You just solved my "Artifacts" (on my older Insta 360 OneR) problem for me. The "Sharpness" setting was the problem. I've been wondering how to fix this for a while. Thank you very very much! 👍🏻
Thanks for the video. Learned a thing or two, okay maybe three or more 😅 Especially thanks for explaining the Kelvin amounts for sunny, clouded, indoor and low light situations 👍 I've always struggled with those.
Thanks for all the information! It's a very different way of thinking shooting with the 360 lense compared to a normal gopro hero which I have been using the past years. Great vid!
Nicely done 👍👍, very informative. I’ve been thinking about getting a Insta360 camera. Just don’t want to get the camera and not have time to figure it out (software, etc). My time management has been bad. I find myself with less and less time to edit my GoPro & drone footage . Would hate to get it and it just sit there.
I recently got you car mount and did a similar shot to the one you did with the bridge, however, the stitch line while looking up over head at the cables was slightly off, how did you avoid this! Thanks for the awesome tips.
30fps not always the best or “smoothest” option, you’ll need to consider that with shutter speed and anti-flicking frequency, and of course, the final outcome of your project, if your project is going to be 25fps, there is no point to shoot at 30 fps for the 360 footage.
Great video except you always end up using Premiere Pro when Insta Studio will do the job and it's free not like the extortionate amount that Adobe charge
Disagree. I use log only. Much better results for high contrast, low light scenes. I used standard in the beginning and I personally did not like the results. Couldn't do much about contrast and color afterwards.
Wow! We learnt a lot from your video! Thank you so very much for taking the time to make this tutorial! I have one question, We don't have Adobe Primere Pro nor FinalCut. Can We still edit Insta360 files using the Insta Studio 2022 4.0.0 on our PC (Windows)?
Lol - "log should be avoided at all cost". Log should only be used all the time to get maximum DR that doesn't create artifacts in post and color grading. That should be like the #1 tip to improving video quality
Thank you! Quick question..if the camera is 6k and therefore 3k per lens, how can you export in the studio software to 4k? Is the software upgrading? Also when will the one x3 be launched?
Excellent video as always. Couple of questions - will the export settings in the video using Insta360 Studio create the same quality exported video as the settings you advise for Premiere Pro? Secondly I purchased a Best360 selfie stick and four of your counter weights a while ago - they are excellent. Any plans to release an extended 3m selfie stick?
Hi Nigel - first of all thank you for your support! 😀. Yes you should get similar video quality output from Insta360 Studio and Premiere Pro. I've been looking into making a 3m extended selfie stick, but haven't quite figured out how to keep it completely rigid yet. Still working on it in the background 👍
@@Best360 Yes I know. But if you think like that, then you should only export in like 1080, because that is kind of the quality the video comes out in with regular croping of the video. So I still say, why not export in 6K so the video gets a chance to be as good as it can in all different croping of the video......if you understand what I mean. 😉
@@NiclasLinden I have done an experiment exporting a test shot in 1080p, 4k, and 6k. 4k video looked better than 1080p video. 6k video did not have any better quality than 4k and the file sizes were larger. So in my test there was no gain to exporting 6k video 👍🏽
I see you're not posting many actual 360 videos recently, but have you noticed/know anything about YT removing the 2880s (and 2880p for that matter) since 1 July? No-one seems to have any info.. it's just gone. Any insider info on your end?
Hi i’ve been using a One X and recently upgraded to One Inch 360. For both cameras when I edit / reframe and export from my mobile app, the quality looks good. But the max resolution is HD When I use the desktop studio, the export quality seems very bad, even with 75mbps or 100mbps bit rate. I’m not sure if i cropped too much during the reframing, i used the default options / views and didnt zoom in further Also for desktop studio there doesnt seem to be preset options for HD or 4K etc. i have to manually enter the resolution for myself. Would you know what’s the best options for the 2 issues I have? Thanks alot!
Prores is better quality but it eats up hard drive space extremely quickly. So I prefer h265 which is a compromise between video quality and file size. If you like the quality you see at the beginning of the video then h265 is good enough. You won’t notice the difference between h265 and prores on a mobile screen 👍🏽
Funny things Cameras before 2022 less weight monopod more lite in 2022 camera more heavy and make monopod for this counterweight and make more heavy)) really live is in circle)
The audio is so terrible that you can not walk and record video on a selfie stick Without It sounds like you are chewing on the mic. Is this only my device or Is it really this bad?
Awesome video! Great shots and awesome locations! Thanks for the tips on the new cam, Shanil!
Я тебя люблю чувак! Благодаря только тебе мечтаю прикупить такую камеру для своих влогов!
Bonsoir, et merci pour cette vidéo et tous ces conseils

