Gotta go with her on this. I was super disappointed watching this in theaters, the scene with the kids getting powers had my theater completely silent. It was just so cheesy and made no sense. The comedy wasn't there to me either, only made me chuckle maybe twice. I thought Christian Bale did good with what he had to work with, but I thought Chris Pratt called it in and wasn't liking Natalie Portmans character in most of it. It just became a kids movie. I'd put it the worse marvel movie personally, told all my friends and family not to waste their time on it.
I didn't like it 😔 they ruined all that hard work on Thor's character development with this movie, too comical, dreadful cgi and just all around disappointment
I both loved and hated it. I’m a quality over quantity viewer. And it seemed like they were just trying to check too many boxes off, with Thor being the butt of the joke. I miss the greediness to early movies. Have you seen any of the marvel series That were on Netflix? Or the series Legion, which aired on FX and can be viewed on Hulu now? Some of the best marvel content out there
The reason Jane thinks it's only been 3 years and Thor thinks it's 8 is because of the snap. Jane was snapped. Thor wasn't. So for Jane, it has been 3 years.
Chris Hemsworth’s daughter played Gore’s daughter that turned into Eternity and his son was one of the younger versions of Thor running in the beginning. They also used Christian Bale’s kid and a bunch of the cast children to make up the children that were kidnapped.

Imagine getting an amazing actor like Christian Bale to be a villain with a nickname like "the God Killer" and then basically not showing any actual gods being killed. This movie was horrible.
@@marclewis5505 that's why I said basically, they showed the one he killed to get the necrosword then nothing else to show us how strong he was. They just told us he had been killing gods where showing us would have raised the stakes.
@@joscar062 Hela (who’s Thor’s sister btw) legit only shared two fucking scenes with Thor, whereas Gorr shared about four or five. Also objectively speaking, Love and Thunder has a better story than Ragnarok, is better paced than Ragnarok, the characters actually develop, it actually has something to say as a film, and it also has less than 25% of Ragnarok’s jokes which the majority of those were unfunny and slowed the film down to a crawl. Speaking of 25% btw, that’s the maximum amount of focus Ragnarok gets in that film. Lol, the good majority of it is literally spent in a boring ass dumpster planet for whatever reason.
There's a lot of family members in this movie. Chris Hemsworth has three kids in the movie, one playing young thor running in the opening scene, one when all the kids get imbued with power (Natalie Portman's kids are there, too) and the girl who plays Love/Gorr's Daughter is Chris Hemsworth's actual daughter. And of course, his brother Luke plays theater Thor.
@akatoshmorgul9367 Korg is an unreliable storyteller. He's gushing Thor-lore to entertain children. What happens when any myth is told repeatedly via oral storytelling? It's exaggerated and grandiose. I appreciate that this dude is also broken. He's lost everyone. He blamed himself for the snap and went into full depression mode. In this, he starts out by jacking Quill's style and is constantly lost in thought. He barely knows who "Thor" is and only truly wakes up when the "God of Thunder" is needed. Getting Jane back and losing her so quickly would be devastating. The god butcher was great. The fights were cool. The movie is 80's as fuck since he's been rolling with the Guardians and it cracked me up. "No excuse," like anyone needs to defend themselves to you; hilarious. You apparently watched the movie and here you are watching a reaction to it. I'm willing to bet this isn't the only one. Looks like they win, regardless, dork. 😂 Not liking a movie is one thing but to think your opinion matters so much that you deem it bad is the best.
I know that the humour is a little bit much for some people, but I really liked the tone of the movie. And one thing that I appreciate is that the whole project had a lot of love (no pun). Like, the scenes in the ship (the love scene between Thor and Thor and the "reveal" scene between Valkyrie and Korg) were great, and didn't feel like what they usually do in superhero/comic-book movies. It was a bit different from most MCU movies as well. But I can see why some people wouldn't like it (specially the humour). But I do not want Thor 5 to be like Thor 1 or 2, I really don't.
Idk if y’all noticed but the rock guy that’s supposed to be the god that korg’s people worship was sitting on a throne made of scissors because rock beats scissors. Also I definitely think this movie was crapped on way too much. I didn’t love it and I definitely agree with the fact that this one kind of goes against Thor’s character dynamic but I still enjoyed this movie. I think as a stand alone movie it’s not as bad as people make it.
