I love my Ram 1500. I have a few years before the warranty is up. Once it expires, I will be putting a supercharger. My Tacoma is supercharged and I love it.
If you take of your Ram it will last your entire life. Basic maintenance... oil changes often Front & rear diff fluid Transfer case fluid Brakes and suspension work Grease all points Add a some preventative mods such as a oil catch can or better intake or better parts. Replace your parts when needed. Don’t drive around with the squeaking or knocking...go fix it.
Hi Guys, I have a 2018 Ram express, it has an 85 mm throttle body , K&N cold air intake with extractors, hi flow cats and twin system, it run 35's with a Procal tuner to keep everything in spec, if I go for the supercharger will my throttle body and cold air intake still be used?
I was looking at a possibly new Y62, (new 100 odd thousand), a Ram 1500 with blower for almost the same money makes a lot more sense...but do I really need a big dual cab ute......probably...... The Y62 install is as sweet as I might add.....
What did you end up going for? I need to choose between one of these two options or I just wait for the Rivian to get here and stick with a Ranger. I don’t understand why Nissan don’t give the Y62 Australian market the upgraded interior.
Money! The US loves its own. Whipple. Similar reason they don't like importing Japanese Diesels. The US know the Japanese fuel economy will affect US truck sales.
I’m surprised the rotors aren’t polished. Polished rotor would impede less with the air flow. So if the rotor is 11% bigger than a Hellcat, why still so short in horsepower? But I have to give it to you, the installation really looks OEM. Well done.
Because they're hardly adding any boost to the 5.7L Hemi. They only had a peak of 4.8PSI in this video, yet the 2650 blower is capable of well over 20PSI of boost. If you take the bwhp numbers in the video, and say that they gained 200fwhp per 5PSI (comparable gains on the Ram in the video but at the flywheel instead of the hubs), that will equate to at a minimum +600bwhp (wheel) @ 20PSI, if not more, moving the total fwhp to well over 1000hp. The Eaton 2650 rotor combo is proven to supply enough air to get capable engines over the 1000hp mark. If they wanted to get gains closer to the hellcat, all they would need to do is swap the supercharger pully to a smaller one to up the boost, and adjust fuel tables & ignition timing. Though, I wouldn't push a stock 5.7L hemi too far; they're known to have issues with the pistons.
Biggest benefit is TVS blowers do not compress the intake air inside the rotor pack so when you open the internal bypass there is very little parasitic load so fuel economy at cruise is typically the same, Intake air temps stay cooler and there is no idle issues, the TVS rotors are also highly efficient when they are Pumping so best of both worlds. Then Harrop wrap them up in a nice package that is typically better than OEM finish.
Andrew Stoffa Why them over the TRD supercharger? They say the TRD has been put through rigorous testing. It would be cool if there was a YT Channel for each brand vehicle comparing each brand supercharger in every aspect, build, quality, fitment, warranty and efficiency. The one thing I’m not fond of superchargers is they tend to be hard on main bearings on engines not designed for superchargers. One of the best engine builders in the world in my opinion Nelson Racing engines ( the developer of mirror image turbos ) shares the same opinion. On the flip side, turbos have many more drawbacks in my opinion than a supercharger. I think what Ducati has done on bike engines is genius, double rocker arms ( No valve springs ) with essentially literally naturally aspired turbocharged engine. I’ll post a video, must watch if your really into engines.
I have 15 ram sport... i have a 2" level kit and im running 35x11.50r20 nitto ridge grapplers it only rubbed the inner fender at full lock and articulated and barely did rub.
E Johnson Thats AUS $$, I can't imagine it being anywhere near that in USD $$. A Whipple is only $7000 I think, something like that. Add in the Stainless Works full Dual Exhaust/Header Kit, Mopar CAI w/ Sport Performance functional Hood. That's my plan anyway. If the TVS is the same price I might try it. I had a TVS on my Cobalt SS and it was great.
No offense but I could turbo charge my ram for less then 9,000 and get double the amount of horse gain. Is your super charger kit really worth 13,000?? NO 👎 However I was really impressed with how well the video was put together and how well the logistics part of your build was explained.
That's in Australian dollars, not USD. It would be closer to $9,900 USD. However, this kit is pretty pricy. I'd look into something like maybe a Procharger P1SC/D1X or a Whipple for your truck instead. That would put it somewhere close to the $6,000-7,500 range. This is a large blower capable of well over 1000hp on capable engines & over 20PSI of boost. Much more that your stock 5.7L can take without forged upgrades. I feel like a procharger would probably be the best all around solution for you if you want to double the output and get close to that ~600hp range; your truck should be able to take that no problem with minimal upgrades.
Aussies can’t afford this shit... we have to pay 40% more than Americans. We already pay 38%-46% tax to our dollar. A land cruiser is already for the high incomes

Can you make a kit and video for the 5.7 hemi Jeep Grand Cherokee
I’d love to see the stats. HP, torque and 0-100

If it's in my price range when I rebuild my 5.7 engine I'm going to buy the supercharger ship it to America and throw it on my ram 1500 rebel!
How well does the 8 speed transmission hold up to these power #’?
I think maybe adding just a tiny bit more power to like the 550 would be the good spot but those numbers are impressive with no internal work

Yes

Which wheels are those on the truck

Would this kit work on a 2021 Ram 1500 Etorque? if so im interested
Would this work on a 2020 dodge 1500 built to serve ?

Could you please send me a link to order a supercharger for my 2016 ram rebel?

Just in case you didn’t spend enough on your ram already here’s another 20 grand to add!
Would this fit the 2007 Jeep GC hemi
Will it fits the 300 392?
What are the max boost/power levels before having to worry about rods and pistons liberating themselves from the engine block? lol

It’s weird seeing an American vehicle with right hand drive
What's the price of one of these?
I live within 10 miles of the us facility and recently started my build. Do I smell sponsorship?
