Epic filming ideas ✅
thanks for creating this video, I think you did a great job and pointing out the pros and cons! I have the one x2 and I feel like the possibilities are endless! I enjoy creating vlogs and trying new angles/shots. there were some shot ideas that you showed here that I would love to try, so thank you for putting this together and sharing with us 😁
Now this is something really interesting. it can be used in many other areas, not only this type of action.
A big thank you TF !!!
Happy new year 🎆
wow, incredible! great intro to Insta360! and creative uses, amazing!
Really enjoyed this video and found it easy to follow. Thanks for the great tips!
I've been looking for a video like this for a long time!
Thanks a lot for this vid. I've been researching a lot some intros in the world of 360cameras, and now will make the purchase decision to go with the 1-INCH model + the 3Meter long selfie stick.
Thank you for doing this video. I just bought 3 360 X2's to try to better the event filming that I'm doing. I can't wait for them to come in the mail to start filming
This is what i waiting for...Hope more toturials like this.
Wonderful stuff Sir... Excellent to follow Just what i was looking for!!
Great video!, thanks!
You didn't cover the big issue when intercutting: the small sensor set to "vivid" will have a completely different look than the dSLR. How do you do the color grading?
learnt much. Thank you!
What a video❤ Fantastic 🔥
The best I’ve seen on the Insta 360 1inch.
Great info! Thanks
Thanks for the ideas my fellows filmmakers, success for all ofl you!
I love this camera, I currently use it for my overhead on billiards videos.
Very useful video. Am gonna use it!
Wow, great shots of Camp North End / Charlotte
This was a great video, I think ill rent it and take it from there. Thank you.
Wow so amazing💯
That video is awesome! I gotta convince our boss to buy one.
Yes great points, thank you. Subscribed. Have a same camera. Using Bushmaster V2 monopod, was afrad to use 3 m stick (Insta360 not recommend for 1 inch 360), but I see lots of guys use it... Also in limited lighting started using 24 sh per sec . And ... in good lighting still use AUTO mode.
Perfect timing. I got a x3 and it's fun but the quality is a bit rough
Thanks for your review it adds a filmmaking perspective to the use of the insta360 Leica cam. 3 years ago everyone trying to do fake drone shots was useing an Action cam + small gimbal + monopod for it. Since gopro now has 10bit 5k + reelsteady stabilisation maybe it would be interesting to do a head to head comparison between Leica insta360 and gopro 11 + hohem isteady gimbal both on the 3m Insta360 selfie stick what do you think?
Smoothest moonwalk in another person's shoes ever! Great job
Amazing
Amazing camera
Good stuff
Beautiful Camp North End!
Much love ❤️ from Uganda 🇺🇬🔥❤️
You catch incredible views with it, so funny and successful...
Very nice. Did you use an external mic, if so would you share the type? Thanks.
With the RS, do you also have the option to add a Rode Go2 mic on the side like the X3? I wonder if you could conduct an interview with this on the desktop, and edit it, so it looks like two cameras - future video suggestion? It would simply things for a one-person crew.
I see you are shooting in Charlotte. I live in Clover. I have been thinking about buying one of those. I think it would be a good fit for my Bikeweek and Biketoberfest videos at Daytona Beach. If you are in the mood, you should head down there in March and check it out. It's a blast.
Great video. I see your using the Extended Edition Selfie Stick. Do you need to modify it in any way? The Insta360 website says the 1-inch 360 is excluded from the compatibility list? Thanks.
i liked this
I've never used a 360 camera before but they are becoming more and more tempting...
HEY great chanel guys, I was wondering what editing software are you using when talking about editing using this 360 camera? Is it expensive software? thank you
Bravo👏👏👏
Nice camera👌👌👌👌👌
Thank you that was a very useful and informative video. I have two questions :
1) you said that cropping the image to have it as little distorted as possible shrinks it from 6k to about 1080 but then when you exported from the insta360 software you did in 4k with a cropped image... Is that because the image wasn't that cropped ?
2) I want to buy an insta360 but I'm also considering buying a stabilizer for the DSLR that I already have and that shoots 1080. Do you think buying a stabilizer is pointless if i get the insta360 ?
Thanks
Those basketball shots look REALLY FUZZY!
How to achieve this effect? This motion blur? Hard post?
Hey Justus, you should totally do a video on the Mac Studio for editing. Just a recommendation. 😉
How's your luck with using lens guards on these things because I've just learned to not use 'em anymore since they scratch easily and muck up the image with fogging sometimes too.