Bro I think you misunderstood the movie, This movie is Korg's POV...he is a fun and quirky type of guy, so it just makes sense that in his POV all this cringey stuff is happening.
Vince actually made a good point that Thor hasn't really been much different in all of the MCU. Even in Endgame (where Vince mentions Thor was a bit "serious"), Thor was a punchline with the dad beer gut throughout. They've been underpowering him a but, just like Hulk (this one due to rights issues, he can't have his own solo movie under Disney/Marvel yet). All in all, Thor has had a very good run in the MCU with Chris Hemsworth playing him.
the original gamora we knew throughout the movies is dead. the one at the end up endgame is one that came from the past before she met the guardians or made up with her sister, so that version of gamora ran off on her own because she doesn't feel like she belongs with the guardians because she doesn't really know them.
I enjoyed this movie. I am a recent Marvel fan, after watching DC shows for years. Thor was my favourite to begin with (it's now Wanda). Despite this film being targeted towards a younger audience, there is still plenty of adult themes within it to make it a decent watch. Those who complain are expecting Endgame and Infinity war type films. however, there will never be any that live up to those expectations. So people need to adjust their expectations and just be grateful for what we get.
Loki is right there especially after season 2 him, Sylvie, Mobius, Ms Marvel, Kate Bishop, Moon Knight, Yelena and Vision are all better than Wanda imo
I didn’t enjoy this movie, but that doesn’t mean it’s not others’ cup of tea. I think the MCU’s newer phases have some great stuff in them and a lot of great stories! I think a lot of people have expected the same quality of infinity war and endgame. I think it’s important to remember that these projects are not supposed to reflect infinity war and endgame since those were the pinnacle of the 1st 3 phases. They are building to the future like phase 1 and 2 did for phase 3. Those are my thoughts. I enjoy the newer projects, and I think the decision to start cutting back on quantity and focusing more on quality will help these projects in the future. Love your reactions every time!
-18:52 His daughter plays Gorr the God Butchers' daughter. -Thors goats pull his chariot. Named Tanngrisnir (Teeth Grinder) and Tanngnjóstr (Teeth Thin)
Korg is telling a story and he does get a little carried away. It's literally the only reason for this movie to be so ADD and have such a weird comedic tone around death, terminal illness and kidnapping lol
That's not even a good thing. Taika wrote, directed and voiced Korg. It means he chose all this. It also means it wasn't even enough for him to interject himself (as Korg) and interrupt any half decently serious scene involving Thor and turn it into a joke. He literally made his character the center of the movie
After Love and Thunder there are more Phase4 projects released in order in case you missed: - I am groot season 1 - She hulk: Attorney at law - Werewolf by night - Black panther: Wakanda forever - Guardian of the galaxy: Holiday special. (End of phase 4)
Gorr, the God butcher in the comics, is perhaps Thors most dangerous villain as he is a sadistic serial killer that does have an incredibly understandable motivation as his faith in a higher power led to the death of his people and family, which makes him a terrifyingly tragic villain and he was a big hit in the comics back in his debut in Jason Aaron's Thor God Butch comics. Christian Bales was a fantastic cast to play the character in live-action, and if you ask me, he was the best part of this movie as you really feel the creepy nature of the character as a sort of boogeyman. However, I was pretty disappointed with how little screen time he got since he is such a dangerous threat that he enslaved countless gods. It took 3 different versions of Thor one from the past, preset and future to finally kill Gorr in the comics and yet we only see Gorr kill one god on screen, despite his name literally being "The God Butcher". His motivation kind of being confusing in the movie; if he wants to kill all gods, then why bother abducting children, he could also followed Thor and his back to the Omnipotent City and gone on a massive massacre of all of those Gods stuck in the same room thus he really could've lived up to his name, but for sadly for some reason they missed that opportunity, which is really sad since Gorr had so much potential to truly be a great and iconic villain, but sadly he was sort of wasted especially when compared to how much he mentally and physically he scarred Thor in the comics
Excellent review. Pretty much summarized everything perfectly. Christian Bale really was phenomenal & the God Butcher character is great. As a result they basically had to be diluted and cut out of the movie in order to preserve its slapstick feel. Which is a shame because the slapstick wasn't worth it. Marvel needs someone with the courage to tell a story. Not an empty vehicle to move us from joke to joke, large set piece to large set piece, surprise character reveal to character reveal and one stylish font title card to another.
