You gotta drive a base model, they're exceptionally good. I was going to buy one, a d then I got a shot at a 2022 Ftr r carbon with 2067 miles for $13,000. So I bought that. I'm a hard core sport rider with 40yrs. of riding experience, and a 2010 zx10 r in the garage. I would have been happy with the base one...go ride it😊
I absolutely love my 2023 FTR 1200 Sport... Why nobody is throwing it into the naked shootouts baffles me. I kick the absolute shit out of MT-09's, Z-900's, Triumph Street Triples, KTM 890's, and more...... Plus the fact that it is the sexiest bike in class...
Hell yeah those FTR's are monsters on the street! Not sure about on track though. If they weren't over 500lbs, they'd be a solid contender in the naked sport bike class. Those middleweight naked's are nearly 100lbs lighter 😆
I like that you continued to change your opinion as you rode. With an exhaust and a tune, these are great bikes. My '22 Carbon is a blast in the twisties and around town too. The stock fueling sucks. That motor feels like a work of art with just a PV tune.

I rode an FTR last year, I'm only 5 foot 8 inches with a 31 inch inseam and I could flat foot it. Awesome bike, handles well, comfortable, and the power delivery is addictive... loads of fun!

Get yourself a tune and cat-delete with slip on and this bike is soooooo easy to wheelie in the first 3 gears.
It's a real hooligan bike! 🤘 one of the only flat-track inspired street bikes out there
Iz it True ; that H.D.Sabotaged, Ndian -Name ,brand = Bak N the 1950'z.
Cycle=Ndian/H.D.;&Bike=Schwinn.
Now i have different images in my head whenever someone says "Sport Bike" 😂
The bike is awsome but I would never buy one due to the small tank size.

Range is about average really. I’ve gotten about 50-51mpg over the first 1600 miles so far. I’m sure it’ll improve slightly after a few thousand miles but really the range is no more of an issue than on my MT-07 or on an MT-09
