- In this trip I spend 2 days in an abandoned stone cottage that is over 50 years old.
When I was on the way in the forest I came across a puppy and without thinking it I took him with me and I will keep the puppy!
I did some work on the stone cottage, planted bushes in the garden, and built a large fireplace in the garden.
For dinner I made myself a big beef steak with potatoes in the fire and onions.
For breakfast I got eggs with onions and tomatoes.

Not sure why this came up in my feed...but I loved it. Watched it with a cup of coffee and it was so much better than the usual t.v. or the crap news. I'll be rewatching it. So relaxing.

Found a little dog the other day, and put a picture of her on social media. Within an hour both dog and owner were reunited ...was brilliant to see how much they missed each other. Good luck to the little guy!

well, he had a lot of work to get through by the looks of it (bed for the night, cooking area, firewood cut etc). I grew up with working dogs, they know to keep out of the way when stuff is happening
That pup is so cute. I love how you are neither coddling or neglecting it. He'll grow-up smart I'm sure. I have people around me that should not be dog-owners and it drives me nuts.

I know what you mean about certain people who should never have dogs! One of my former friends had a pit bull who was very aggressive. The dog bit my arm and this woman just laughed. The bite did not break the skin but I was really frightened. She used to keep the dog in the bedroom and he would hurl himself against the door seeking freedom and attention. He also bit the mailman and the Post Office refused to deliver any more mail. I was not angry at this dog because it was a case of a bad owner, not a bad dog.
When they are puppies people think it’s cute when they jump all over someone. Not so cute when they are 100 pounds of muscle, teeth and claws.

Greetings from northern California (Tahoe) snow, bears, coyotes, mountain lions, lynx and raccoon country. I say that puppy is lucky you found him before the wild animals did. That's what usually happens in my neck of the woods. God Bless you and your kind heart for taking this little soul into your life so readily. My friends and I go hiking for days in Desolation Wilderness (it's called) so I'm learning from you how to make fires and keep ourselves warm at night. Love how you do potatoes. it really resembles the chestnut woods here in north italy, even the type of rocks are pretty much the same, cooking meat on one of those is a traditional thing and the flavor is much better than the grill!