They just had endgame and infinity war, they weren’t going to do another depressing story lol. As it is he still lost Jane in this movie, like he definitely didn’t need that after the last 5 years. Thor is the most defeated of the MCU heroes as far as personal losses go. He’s just coping
Great reaction guys. I like the editing of showing clips from the movie you were discussing after the reaction. You should probably make sure the transition swift sound effect is quieter than your guys' audio. Or just take out the sound effect altogether.
Guardians of the galaxy v3 is leagues ahead of this movie. The problem is the Thor at the end of endgame doesn’t exist here. It feels like he hasn’t developed even though we’ve seen important moments for his character.
Taika Waititi has openly characterized Thor: Love and Thunder as a cinematic exploration of Thor's midlife crisis. This marks a notable deviation from the previous Thor movies, which predominantly focused on action, comedy, and traditional superhero elements.
Taika Waititi hated Thor and has said so in interviews. This movie is so bad and Chris Hemsworth hated it so much that he had said if he comes back to play Thor again he isn't interested in working with any "Mad Guiness" directors and that they'd have to take the character into another direction. I'd make the entire thing a Coma dream and when he wakes up he leaves Korg on Indigarr return to earth and learn Jane Foster died of cancer, and then have to put a team together because Valkyrie sold the residents of New Asgard to The Grandmaster. Which would suite her traitorous nature.
i like how you pointed out how the movie feels like the play, it’s because it was supposed to! they included the introductory scene of korg telling the story of ‘legendary thor’ in front of an audience of kids for a reason: this entire movie is a fairytale, a story that an unreliable narrator (korg wasn’t there for a lot of the events/dialogue, so he made stuff up) is telling a bunch of children, so it makes sense for the film to be full of jokes, sentient inanimate objects, literally next to no intimacy between love interests, the villain being super scary, all kinds of ridiculous outfits, and most importantly - absurd dialogue. all of the characters in this movie are exaggerated versions of themselves, i mean in no universe would zeus act or dress the way he did LMAO. i think most fans expected something super dark and serious and gory and whatnot, forgetting that the director is taika waititi, their expectations clashed with his style and it resulted in hatred. taika isn’t a fan of repeating things he’s experimented with in the past, so even if his project was a success (thor: ragnarok), he most likely won’t use the same formula again. i like that his movies mix haha funniness with serious lowkey heartbreaking topics. to me, amid all the drama that happens in the mcu, this version of thor is a breath of fresh air.
@@Meepie_Playz christian bale does not have to deliver an oscar-worthy performance in every single movie he stars in. "the pale blue sky" was not a memorable movie; it was too bleak and too slow, which made it boring. i think bale did an alright job in that, he worked with what he had, and that's exactly what he did here. you do realise actors know about the roles they're committing to before shooting, right? christian bale read the script for it before being cast, so he was fine with the costume, the dialogue, and the story. he could have left if he thought the movie was trash, but he didn't, he could have thought of it as a challenge for him as an actor to play a mythical entity, to star in a movie that isn't a drama or a thriller. if he AGREED to it, why the fuck are losers like you DEFENDING him as if he's a victim of it all? (p.s. natalie portman is on the same level of phenominal acting as bale, but i'm not hearing any of you complaining about her part)
Biggest problem with the movie was they didn’t get to finish the movie. Watiti asked to have the movie pushed back and Marvel Studios told him no. There is supposedly nearly an hour of extra film he wanted to include. There are actually scenes in the movie where you can see unfinished CGI. It has good moments, but because of the unfinished business you get a really diced up and all over the place movie.
I think most people didn't realise that the reason the movie is so ridiculous, is because Korg is the one telling the story, and this is how things happen in his mind
I felt exactly the same way about Hercules when I saw it in the theaters. Everyone was raving about the actor portraying him (which I didn't know who he was), but I thought he was short, hairy, and not "Herculean" enough. The could have used someone like Michel Huisman (from Age of Adaline).
