To hear Alice saying it needs a four speed was the best! You guys making sure she got to see the car again was a total class act. Keep putting out the great content. You guys ROCK! Hopefully we get to see more of the Vette
One thing you need to keep in mind with the car is thieves and car jackers that want it more than you! It’s a high value car and will definitely get attention.
Caroline is an amazing and talented young woman, I'm glad she's there to work with you. You guys do an amazing job on everything you work on. Keep up the amazing job on your projects
The missing tools were a major bummer, but despite that another amazing episode! It baffles me how you two manage to make such a high quality video each week. Awesome channel! 😎
You guys are about as awesome as human beings can be there are no words to express how much you enrich what can be done with the proper spirit for the automotive world Rock on guys.
So awesome to see John’s wife there at the end smiling and getting to ride in something that her husband treasured. Loved it! Great job to the both of you!!
Caroline is 1 in a million any guy she meets better be into cars im sure your proud of her my first wife worked with me in my body shop. She just wanted to do what ever it took to be by me i didnt relize how lucky i was. Great car id love to repaint it like it was to match the top.
Caroline I just got my new get wrenching t-shirt and I absolutely love that you took the time to send a card along with it I love ur videos and channels and will be forever following you and dad ur friend Rocky from Massachusetts
This is definitely one of the absolute best videos you guys have ever done. And wow what a transformation with the car. Unfortunately we don't get cool cars like that here in England. Best video ever, you guys are truly amazing and this is definitely my favourite youtube channel.....
So Cool and so happy for you! Glad Alice got to take a ride in it! 😊🙏🙏 Oh! Ian and Jamie Roussell gave you a shout out as one of their favorite channels about a week ago! So glad they like it too! Have followed Ian since he had hair! 🤣🤣
UPS and FedEx have the attitude that they owe you absolutely nothing as a customer. You should be happy if your stuff gets there and shut the hell up if it doesn't. Absolutely no shame and no sense of responsibility.
I’ve heard bad news about UPS and FedEx stealing expensive shipments. There’s a possibility a package handler or driver saw what’s inside the package. Next time have your expensive package insured so you could at least get a reimbursement if it gets lost.
Caroline and Dad...so special mision that you have by this life; rebuild the other people destroyed...😥, and dreams back again; Saludos. P.D. just need more noice this grandmom vette ✌️🙂👍
Great Revival! Can I suggest mechanics gloves, when you can use them. Boo UPS, an epic fail, that facility needs correct oversight. Great Video! Thank you.
This was really cool getting to watch. I grew up in my Dad’s chrome bumper Vettes, including a 65 coupe which had those same side pipes. I have a 55,70,72 vette; all are projects, as well as a 70 Mustang. It’s inspiring to see it sit and then transition rather quickly to a driving car. It really makes me want to get back out to my stalled projects.
Nice save! That’s a bucket list car for sure! You nailed the color! Even though, just the primer, I can’t wait to see what you do next to this beautiful driver!
The first video I said I would pass cause the car wasn't collector worthy. Which it isn't. But you open my eyes that it isn't about originality. It's the story and the Journey also what's to come. Amazing car and amazing story that goes with it. Just wow
I can feel the excitement for you both, Im in the same, anticipation is getting me, im working on a 69 corvette sportwagon, 427, 4spd, Just ordered the gas tank yesterday, with it installed, it should idle on its own, after 20 plus years of sitting outside at a Plymouth dealership, Awesome find!!!
This was a very good video. I love the way you and Caroline work together. It also reminds me on my old 66 coupe that I had years ago. I have a couple of C5's and a C4 that I fool around with. Keep up the great work.
Great video guys. It was so good to see you make the extra effort to get the car in one colour and showing it to Alice before you look it home. I love this channel. Please keep us in the loop on what’s next for the Corvette. Thanks.
Great story ! By the way when painting and priming go from one side ALL the way to the other . Big long strokes . So like all the way from the rear of the door to the front of the door. And don't stop at gaps such as door gaps . I try to paint half the side of a car with one step then I go to the next half . Looking forward to the next vid !🍀
The Corvette looks terrific! What's better, though, was watching you drive around my old stomping grounds. I worked and lived on Mare Island in the Navy back in the seventies and eighties on nuke subs. Thanks for the memories! You guys are great!
Great video !! Really enjoy everything about you 2, your goals the work the corniness & the fact your a dad & daughter team. That’s the icing on the cake. Keep up the great work !!
I love I love you guys and RUclips videos I stumbled upon them just recently and I love watching you please do not give up and keep going like you are you're giving people so much motivation these are the type of videos people need to see❤
Everything you guys touch turns to gold and you never cease to amaze!! Great job guys and this is why I think so highly of you guys and consider myself blessed to call you friends! Love you guys!! 🤘😊 make it legendary always 😊 I'm so sorry about the UPS drama 😢
Can we get a quick look at that beautiful what looks to me to be a '72 Chevy in the back, those 68-72 trucks are my favorite vehicles. Keep up the good work, I love seeing these old cars come back to life.
This is the first episode I watched. I liked and subscribed. I really enjoyed the father and daughter relationship. I'm looking forward to the next episode.
When the 2 of you leaning on the car waiting on Jim ,you were talking about hurricane's ,well I've been riding and driving through them since 1950 in Ft. Lauderdale an all over Florida. I even drove my simi through the one that hit Virginia, so your not alone. I even rode out the 2 in the Gulf the hit big Ben in Florida. I was in chiefland, FL in a camper riding out those 2
What a cool story! I hope you 2 enjoy . Also, hopefully, you were able to get the other 4 speed parts . The car looks amazing . It's such a cool journey.
