    thx for the great review!!! I just test drove a 2019 FTR - R (which is now called the Carbon) just to get a feel for the FTRs. WOW! What a bike! The power was unbelievable. I've got a 2022 Pursuit and a 2022 Honda CB500X. I'll be adding the 2023 FTR Carbon when they come to Portugal next month!!! The Pursuit for the long touring, the Honda for the day to day grocery runs with all the panniers and top case, and now the PURE FUN AS F*CK FTR Carbon!!!

    Top review I want the ftr in my garage love how there seems to be hardly any traffic. The only niggle I'd have is the fuel tank capacity.

    • @timothy9596
      @timothy9596 Год назад

      I just picked up the 2022 FTR Carbon and although the fuel mileage isn't all that great if you take your time and carefully fill it up to the bottom of the plastic filler, the range will go up to 139. But you will only get that if you take it easy. The whole point of this bike for me is to have a blast so with a full tank, I'm seeing about 115ish and usually stopping for gas around 100 miles which isn't as bad as I've been led to believe by reviewers. One thing is for certain, if you buy this bike, you will not regret it.

    I have a 2019 base model and am happy with it in my area. (MA.) Do you think an after market quick shift kit would be worth the money to try? There is one brand that has a down shift throttle "Blip" option that adds about $600 to the price. What is your opinion on this. It's one thing this bike is missing compared to every other similar bike.

    The reason the 1200 seems so big in that frame is that the frame was originally set up for the competition-only Indian 750 cc motor used with resounding success by the Wrecking Crew in flat-track racing. A lot of us have been waiting ever since this bike came on the market for Indian to introduce a detuned 750 version for the street...

      @@BendApparatus got the xsr 900. Just because of the price (best bang for the buck).
      Wife wanted me to buy the 2024 FTR R carbon while I liked the 2023 because I could save $3.5k but I'm not ready to shell out $17k on a bike yet. So settled on $10,500 OTD on XSR 900 2023

    • @BendApparatus
      @BendApparatus 4 месяца назад

      @@here2enjoy-bt8jq 🤔 Makes sense.
      Is the 900 your 1st bike? I mean you literally CAN'T go wrong with a Yamaha.
      My 1st bike was a Street Triple. Which is somewhat similar to what the xsr 7 and 9 are now.
      I love the looks of both the xsr 7 and 9
      To me the xsr9 is the spiritual successor to the V-Max. A futuristic muscle bike.
      But I made the mistake of getting a Buell XB9SX... basically a mini naked with a near 1k cc V-twin...
      Now...all...bikes...must...be... V-TWIN..!
      I can't afford Ducati...
      So it's between a ftr or sportster...(used of course since I basically destroy everything I touch).
      I love the look of the ftr but I feel it's a bit too heavy and tall...the sportster is basically the new version of the XB9SX (xb12 really) but I'd rather content with Indian's slight less premium name discount than the "Harley" name.
      Enjoy the 9! Be careful and not underestimate it...the 9 is basically a nked supersport... it'll try to kill you 1st chance it gets....😅

    • @BendApparatus
      @BendApparatus 4 месяца назад +1

      @@here2enjoy-bt8jq my reply got deleted because I jokingly/playfully insinuated the xsr9 would try to end you...🤦🏻‍♂️
      I'm getting tired of these censor bots man...
      Anyways, I'm looking for something to replace an XB9SX which is a 400lb mini naked with a 1k (984cc) V-Twin.
      So for me it's between the ftr and new sportster...I like the look of the ftr better but feel it's a bit too heavy and tall...but I like the Harley premium mark up even less...
      Enjoy the xsr9 and stay careful if it's your 1st bike... that's a lot of power.

    Hey, Greg. Some reviewers talk about fueling or some throttle issues, not sure exactly but they explained it like some kind of bad throtle response: you get off the throttle, the bike takes a second to respond and in some cases, without imput from rider, it goes back in and accelerates. Idk if i explained it like they did, but someone in the comments section said the same thing. Sounds very dangerous. What is your take on this issue?
    Thanks! Great content!

I like keeping things simple, I don't like the digital screen, the warning that pops up, or the delay that it seems to have when reading the RPMS. I also don't care much for having all sorts of riding modes...I have 1 mode...it's called "Go" mode.