I feel like a lot of us watching and loving the Thor series, really loved the comedic elements. I know that's what drew me to the first one was the trailer where he's getting hit by the car, or declaring how he's a god shortly before taking down a peg.
loved the movie, especially how Christian Bale played his character, i love how eerie it was. IMO the movie layout seemed kind of odd i don't know how to explain it
Are you kidding me the movie is trash they wasted both Thor and Gor's characters and making Thor a joke both this and Ragnarok are trash movies because Ragnarok was the one that started all this mess of dumbing Thor and making him a baffoon
In Greek mythology, the gods had a different blood from humans that was gold coloured. That’s why in the movie 300, Leonidas wanted to show Xerxes could bleed. So everyone could see it was red and therefore not a god.
I really like there reaction videos because they don't over sell there reactions there just real and I appreciate it gained a sub and I'm binging all the marvel videos
16:31 this was Taika’s way to have a “bloodbath” and not be R rated. 19:35 anyone can pickup Stormbreaker cause he wasn’t enchanted like Mjolnir was. 23:33 love how he put in a condition to giving them the power of Thor so they didn’t keep the power after fighting.
Thor has huge mood swings across the MCU, so for me this totally consistent with how he handles his emotions when dealing with love and loss. I enjoyed this outing, the goats made me laugh so much. I also loved that Heimdal's kid is a typical Earth teenager with attitude having now grown up on Earth.
Yeah the screaming sounds the goats made is an overused meme that has been around for years I hate that sound a lot it is the least funny thing possible
I expected this movie to introduce Thor variants and God Bomb and a reckless Kratos like version of gorr. Even gorr has that.." Kratos hates Gods" moment.
I liked this movie a lot. It's not the best Thor movie, but it's good. And you have to remember one thing: The entire movie is KORG telling his version of the story about Thor. KORG? Nice guy. Not that bright. I think it made for a fun movie.
The comics arc by Jason Aaron is infinitely more epic and deep and rewarding! By the trailers alone of the goofy parts, i dunno...I'm hoping for a truly epic Thor 5. Oh and the comics arc with Mighty Thor is epic and moving!
The reference to a reality that has Interstellar just takes me out of the experience. It's no wonder I haven't pressed play on it in Disney Plus. The OG Avengers reference to Legolas was on point!
😂 yes that is Christian Bale from American psycho and yes the dark Knight as Batman 😊 yes he does and if you play close attention his oldest which is his daughter is the one who plays love in the movie play by his daughter lola❤
I think people miss the fact that this is a story being told from Korg’s perspective, so for me the comedic element makes sense! At the end of the day if people don’t like it, then that’s up to them. Personally I like it!
i like to think of this movie as Korgs telling of the story based on how it starts which hes played by the director which would also make it like a directors cut. gorr himself is great im not too sure why they gave so much control to taika..
Your girl was absolutely correct, Love and Thunder took the jokes overboard. The movie made him dumb and Gorr The God Butcher isn't a movie with frigging jokes. Dude ya girl right and you're wrong buddy.
You can enjoy a movies because it is funny and all, which is completely fine. But fundamentally, a movie needs to have a good story, which this one didn't have. It was like gags cranked up.
they were trying to make this Thor movie more light hearted because their were fans and critics complaining that the first two Thor movies were too dark.
There are reasons why Gorr was changed from the comics to the movie is: 1. Gorr in the comics looks like Voldemort in a thong 2. Gorr's kills are way more guresome than can be shown in a PG-13 movie 3. The weapon Gorr (The All black)uses in the comics originally came from a Venom villain called Knull (Knull uses the weapon in his war with the Cesetials like from the Eternals) but in the movie is called the Nercosword it is used to kill gods
Me and my friend went, he loved it, I did not. He got a tattoo of Jane's hammer on his bicep with lightning that scatters everywhere. Film is truly subjective.
Thanks didn’t know about eternity because he didn’t really know the gods like that. God butcher literally has been hunting gods and he had to have come across it while killing them
In the comics this story is one of my favorites. This movie had so much potential and it was a miss, for me anyways. The comedy was okay but out of place. I agree with you tho guardians comedy does hit it on the nail, definitely my favorite. Can’t wait for yalls reaction!
Yep. Thor the god of thunder run that sits on my shelf, is a top 5 comic run for me. This movie however is one if the worst movies (not just mcu) i have ever seen.
I dare you two to read the comic run of this story with Gorr the God Butcher called Thor: The god of thunder. It is compelling. And really not that long. You can finish it in a couple hours.
