    Got one... 2023 FTR 1200 Sport. Absolutely sick bike!!! Throw in a tune, de-cat, Sawicki Speed pipe and I can't find anything better!!! Got mine kicking around 150hp now and it will literally stand straight up in the first 3 gears with just throttle... Absolute blast!!!
    Haven't found a bullet bike that can run the canyons any faster and only a handful of bikes are faster.... Busa, H2, M1000RR and only because they'll go 180+. Changed sprockets, removed the governor in the tune and 165 is not an issue...

    This is a well engineered Swiss Auto Bullet Proof 1203cc Engine (FTR) Flat Track Racing inspired motorcycle, to my knowledge there are now 9 different FTR models from 2019 to 2023, I have the 2020 Rally model modified to the Super Hooligan Long Track specifications, No Passengers, No Touring, Just thrill seeking weekend fun riding through the Scenic Hills and Valleys like a Shark Through a Bait Ball, I've been riding motorcycles for 57 years and I absolutely love this machine, I have to say that riding my FTR as it's meant to be ridden makes me feel like a misbehaving teenager, Highly recommended.... Oh and of course I also own a well known BMW motorcycle for my long distance adventures as I have health issues, Plus I only get 120 miles to a tank full of fuel on my Indian, Who Cares, It's Awesome ! ... Added Edit.. (If you feel that you need to turn Traction Control on, You really shouldn't be riding this motorcycle),..OAP Wales UK.

      Howdy, as a fairly experienced rider (lots of time in the dirt, over 10k miles on the street... fairly experienced not super experienced...) One of my favorite features of the FTR is the baby sitters... I don't really enjoy having a bike come out from under me on the street (I still ride a lot of dirt I'll leave that for being on the dirt) so traction control abs and depending on how I'm feeling the wheelie control are all welcome features, lets me cruise around and commute and than just get after it for 5 seconds without like even needing to consider it, especially as I live on a gravel road, and its the first bike I've owned with cruise control which is nice coming from mostly dirt bikes/dual sports

      Fair play Sir,.. Without offending or insulting Hegshot or his viewers knowledge or capabilities on or off road, I would just like to say that I am a retired old age pensioner that purchased the Indian FTR 1200 for one reason, To have some fun, I don't use traction control as it puts a stop to controlled broad sides eg: power drifting around roundabouts when the roads are wet and this machine does it with ease and finesse, Oh and of course the odd wheelie in the dry, I don't get a kick out of impressing people in public but I do get an enormous sense of well being along with the adrenaline rushing through my old and ackeing body, all done with the publics safety in mind and of course because I can, I'm no experienced stunter and I certainly do not encourage stupidity that could endanger members of the public, there is a time and place for shananigans and I find them every time I take my FTR out, as I have already stated in my first comment I also ride a well known practical and extremely comfortable German motorcycle for long haul and highway use and find cruise control and abs a must have, and yes I am aware that the FTR is very capable of long distance but I purchased mine purely for Fun, it's ashame that I have no way of posting a picture of it in its Stars and Stripes Glory,.... Regards, From an OAP with a Grin only Jason Momoa can give.

      @@WreckingCrewHR4K Yeah for sure, for me I live in sw wisconsin with some of the best motorcycle roads to rip up and down on my commute... I'll pretty much leave the wheelie ridding and sliding around to my dual sport... this bike is to me what your BMW is to you and my dual sport is to me what the ftr is to you...
      Someday I may add something like an Africa Twin or gs1000 to the fleet but I honestly don't see myself going on very many large milage trips... I tend to haul bikes to fun places not ride them there... I struggle with the heat and enjoy riding in ac ;)

    This bike is best pinned against Ducati Monster, Buell XB 12s, and other naked street fighter style bikes. I love the concept and wish that Harley would make a naked version of the Pan America to go head to head with it because the Sportster S isn't anywhere in the same league.

    Just a FYI . This bike does have a passenger seat. All FTRs do. For the sport it has a cover that hides the back half of the seat, and it can come off. 24:47

  • @ericlismumze9932
    @ericlismumze9932 Год назад +1

    just looked at one, test drove. i really liked it mechanically...Indian did a great job making it feel lighter than it is. the problem is for 2023 the paint schemes are just not great, and the sport model has that headlight "fairing" thing and its to upright and not good looking. and the FTR is a flat tracker...so it doesn't fit anyway. the frame in the sport and Carbon needs to be red. The carbon colors are to subdued and sad looking for the premier version.
    Also, pretty sure the bit comes off the back of the bike and under it is a seat already on the bike, you don't have to add one...
    Indian needs to expand this line, a smaller version with the scout 65 engine would prob sell decent. and many reviews say the range is not great...
    if Indian wants a sport model it needed to prob actually go further, look at what Triumph did with the Speed Triple line, the RR having the faring and so forth. oddly, the Sport Chief has a whole fairing, but its to square and big for the bike and looks goofy...so that one should have had something more like the little bit on the FTR sport...would have looked better and not copied HD so much with the Sport Chief.
    Ultimately though, for the price you can get lots of other bikes that are in that HP range but are lighter and handle better...the MT09 for example. or a Street Triple...a Speed Triple can be had for Carbon money...30 or 40 more HP and 50 pounds less. The v-twin makes it little unique because the torque makes it docile and very streetable compared to a couple other bikes, but it just makes it a hard buy to justify especially for a second bike.

    I've had my Carbon R for two years now. Put on a Toce exhaust, remapped it and race air filter. I'm telling y you this thing is STUPID with the mods! The only downsides are fuel range (90-100 miles between fill-ups) and it's not a good long trip bike. I can only last about e hours before my knees want to fall off my legs.
