Interesting fact about Glint in the Dark+ : if GR is stealthed and brings any enemy with deathblow resist to 0 hp, they do not enter deaths door, and instead are killed!
I figured it would work like that, honestly it just makes her so good at making sure the enemy dies right away without the death bs cause some of these enemies you want dead right away.

In DD1 I ran her as much as I could. Are there better heroes? Sure there are! But she just clicked for me. She’s also pretty beastly here, I’m just trying to get the idea of her paths (more so PATH) to really make her work better.
I’ve found that shadowfade then lunge+ with nightsworn is a really good combo, ESPECIALLY against cultists, you can get a free kill turn two most fights.
@@ItsPureLuck27 I found lunge opening kind risky, since it put her in rank 1 or 2, and most enemies would move after her, that puts her under a lot of front line fire that she can't really take about
I just love how thematic her whole design is. Like, even in her hero shrine memories, she was moving into the back rank and hiding to get away from her husband or using a self-stress heal to recover from his abuse (which later turns into self-medicating with strong alcohol while she does her first graverobbing run) . So you can really see how she was developing the skillset that later turns her into the grave robber! And her role and strengths/weaknesses really tie into her character. She is independent because she could only rely on herself while dealing with her husband. Her training as a noble woman probably helped a lot with the agility and the dancing abitlies and her flexibility (since as a noble woman you had to learn moving elegantly, courtroom dancing, how to be subtle or noticeable on will). And her weaknesses also make sense for her character. She's not fully a hardened fighter like man-at-arms, so she relies a lot on her skills and her finesse to get through the day, which means she has a lot of need for mastery. And while she is elusive and can hide in the shadows, if she gets caught she can die very easily. Just love the whole character design and that they fleshed out her character even more, while staying true to how we know her from dd1.
Plus, theres a history of women needing to murder their husbanda to get out of horrible marriages, since divorce wasn't an option for many of them. (Just look up aqua tofana.) so the grave robber is probably a nod to that. And I also love how she has all of those graceful moves like skillfully throwing darts, pirouettes, slinking into the shadows, etc... But then there are times when she just goes "fuck it" and just rams a pickaxe into someone's face 😂 iconic!
With a full blight team in the foeter, I find that Alchemist PD has high enough blight chance that she can usually manage, or at least she can pretend to be a surgeon for a bit. Grave Robber has a lot of flat damage moves she can rely on, and Flag is a strong support/tank character even without focusing on blight damage. They're all pretty flexible characters. Though, one question I have is, is flag the only blight synergy in the game? If I just have a GR and a PD, I usually prefer Surgeon to cover more bases, and to have less squishies.
Man I really wish they reworked Dead of Night and her combo mechanics. She SHOULD be the character to get Crit tokens the most reliably. I'd argue Revenge+ Leper gets more crits than her. And DoN is literally useless in boss fights. Plus I'd like for most/all cleaves to just get a chance of combo. The trinket that gives her combo when she's rank 4 just feels like it should be base to Flashing Daggers
Venomdrop is fine in the Foetor, just bring lunge and fade/pirouette for blight res piercing (and her dealing flat damage with them, which doesn't care about blight resist, helps too)
I find the shadowfade upgrade fairly useful with venomdrop, since she's so much slower with that path and you'll probably be using shadowfade anyway for the extra blight
I remember that one time I got the “more damage when stealthed” cultist trinket on nightsworn gr. it was fun to oneshot everything with lunge. Very much a glass cannon build though.
Ain't no way Shuff, I was just thinking about utilizing the grave robber more, and before going to bed I see you posting this vid. Well bed can wait a little
A nice buff to her would be having a hero trait like leper and hellion where she aplies combo when she crits either from combo or crit token doesnt matter. This way she justifies the mediocre damage she deal son crit by making her into a combo generator. Jester does more damage with his combo generating skills than she does on crit.
Really fun team with her is jester+, ss hwm, maniac flag, and night sworn gr. Can absolutely nuke the front two lanes with pirouette and grapeshot vs trash mobs, or shadow fade into lunge to pierce block and dodge. Jester can really up the tempo by allowing faster grapeshot or shadow fade. She has great tools for every region, in the tangle you can take pick in case she goes first. Pirouette is goted in the feotor, as is dead of night. Usually I take dagger throw for backline reach that ignores dodge and guarded, but pick an glint are both situationally amazing. She really shines with sprawl trinkets, (snappy swig anyone, and the one that gives extra turn) or a stiff drink can be insanely good. An interesting interaction is the stealth won’t be used or converted on extra turns such as from encore or trinkets. So she can utilize the piercing on lunge then next turn get the crit token for pirouette or pick. This team is built to end most fights in 1-3 turns consistently, which mostly negates her weakness of being too squishy. Flag will do all the tanking and healing, maniac or wanderer work, but maniac is my preference for utility mostly. The other paths kinda nerf sepsis if you’re not running heavy blight, so I don’t recommend them.
I like Graverobber, but I don't like the higher Crit chance on Combo. I would much rather take all of that away and set up Combo on those moves, including stuff like Pick to the Face. We do need more Combo generation after all and it seems appropriate.
Can someone tell me why poison darts is good? Upgraded its 4 blight to one unit whereas PD plague grenade does 4 blight to 2 units or 6 blight to a single target with noxious blast...i dont get it?
A few more things: Darts can target any rank, and can be used from any task except 1. Darts also has a high crit chance, increased further if the target is comboed. That helps reduce stress and makes the blight last longer on a more regular basis.
@APKlosky but so can noxious or plague?? Like obviously not invidually but if you are running blight, you are running both skills. Just seems odd to me, bit of crit chance is really really not as good as Double 4 flight on the back 2 ranks
@seahawk1579 true, but using plague grenade locks you into the back two ranks. If you get shuffled, ambushed, or pulled out of position, you've pretty much lost that ability. Effectively GR is trading raw efficacy for higher crit chance and better rank flexibility. It's not necessarily a great alternative, but there are benefits. If we want to talk about stacking up against plague grenade, though, we should probably look more closely at Firefly, which uses the same ranks as PG, has a negligible combo effect and deals damage to only one target.
The fact Grave Rober has an ability that can outpass death door while upgraded, but NOT Jester's Finale feels really wierd (I guess it's fair since Jester is already an OP caracter) I really appreciate GR's buff which came with 1.0 since she was the worst hero since the lunch of the Alpha. And the ideas for her paths is really nice.

It's frustrating how most of her skills are so ridiculously situational. Many are just way too weak unless you're on a specific Path, some require teammates capable of functioning when you displace them, some are just plain situational. Worse, they tied a lot of her abilities (particularly Path ones) to Stealth, and getting into Stealth is generally not worth it, it's like stunning yourself. The result of this is... most people just spam Poison Dart. Especially since her best trinket supports that strategy.
