab or doctor for sports medicine can tell you a thing or two about that).
    E-Bike reviewer sometimes mention the saddle as too hard (generally speaking) but a soft which is actually really bad because it puts pressure on the area where a lot of nerves and blood vessels run through (Perineum = the area between genitals and anus).
    Are you aware of that ? Would be nice if all E-Bike reviewer would mention that as it is important.

      I ended up raising my saddle after the 3rd person shots. It felt better once I did. I see you know a lot about that. The funny thing is, I normally put some miles on these bikes before I review them and get my saddle correct. Then I do "Size and Fit" and mess it up. But yes, I did adjust it during the ride. That's why it was pretty easy to ride home after the battery stopped providing assist.