This movie really showed how fickle and how much of A-holes gods can be. You see a glimpse of it in moonknight with Khonshu and Ammit, but watching an auditorium filled with God's make no attempt to help Thors cause is insane. Bonus points: the little girl that plays Love in the movie is Chris Hemsworth daughter 🎉 Even more bonus points: The sword that Gorr uses belonged to Knull. Whom made the symbiotes which is what venom is. Also it cut the head off a Celeastial and that head is now called Knowhere which you'll know from the Guardians of the Galaxy movies
yeah the gods part is done really well, also they turn into golden dust upon death bcz in early comics that indicated that the Gods who turn into golden dust are corrupted
Vince is more mature, even with Thor: Love and Thunder I was slightly disappointed but I didn't hate it. The only MCU project I genuinely hate is Hawkeye. Even She-Hulk with all the controversy it has, it wasn't the worst thing ever.
And in the myth, Heracles (his Greek name) or Hercules (his Roman name) was a demi-god. His father was Zeus. His mother was a mortal woman named Alcmene. After his death Zeus granted him a home on Olympus, and made a god. I think Marvel tried to stay close to the original myth. Additionally, regarding the hairy chest, Mediterranean men generally tend to be hairy.
This was more of a question why didn’t they tell the real story about god killer that would pull THOR’s true side. I’m talking about his past present and future who had taken down the god killer.
I love that the Portrayal of Zeus is both consistent with the Actual Myth, and slightly made more hilarious by Russle Crow’s take. But it shows how Deeply Unashamed or Overconfident Zeus is! He is an Egotistical jerk to the humans and others he considers lesser than himself.
To me, the story was Korg telling it to the kids, so it was a little silly on purpose because the subject matter is so deep with the deaths and all that.
I do agree Thor has been pretty goofy, but also agree that they leaned way too much into the humorous side on this one. Just overly silly imo, but rewatching with you guys(knowing what to expect) did make me appreciate it a bit more
Can we honestly say that Phase IV -- a phase about grief, trauma, identity, and the very introduction to the MULTIVERSE SAGA -- is not better than Phase I? WandaVision alone is superior to everything in Phase I, including AVENGERS. So is SPIDER-MAN NO WAY HOME. So are other Phase IV projects. We shouldn't groupthink this. We really cannot judge Phase IV projects by saying they aren't ENDGAME quality or expecting them to be... and are we talking quality or excitement of ENDGAME? We should compare Phase IV with Phase I. Even then, we cannot really judge Phase IV until we've seen the end of Phase VI (and perhaps VII) then end of this MULTIVERSE SAGA. Many seeds are being laid down: including Thunderbolts, young Avengers, and New Avengers. Phase IV has many difficult tasks: it must deal with the fallout of ENDGAME and the INFINITY SAGA's conclusion. It must introduce us to new heroes and villains that will drive the story forward, stepping into the shoes of Iron Man (gone) and Captain America Steve Rogers (gone). And Phase IV suffered several terrible misfortunes: COVID, Disney corporate demands to produce 3 to 5 times the content of every Marvel produced over a ten year period, and Chadwick Bosman's death. Don't lessen the impact of that last factor: Black Panther, along with Doctor Strange and Captain Marvel, was to be the new trinity of this Multiverse Saga going forward. That's not happening. Strange is the most important hero.. Captain Marvel is not popular... and the new Black Panther is still to be tested. Wanda is the key to this Multiverse Saga. But she is dead -- unless Dr. Doom prevents her suicide with his Time Platform. But we've yet to see that... THere is more to come. Prediction: By the time FANTASTIC FOUR smashes box office records beginning Phase VI, the doom and gloom of "Marvel is dying!" will be no more. Deadpool 3 comes out next year. Feige is taking his time. And Doctor Doom is coming. When you see Doom with Wanda on the screen and what comes after, all the complaining will be much less.
