This is a song I've been meaning to get around to for a loooong time.
Battle With the Four Fiends made a brief appearance back in the 2015 GaMetal SNES Medley, but that was just a small taste of what could be.
I've covered a lot of the classic FF battle themes at this point, leaving only a few left to eventually get to. In fact, this song might very well be the most requested 2D-era Final Fantasy battle theme at the moment.
Well, you know I always have a blast covering Final Fantasy music. So I hope you have a blast listening to it!

Classic FF needs more recognition.
Definitely, always give respect to the origins of a series. And honor the groundwork it created for the rest of the series.
One of the reasons 14 has blown me away is how it handles classic FF. Hell a whole raids series based off FF8’s summon Eden that even has a unique take on the whole of 8’s plot.
The classics are better than the lately released
F6's music is better than 4's overall, but 4 is the better game imo. Dont even get me started on kefka as a villain. Dude is a exaggerated saturday cartoon villain, how do people think that's epic writing. argh. Not that 4's villain is a masterpiece either, but nobody claims it is like they do kefka.

Oh my god, I was hoping someone mentioned this. I haven't even played FF4 but got introduced to the music from it specifically via that version 13 years ago or whatever. It's kind of insane remembering that RUclips has been around for 17 years now and I'm just getting old.

I love the focus that all the instruments get. It's so obviously NOT just the guitar. I mean, the guitar gets it's due focus too, but everything shines here.

Not gonna lie the "distinct lack of FF4" comment on the Red Wings video had me expecting Zeromus
I would still like to see Zeromus (or Within the Giant) happen but this is even better

Fact: Here are the weaknesses of the Four Fiends in the original 2D versions of the game.
Scarmiglione/Milon Z: Fire and healing magic
Cagnazzo/Kainazzo: Lightning/electrical damage
Barbariccia/Valvalis: Lightning element (SNES and PS1 port bug) or Holy element (at least in the rematch in the Giant of Babil)
Rubicante/Rubicant: Water or Ice element (at least when his cape is open, otherwise he absorbs water)
Other weaknesses in the SNES version include:
Milon Z: Arrows
Kainazzo: Ice, before Waves are up
Rubicant: Anti-Mage weapons (Giant of Babil rematch only)
Yes! With FFXIV endwalker introducing them and Golbez this is perfect timing

For FFIV (not in a mix) Boss Battle, Red Wings, and now The Four Fiends. All I need now is to hear you do "Golbez, Clad in Darkness" and (one I'm really hoping for) "Zeromus / Final Battle theme".

Looks like your "one Final Fantasy song a year" quota has been met, assuming Final Fantasy Mystic Quest doesn't count... Regardless of Doom Castle, though, Jonny always knows how to bring the epicness out of Nobuo Uematsu's work, and this is no different. I may have been listening to BIG SHOT nonstop for the past week, but I might change things up with this song now!
Maybe it would be too much too ask, but the Mystic quest boss theme would be swell.

GOD i love this theme, the FFIV themes just hit me harder than normal boss themes would because its ds version was my first FF ever, aahhh memories of getting my rear handed to me by Scarmiglione 's surprise encounter and Cangnazzo's tsunami, good times. With all the FFIV references in Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker, this is just perfect. FFIV has always been one of my favorite games behind FFVI. I love it, I'd also love to hear a remix of "The Dark Star" from Secret of Mana.

Final Fantasy 4 is one of my all-time favorites in the series and the soundtrack has a lot to do with it! This cover is incredibly powerful and well done, you never cease to impress me man!!

One of my favorite fight themes in the whole franchise, and you really do it justice. You keep it extremely high octane, and really inject the sense of desperation that the original had.

The timing could not be better! FFXIV has hinted at both Golbez and the Four Archfiends. With it being FFXIV, they will have a new story about them.
On the other hand, I remember the Golbez fight on the DS version of FFIV. That was pure hell. That whole game was harder than the Evil-type rom hack! So imagine my surprise when I get the FFIV Complete Collection for the PSP and it was not soul-crushingly difficult. Felt like a different game altogether.

YES! YES! I'VE BEEN WAITING YEARS FOR THIS ONE!!!!
Here's a possible option for a Gametal remix from a sister series to Castlevania: Getsu Fuma Den (more specifically the sequel Undying Moon, set 1000 years after the original with a different Fuma (the original is the 1st clan leader, while the one we play as in Undying Moon is the 28th and some of the other leaders are / will be playable)). Spoilers ahead:
Towards the end of the game, the second last boss, Getsu Rando (the brother of the current Fuma, now possessed after he was killed), has a multiple phase boss battle. The first theme is Radiant Golden Thunder, which plays until you clear the first health bar and goes into the mid-phase cutscene. A dark energy flows into Rando, turning him into a demon and the Wave Sword in the background held by the original clan leader (now turned to stone when he tried to seal away the demon at the bottom of Hell, in exchange for his freedom) starts resonating with the player. They pick up the blade and stab the sky in the same pose as the original clan leader in the original, before being powered up by it, while the 1st leader crumbles to dust as the seal had weakened to that point. The second phase plays the classic map theme: Go! Getsu Fuma (called Onwards! Getsu Fuma in the game's soundtrack).
tl:Dr- I think Getsu Fuma Den: Undying Moon's second last boss themes ("Radiant Golden Thunder" and "Onwards! Getsu Fuma" could make for a great Gametal remix).
Dude this actually sounds like it could be an official cover in something like one of the Bravely Games. You killed this track.
Next is either Lost in Thoughts All Alone or End of all from Fire Emblem Fates and I'm stoked.