Thank you! Yea i would say it takes much longer to make a reframed 360 video, than editing standard action camera footage.
I recently got you car mount and did a similar shot to the one you did with the bridge, however, the stitch line while looking up over head at the cables was slightly off, how did you avoid this! Thanks for the awesome tips.
In insta360 studio, play with the stitching options. Try dynamic / optical flow and see which one works best. Hopefully that’ll sort it out 😃👍🏽
Thanks for the reply! I’ve surgically adjusted every stitching option and no luck. I’ve contacted them insta, maybe it’s my camera..

i agree with you , but 24 fps better for low light better two

How about versus s23 Ultra. Which the Best video quality ?
Awesome video, thanks. Why do we not select full bitrate but only 100?
You can go higher if you want to but I find this bitrate good enough for RUclips and a good compromise between video quality and storage space
Standard profile is better than log on this camera in my opinion.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥👌
Thanks! How large are the filesizes of the captured video ? And do I need a 2nd battery?
It records 6k @120mbps. I think one battery is enough. And then use a powerbank from time to time to charge in between breaks
how to erase lens connection on video?
How did you get this stabilized footage? Mine looks crap, shakey and not a good video quality
It’s straight out of the camera stabilised for me. I film at 6k30

You can but you can only edit 1 shot at a time, it's not a multi-shot editor 👍

Thanks for this. If you were exporting a 360 video in the studio for 360 what bitrate would you suggest?
120mbps. Which is what the 1 inch 360 originally records 360 video in 👍🏽
@@Best360 Thanks
Use ProRes to export. Then bitrate is irrelevant.
@@nowandrew4442 Then the file size is too big and i cant watch it on my desktop. I have a powerful computer but never been able to watch prores files.

The 360 video is 6k overall. I just reframe the 6k for a 4k timeline. Because a 4k output looks better than a 1080p output

Reframe 4k resolution? Is it work? I remember that when I reframe videos, 1080p is best and maximum quality. Even you can not choose 4k on mobile app.
You can export in 4k in insta360 studio and 1080p on the app
May I ask why you choose to expoert in 4K instead of 6K from insta360 studio?
I mean, the camera films in 6K and not 4K.
Because 6K is the entire 360 video. I am only exporting a section out of that entire 6k video.

Hi Bro. Thank you for the video. I have insta360 one R, but if I export the image the quality is not HD or a bit blur. Do you have an idea?

Who is the manufacture of that counterweigth?
Best360
why sometimes the video image became distorted when walking or rotating the camera? Obviously happen during low light. How to avoid that?
This was very extreme low light scenario. I believe noise reduction kicks in and softens the footage. And compression makes it worse too

Possibly cropping in too much causing quality loss. Yea Insta360 Studio does not have any presets, but I think you can save your own presets now 👍
@@Best360 thanks!
Why don’t you export in HiRes from Studio?
I personally find the file sizes too large to maintain so I stick to h265, which I think is good enough for RUclips
@@Best360 ok - have to try it… for the OneX2, IMHO, it’s a must… but might be better with the 1inch.

How come you chose h.265 when everybody else say that one should use ProRes 422 for the best quality?

Edit in ProRes. Export the final version for upload/distribution in h265. Delete the Prores files after final rendering.

Try switch the audio to stereo mode instead of wind noise reduction