On topic of that $800 master cylinder, as a rule I've found that rebuilding the master cyl is your best bet, getcha a brake cyl hone, and a rebuild kit ( new rubber plungers n washers, can o brakekleen, dismount the master, clamp it in the vice very carefully and disassemble, clean, hone, clean, and reassemble with internal parts lubed up with brake fluid. Right? It's how I've done it for 50 years, I've found that many vintage parts are superior to modern parts as far as the quality of castings, robust builds, and because it's origional it fits like it should. Having an assortment of brake cyl hones will save you tons of money, and save vintage castings from being erased from existence. For example, the brake cyls on my 1964 mercury marauder are made by Lockheed! As far as I know , that's an aerospace technology company even back then, the parts had extensive design time put into it, millions of dollars in development, and back then we had " real engineers and machinists" made in USA actually meant something, it meant " the highest quality in the world".
Same here. Back in the early days wheel cylinders, master cylinders, starters, carbs were rebuilt as a first option. My auto schooling taught us this way. Now it's a lost art.
Amazing project. After all said and done primer blue should remain the color as it a project that has been done by the 2 of you and always will be a project. Primer blue represents the journey in my eyes and I try to keep one car always primer blue. Amazing how much you 2 were able to do with such limited resources. Time to get a race trailer so you have a portable shoo w lift and all the tools you desire. Get a nice old diesal to pull it none of this new barbie I mean plastic crud. Although I do like the EV Silverado. Toss panels on roof of trailer and it goes a long way even w a trailer.
Anytime you ever have a carb fire simply turn the key again it will suck it right back in the carb and you have less of a chance of burning your car down. I really like the color of the primer I was pleasantly surprised to see that color going on I think it looks really good you guys did an amazing job. This definitely was a fun one.
Great that you offered her more money because of the motor not being seized .. cause that was the cleanest PB blaster soak I’ve ever seen. 😉. Great job.
UPS and Australia Post are definitely related, we just ordered three items from Summit, they all arrived in Australia via UPS, then one item was sent back, and two still held in Botany, Australia, all without a single contact to us
As any good surfboard or boat builder will tell you,,, never use bonds on a corvette! Or any fiberglass. Use gelcoat and fiberglass matting to correct lowspots, wear a lev 3 respirator and full body coverage suit ( paint suit or hazmat) and carefully mix and apply your gel coat letting it flow out like paint, then sand after curing. Repeat untill the desired smoothness is achieved. This Corvette is a historical piece, please do not use bonds on it!
To hear Alice saying it needs a four speed was the best! You guys making sure she got to see the car again was a total class act. Keep putting out the great content. You guys ROCK! Hopefully we get to see more of the Vette
Absolutely!!
She mentioned a quarter mile run as well. Well done folks.
The C2 is the most beautyfull Corvette, in my opinion.
Taking Alice for a ride was such a class move - kudos for being such great people!
One thing you need to keep in mind with the car is thieves and car jackers that want it more than you! It’s a high value car and will definitely get attention.
In most countries I'd recommend LoJack. In America I'd recommend open carry.
This was the BEST vlog you guys have ever put out!!! Loved the ending with the late owners wife!! You gave her so much joy!!! Bless you two!!
What a sweet woman, you can tell she greatly appreciated getting to go for a ride in the corvette and honoring his memory. Great job guys!
Seeing Alice start to tear up brought tears to my eyes.
What a story and awesome rescue.
Thx man!
Couldn't agree more!
Beautiful. Outstanding job guys 👍💯
Caroline is 1 in a million any guy she meets better be into cars im sure your proud of her my first wife worked with me in my body shop. She just wanted to do what ever it took to be by me i didnt relize how lucky i was. Great car id love to repaint it like it was to match the top.
Well done for saving the car. And finding the pin for the brakes. Can't wait to see what I guys do with it ❤❤
You guys absolutely knocked it out of the park! And the icing on the cake was seeing Alice so happy going for one more ride in it! Loved it!
It is great to see the relationship between you two . Wish my kids were closer .
Caroline I just got my new get wrenching t-shirt and I absolutely love that you took the time to send a card along with it I love ur videos and channels and will be forever following you and dad ur friend Rocky from Massachusetts
I just had almost the same thing happen to me!! I've had 2 different orders disappear from the Memphis UPS hub in the last week!! UPS sucks!

This is definitely one of the absolute best videos you guys have ever done. And wow what a transformation with the car. Unfortunately we don't get cool cars like that here in England. Best video ever, you guys are truly amazing and this is definitely my favourite youtube channel.....
Great video. Most RUclips channels forget to paint their cars. Look really nice.
Wow, thanks!
So Cool and so happy for you! Glad Alice got to take a ride in it! 😊🙏🙏 Oh! Ian and Jamie Roussell gave you a shout out as one of their favorite channels about a week ago! So glad they like it too! Have followed Ian since he had hair! 🤣🤣

Yeh. Pretty crappy service. I’d insure the next shipment.
I’ve heard bad news about UPS and FedEx stealing expensive shipments. There’s a possibility a package handler or driver saw what’s inside the package.
Next time have your expensive package insured so you could at least get a reimbursement if it gets lost.
When the video first started i wanted the car grey primered at least and suprise you primered it blue awesome