I believe this film has one of the best if not the best plot/cast/ and message but the execution was definitely too funny, needed more seriousness, more action and definitely a better music choices for specific scenes
I really think the people who say that the reason why the movie leaned so much into comedy was because it was korg’s perspective is just coping so hard. Sure, that reasoning works but it shouldn’t have undermined the entire movie with the comedy. We already seen Ragnarok and that was great so you could show and tell a good story with the right balance of comedy while explaining darker/more serious themes at the same time. So this movie being told from “Korg’s pespective” doesn’t excuse it being a terrible film. As a stand alone comedy film, mediocre at best. But as a film with a legacy character being a part of a connected universe, this was an absolute dumpster fire 😂 Multiple missed opportunities with the narrative direction, supporting characters and, most notably, the antagonist. They really did Gorr THE GOD BUTCHER dirty by making him a kidnapper for some reason. Definitely could have been executed better by Taika Waititi given he brought us Thor Ragnarok.
i loved ragnarok so was excited for this one but never have i wanted to walk out of a movie theatre more than while watching this movie, this kind of just killed my enthusiasm for marvel since
Personally speaking, I enjoy and like this movie It's definitely not as good as Ragnarok and it could've been way better. But it was a perfectly serviceable movie to me. I like that Chris Hemsworth got to act out scenes with his daughter. Gorr was an amazing antagonist. I certainly didn't expect Eternity to play a major role in the film, but it's cool to see him in live-action
Hi guys, just to let you know that the movie is from the point of view of Korg (the rock guy), he is telling us the story. That’s why the movie is full of jokes and not that serious ✌️
It will make sense when you guys watch guardians of the galaxy 3 but the Gamora that is alive from Endgame is from 2014 so she doesn’t have the same memories or relationships with the guardians like their gamora did that died in Infinity War
10:29 That's not another Hemsworth brother. That's Matt Damon. Oop- the other one-- yep, he's a Hemsworth brother. Chris Hemsworth's wife and kids are in the movie, including the baby running in the beginning. And now I see @Big8SirCash's post below with more details.
I think Thor:Love and Thunder isn't as bad as some fans say it,yeah it was more comedy but served a purpose. Now honestly I think the next Thor movie should be more dark and serious,Gor was a great villain and really made the movie more serious than it was just wished marvel had more scenes of him actually killing other gods.;to me he wasn't as big of a threat like he was in the comics

Ragnarok will always be better than this mess by a country mile
Hela was better used than the god butcher 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Chris Hemsworth's wife plays the wolf lady Thor makes love with in Korg's story telling scene
also the wolf woman they show him with is his wife.
I genuinely had a lot of fun watching this in theaters
This movie was so much fun! The fact that it’s Korg telling the story obviously went over so many people’s heads.
Ah yea, because Korg is the director of the movie.... Thats no excuse for a mediocre movie.
Not liking a movie is one thing but to think your opinion matters so much that you deem it bad is the best.
@@akatoshmorgul9367because you think it’d mediocre doesn’t mean it is🤦🏽♂️
@@jaidenroberts05 The movie got a 6.2 rating on imdb. I'd say thats most definitely mediocre...
@@TankGamingADHD And that's considering how leniant many of the critics were. This movie was one of the worst MCU movies by far.
That just makes it worse.@@lul6658
@@lul6658 ok? doesn't make it any less cringey or more enjoyable to watch
This movie was trash, they wasted Christian Bale.
the original gamora we knew throughout the movies is dead. the one at the end up endgame is one that came from the past before she met the guardians or made up with her sister, so that version of gamora ran off on her own because she doesn't feel like she belongs with the guardians because she doesn't really know them.
it felt like taika basically made a live action comedy anime
a lot of ppl dont realize that Crows version of Zeus is a more accurate version from Greek Mythology
100% Agree with everything you said.
Loki is right there especially after season 2 him, Sylvie, Mobius, Ms Marvel, Kate Bishop, Moon Knight, Yelena and Vision are all better than Wanda imo
This movie was trash, they wasted Christian Bale.
Susana liked it when thors clothes came out hahha
Oh but if someone did this to a woman God forbid and that is oe of the majors reasons for MCU's deserved downfall
Stormbreaker doesn’t have the same stipulation about only the worthy being able to hold it.

No, but it was
Hercules' portrayal is mostly based on the actual Herakles, definitely not the disney version 😂
And the Marvel Comics Hercules.
@@genghisgalahad8465 yeah same thing, the comics is also based on the real one
Im glad he didn’t get persuaded into not liking this movie. I personally enjoyed it
I read a comment once saying it was Thors story told through Korgs eyes, and that made sense to me.
Yes exactly. :)
Yeah and I'm clinging to that explanation like a drowning man! :)
Yea that’s sounds nice but the fact is this movie sucked and made Thor a total joke.
