Only ever do this with new pallets. You have no idea what chemicals where spilled on these. Or other unhealthy things they may have been exposed to....pallets are used to ship a lot of different things and some can cause real health issues.

I can only imagine what you had to endure taking apart all these pallets when I use them for small projects like furniture is a pain.Something as big as that well I salute you and its a amazing build your very skilled.
I was thinking the same thing and when he easily drove a nail through one, I figured they must be softwood like pine, not the oak or beech most industrial pallets are made from.
I get mostly oak pallets and use them for firewood. Cutting them is rough on skill saw blades. Businesses use to throw away hundreds of pallets, now they charge $5 for them.

A project that does not use electricity, recycles old pallets to save costs. Everyone can do this project for themselves when watching this video. Thank you, I wish you much success!
First: That's a damn good dog. Second: if you take strips of the same material you used for the roofing and put them in between your siding overlaps as a pressure fit, you'd get a huge amount of wind protection as well (similar to how moss was utilized between joints and logs in log cabins) that's also extremely weather resistant for almost no additional labor for the comparative gain (literally just cutting a sheet into 1/4 or 1/2in strips). Another good, cheap option, even lower labor option would be a few tubes of silicon caulking and then you can just seal the top seam from the inside. Help keep you safe when the rain gets more horizontal and the temp drops.
Very impressive... This house looks beautiful! Why only a video of 26 minutes? You could have made 6 videos each 30 minutes building this great pallets house. And I would have loved watching every minute!

Nice! I would use "threaded nails" which would make the place more sturdy and quieter to walk on. Threaded nails hold the wood tighter together and it would stay tight much longer. Also the change in the seasons of weather would not loosen the boards either. I work with pallet wood a lot and is why I know about the threaded nails as most pallets are put together with them so the pallet does not shift or loosen apart with loads on them.

Very neat. One concern, you're going to need some kind of fire protection around that stove. Pallet wood is already super dry & when you have that kind of heat source so close, it's only a matter of time before that place ignites. Take serious precautions when using anything flammable around pallet wood.

i learn a lot from your videos it is very well filmed to show the details that are useful for others wishing to emulate your technique thank you
What kind of saw Was he using it look like it was going right through the wood
@@normalwhiteguy1555 : Looked like a silkey saw, but there are other brands that look like that too.
@@sonofeloah ok yea I was tryin to get a couple I could use like one of those Japanese 🪚
Today I learned that threaded nails exist and they can help prevent squeaking. Thank you!

About people like you, we say that their hands grow from the right place. I liked watching the construction process. And of course I liked the nice dog. We also build similar houses along the river banks so that there is a place to sleep during winter fishing. Hello from Siberia.
Very neat. One concern, you're going to need some kind of fire protection around that stove. Pallet wood is already super dry & when you have that kind of heat source so close, it's only a matter of time before that place ignites. Take serious precautions when using anything flammable around pallet wood.
And he needs to put some kinda weather is good be trash in a year
I was thinking the same thing..
@@wisdomfox857 // And in English you're saying what?
@@DanKoning777 not everyone speaks/writes english as their first language, no need to be rude. looks like they're saying its needs some kind of weather proofing, otherwise it will be trashed within a year

That is definitely a sturdy cabin, and looks terrific, great job and use of recycled materials!
But, the table. It could be better.

Haha, I like how you built yourself a ladder out of the pallets, despite probably having access to one at home. If you had to make your own hammer and saw too, then we’d have to change your name to Primitive Technology/Survival
