Hi, Wo navigation you can still have CarPlay if you have entrynav2 HU. The must conditions are: - BMW software minimum 2018 year - Wi-Fi antenna output is present (pls check physically) If your SW level is 2020 or above then full screen CarPlay is supported (in case of wide screen. It means you have 3 tiles not 2)

Hi Vladimir. I reached a point that I can’t connect my phone to the car, it always times out. Everything went great and I can see apple car play BUT this happened The car as Wi-Fi antenna , I already disabled and enable siri and I reboot it 2/3 times. Any ideias?
If your Software version is X or Y then on that level some Evos has problems with connection. Fix is free for my customers. Just send me a message in telegram and provide your order number. I’ll issue you the new code that will solve that problem.

CarPlay cannot be projected to HUD (OEM also) Disadvantage: if you update HU you will loose CarPlay and navigation. But it can be restored via same solution.
@Bimmerdoc I just got a late 2016 140i. It has IDrive 5. NBTevo_H and 2021-3 map pack. I want to update it to have Apple car play and latest map pack. It doesn’t have wifi antenna yet but I ordered one online. I was wondering whether to get new map and CarPlay or just update the firmware to a newer version to have full screen car play. If I do the firmware upgrade, would I get new maps and Apple car play with it automatically, or would I still need to install maps and car play in addition to the firmware upgrade?
Yes, your version at the moment does not support full screen CarPlay. So if you need full screen, then SW update is a must. In that case order code from my bot for new software already. You will have Y version after the update.

Vladimir is the man. I just finished installing it on my 2017 340i. Everything on his end was perfect. All of the issues I ran into were on my end. First I had a hard time downloading the “Feature Installer” application. I discovered that was because Windows Defender was blocking it. Once I granted the proper permissions it downloaded no problem. Next issue I had was that there was a checkbox on my headunit saying to use wifi antenna that i had to search for. This was probably because I just installed the wifi antenna an hour prior and hadn’t even run the car yet. Last issue I ran into was that the CarPlay option was not showing up in the menu but like Vladimir shows in his videos, I reset the headunit by holding down the volume button. Mine took about 25-30 seconds to reboot. After that I followed his instructions in this video and it fired right up. I am glad I stumbled across Vladimir’s videos rather than pay $700 at the dealership or $300+ with other vendors. Installation difficulty was 2/10 Customer service from Vladimir 10/10 Cheers from NY.

It will almost work. It means your HU can support CarPlay but the software in it is a bit too old for that. So you need to update software first and then CarPlay will work. (Even with a full screen)

I followed your steps to check the version on my 2018 F48 X1 but all it shows is 101011713.1.00 and Road Map EUROPE Way 2017-3 E1732C1R. What does that mean? Thanks.
It means you don’t have nbt evo headunit. You have Entrynav2. CarPlay might still be doable there. But the procedure is totally different. More details via private message.

Some headunits can be establish connection wo Wi-Fi antenna, but it will be unstable. I guess it’s your case.
Check for Wi-Fi antenna presence.

but my original display from bmw will be able to project apple carplay i have nbt evo id6 with the bigger navi screen

G20 has MGU and android auto is supported there. But doable only via OEM purchase.

Красавчик. Тут как то была поднята тема, что на русскоязычном ютубе блогеров хейтят и не дают продвижения профи, которые делятся с публикой. Вместо этого мы имеем шляпу многотысячных просмотров как поменять лампочку в фаре. Это не смотря на подачу материала. В дебатах говорю ребята. Проблем то нет, если такое жлобство происходит. Мы можем и не с русскоязычной аудиторией делиться. Которой смею заметить ваши русскоязычные звезды по банану вообще. И это будет правильно. Видно зажрались и есть что потерять и остаться на уровне лампочки. Человек делает профессиональные видео. Награда ютуба 10 сентов. Это что нормально? Пора революцию делать)))

Но есть и другая тема, как некомпетентность в технических вопросах этих самых заезд, которые продвигает ютуб или там еще кто то со своими роботами мифических зрителей, в комментах которых вылизывают языком бредятину авторов. И хейтить их будут все больше и больше. Устануть банить. Придумали тут хренатень. Работайте над качеством, купите камеру новую 16К, не дышите в микрофон. Хорошо, все условия выполнили. Ничего не изменилось. И что? Так что надвигается бунт. А нам даже лучше уйти на англоязычную аудиторию, где люди с детсва понимают что надо за всё платить

I followed your steps to check the version on my 2018 F48 X1 but all it shows is 101011713.1.00 and Road Map EUROPE Way 2017-3 E1732C1R. What does that mean? Thanks.
It means you don’t have nbt evo headunit. You have Entrynav2. CarPlay might still be doable there. But the procedure is totally different.

Yes you have to flash it to ID6 first

What if I don't have "navigation" or NBTevo on my BMW? It's an F30 330e with an 8.8in display.
You should have Entrynav2 headunit. Some of them do support CarPlay. But not all of them.
