I have turned down around 20 opportunities to review. I have actually accepted a couple initially, but things came up and I wasn't able to actually do them. I can't even imagine 151 companies to turn down. If you are not careful you will no longer be retired and have more than a full time job doing reviews! Keep up the good work, I look forward to watching (or listening if I'm just too busy) your video each day.
Enjoying your vlogs! About to buy my first e-bike. I’m excited about it. Biggest decision is to buy a torque or cadence sensor. I also have knee issue, I’m 53, not terribly fit but would love to cycle up our local hills. Hello from Ireland.
Overall, it's easier to ride a cadence sensor bike, but if you want more "feel" to the pedaling, then the torque sensor may be good. Or, get a bike that can switch from one to the other. The Magicycle bikes (certain models) and the Euphree Stellar Falcon will do this.
I have gotten good deals on electric unicycles around Black Friday and that definitely is an issue that you can’t ride it much when you get it this time of year. It’s been very cold and windy, so I’ve barely taken the new one out because it’s been unpleasant and borderline unsafe out there with high winds. I’m just buying stuff personally so I’m not in the same camp as you with dozens of them, but I can definitely see how it can be an issue for you. One of the nice things about EUCs is that the three I have all combined take up about as much room as a large suitcase. They’re just resting against each other in a nook under the stairs in the basement. It’s a good problem for you to have, for sure, nice to have so many different bikes to try.
Thanks for the video. I appreciate you sharing the goings on. Send them my way! I ride around 130 miles a week and hope to review bikes once I get enough subscribers. Long term reviews in a short time.
It seems Rad cancelled their affiliate program, or at least the Refer a Friend 50$ thing was cancelled. I guess in the race to the bottom, Rad cant afford to give 50$ off + 50$ referral credit anymore. Lots of angry people on Reddit at the time they cancelled the refer a friend.
Well, if they are having any financial issues, I can understand why they would cancel the program. Looks like I should make some kind of decision on using up the remaining credit soon! You Neve know what could happen if you drag it out too long! Thanks!
Russ, do you know if the Wired Cruiser is a torque sensor or cadence sensor, they don't say on their website. Also if you had to choose between 26"step thru version of the Magicycle Deer 2.0 or the Wired Cruiser, which would you choose? Thanks
It is a cadence sensor. Between the two… currently I probably would go with the Wired. Dual batteries, higher speed when needed, better suspension and lower cost. But there is a waiting period.
@@RussIsRight Thanks,, I'm still loving the 20" deer 2.0, but I think it's going to go to my wife. I really like the torque sensor, but is the gearing on the wired good enough that I won't be ghost pedaling?
Well, I have never pedaled it past 28 mph, but for that, I have never noticed any ghost pedaling. Their choice of chainring and freewheel makes it work well. At 40 mph? I am not sure.
Rad is in big financial trouble. Heard complaints from other reviewers. Time for a used bike holiday sale. Or gifting one to someone needing transportation. 😊
@@RussIsRight more than 5 seems overkill on a bike that only goes 20 or even 25. When it can go 40, there is where you need more than 5. Hmm. Have to think on that one.
I noticed ALL new Trikes models now come with a more powerful 750 motor - now including Mooncool TK-1 Pro. Do you know if Electric will come out with a Trike that will have a 750 watt motor? I am impressed with the Electric Trike and know they must be thinking about upgrading, As of today's date - Mooncool TK-1 Pro is out of stock until 2/25, so I will be looking elsewhere. I thought of getting Rad but I hear they are having financial troubles. Rad has a 750 Watt Trike - but I am NOT impressed with the overall features so no go on Rad. Do you have any recommendations on a other Trikes?
I don't know what plans Lectric has for future trikes. I have only had the Mooncool and Lectric brand of trikes so I really can't comment on your question. Sorry!
@@danielbecker9836 I visited that store and rode the Rad trike when it first came out! Check out my video of the visit here: ruclips.net/video/Hr1ITL03WNI/видео.html
Was just wondering...With you declining 150+ companies, will there ever be "over-saturation/glut/excess" of e-bike companies?!-lol...Aloha from Hawaii...Stay Safe, Ride Safer
They will eventually filter out I think. This is why you have to be selective on which brands to review. I don’t want to review unsafe products or unreliable products for future potential repair issues. Of course nobody can tell how well or poorly a company will do over time so all I can do is take my best guess before accepting a product for review.
Hey Rad bikes, if anybody from there is reading this, I'm in the market to get my wife and myself e-bikes and guess which brand I won't consider or even look at?

Lots of ebike companies out there!
Hey Russ you’ve got the best array of ebike (17) product mixture. Hats off to Mrs.Right for her patience👏🏻👏🏻❤️💯

I’m glad you are able to keep so many e-bikes. My wife would most likely tell me to get rid of them. 😅
She tells me that all the time! 🤣
@@RussIsRightThat’s funny, Mrs.K tells me that too and I only have 3 ebikes, not 17, and one ebike is exclusively hers🤣🤣

Yes, they have some issues to work through it seems.
Do the Wired e-bikes have 0-5 PAS or ability to go say 0-7 or 0-9? Seems like that would be really needed on such a powerful bike.
It has 5 levels of pedal assist only, but you can adjust how much percentage of power to set each level.