THANKS for this, Mix Duo!!!! Yea, you are catching up!! I too am very mixed when it comes to this film!
There's something so heartfelt about this movie that rly touches me and bring a tear to my eye at the end ❤
After Love and Thunder there are more Phase4 projects released in order in case you missed:
- I am groot season 1
- She hulk: Attorney at law
- Werewolf by night
- Black panther: Wakanda forever
- Guardian of the galaxy: Holiday special.
Came to the comments to say this, Glad you brought it up!
This movie was trash, they wasted Christian Bale.
@@Meepie_Playz they did waste him, they really did. You bring in such a great actor and only use him for giggles is horrible.
Fun Fact: this is the first Thor movie where Loki does not make a physical appearance (but is mentioned on the back of his tattoos).
Nahhh the Travis Barker comparison is crazy😂😂😂😂
Korg getting himself a partner is the best part haha
IMO the movie layout seemed kind of odd i don't know how to explain it
Too bad they wasted his character
Are you kidding me the movie is trash they wasted both Thor and Gor's characters and making Thor a joke both this and Ragnarok are trash movies because Ragnarok was the one that started all this mess of dumbing Thor and making him a baffoon
In Greek mythology, the gods had a different blood from humans that was gold coloured. That’s why in the movie 300, Leonidas wanted to show Xerxes could bleed. So everyone could see it was red and therefore not a god.

Thor has huge mood swings across the MCU, so for me this totally consistent with how he handles his emotions when dealing with love and loss. I enjoyed this outing, the goats made me laugh so much.
Yeah this is Korg's perspective of Thor.
when you understand that this movie is being told by Korg THEN it starts to make more sense.
Doesn’t make it any better
We went through so much sadness in The End game, so they wanted something a little more comical.

Love the fact the made Stormbreaker sentient.
they were trying to make this Thor movie more light hearted because their were fans and critics complaining that the first two Thor movies were too dark.
There are reasons why Gorr was changed from the comics to the movie is:
1. Gorr in the comics looks like Voldemort in a thong
2. Gorr's kills are way more guresome than can be shown in a PG-13 movie
God butcher literally has been hunting gods and he had to have come across it while killing them
hold your ground girl! you're right!
Bonus points: the little girl that plays Love in the movie is Chris Hemsworth daughter 🎉
Even more bonus points: The sword that Gorr uses belonged to Knull.
It’s important to remember the entire movie is from the point of view of korg telling a story, that’s why it’s funny. It’s. A story for children
In defense of Hercules, they portrayed him as they did in Marvel comics. They kinda pulled it off.
Bro just turned from god killer to kidnapper😂
This was more of a question why didn’t they tell the real story about god killer that would pull THOR’s true side. I’m talking about his past present and future who had taken down the god killer.
I love that the Portrayal of Zeus is both consistent with the Actual Myth, and slightly made more hilarious by Russle Crow’s take.
But it shows how Deeply Unashamed or Overconfident Zeus is! He is an Egotistical jerk to the humans and others he considers lesser than himself.
"consistent"
@@youli3568 I mean, yeah. Consistent. Zeus is a horrible person who only thinks about himself and has a lot of sex

I generally can't stand Christian Bale, but he was by far the best thing in this movie
I believe this film has one of the best if not the best plot/cast/ and message but the execution was definitely too funny, needed more seriousness, more action and definitely a better music choices for specific scenes
There’s a deleted scene with Thor and zues talking god talk
I really think the people who say that the reason why the movie leaned so much into comedy was because it was korg’s perspective is just coping so hard.
Sure, that reasoning works but it shouldn’t have undermined the entire movie with the comedy. We already seen Ragnarok and that was great so you could show and tell a good story with the right balance of comedy while explaining darker/more serious themes at the same time. So this movie being told from “Korg’s pespective” doesn’t excuse it being a terrible film. As a stand alone comedy film, mediocre at best. But as a film with a legacy character being a part of a connected universe, this was an absolute dumpster fire 😂
Multiple missed opportunities with the narrative direction, supporting characters and, most notably, the antagonist. They really did Gorr THE GOD BUTCHER dirty by making him a kidnapper for some reason. Definitely could have been executed better by Taika Waititi given he brought us Thor Ragnarok.

This movie could've have been much darker and fitting the tone of Gorr. I think Ragnarok had the best balance, it felt refreshing for a Thor movie