I have the X3 and been learning how to use the Insta360 Studio since the GoPro Reframe plugin crashes Premiere Pro constantly. I can recreate the crashing when using just my laptop with no external monitors (HDMI or Display Port). So frustrating. So now I do all the '360' edits with the Studio app then export as H.265 .mp4. Then I bring into Premiere.
Was this shot in downtown Charlotte? I feel like I recognize some of these places. I was there in August.
What settings are you used filmmaking a basketball? I see a blur... Hard posprocessing? Do you recommend 50fps but low resolution for render? I think the impression that the video is not smooth at 25 fps
Where can i find the insta 360 app you showed in the video what does the icon look like?
Nice summary- thank you. I’m really considering getting this camera and you really helped.
What’s still confusing me is the max export resolution. Earlier you mentioned you could export 16:9 framing in 1080, and then you manually set the export value to 4k. So it shoots at 6k but export at half or quarter of that?
Not the author of this video, but both are correct. If you use the phone app, it only lets you export at 1080, or 1440 if you use the story function. The computer app here also for some reason exports at 1080 as a preset, but you can override that and export as 4k as he did in this video. So you can export in 4k, you just have to manually set the resolution to it and you can only do it on a computer.
Insta 360 as a plugins for premier that makes workflow much better Just a tip
Its still crazy to me how the camera erases its Selfie stick from the footage.
It doesn’t erases its selfie stick, it has a blind spot where the stick is so that it stays hidden
@@strato023so how can you see the hand that’s holding it?
@@strato023 it does erase it and replace it with background. No blindspot pther wise it couldn't be calles 360.
Wrong!
INSTA360 Marketing material: Falling in the blind spot between the camera's two lenses, the Invisible Selfie Stick disappears automatically in the shot, enabling anyone to capture drone-like angles.
@@strato023 isn’t that on the stitch line so it uses software to blend it out. You can see fingers around the stick so it must be a very precise blind spot
Can you watch these videos in a Meta Quest 2 and have it feel like a regular VR video?
What’s the model of the extended selfie stick you use?
Wouldn't you set it on auto if you mount in on a bike for a ride around town?
There's a free plugin for Davinci Resolve that lets you import the 360 footage and blend the clip with other video.
What's the name of the plugin, and where can I download it?
@@williamcousert did you find it?
Somebody please tell me if i can use Insta 360 to shoot like a normal camera, like a phone or a GoPro using a 360.
Budget or convenience only allows one camera for short movies.
Performance mode- what does it mean in App insta360?
Love it! Can you use it with DaVinci Resolve software instead? Thanks👍
Late comment I know. Yes you can export the 360 image and edit in DR, but it's much easier to with the insta desktop software and then import the edited footage into DR. Annoyingly the cool ai effects are only available on the phone app, and that doesn't allow the same quality export as the desktop.
Insta needs to give us the tools on the desktop, especially as my pc is far more powerful than my phone, it would save me a lot of time waiting to see if the ai edit is worth keeping....
Yes, enkarta plug in gives you 360 edit capability, it's not as smooth as the oem desktop software...at first , until you get the hang of it- no tracking though, all key frame.
I would also suggest running the final export through topaz AI and upscaling the video to 4K. It makes a massive difference.
what do you mean - isn`t Insta studio enough?
Can I export to 50fps for smoother footage and then upscaling the video to 4k????
@@rotorfpv4117 yes
How do you get it back to 360? I'm literally looking into this right now? Seems the only way is injecting it back into it....
what phone you are using
One huge word of advice: you were filming next to the train power lines. Never, ever forget that the stick acts as an ideal electricity transmitter. This could get you killed in an instance!
Plastic should stop the electricity isn’t?
@@amathma I believe that's carbon fiber. It's not plastic. On my stick, it's a big sign about that!
The ultimate spray and pray device.
Some of us can accomplish those same shots with one lens haha 😂
Hi Boss, i just brought Insta360, can u suggest me which laptop i have to use?? Plzzz
Can I use their app to make my whole RUclips video?
Dude the sky at 6:42 shows how the lens captures so much of the front curved lens it's weird
I'm confused, how are you able to get this quality without ND?
I have a 2012 Honda Civic myself; great model lol
I think you need to leave ok at the newer Insta360 X3 that released a few months ago...
Can the fisheye be canceled optionally?
Does anybody use this camera model with a Micro SD V90 UHS-II? Does anybody tried and tested that exact type of memory micro SD? Thank you guys.
Keren
Shout out to Charlotte 🙌🙌🙌 you mentioned different scenes you’d recommend for this camera. As a DJ, would you say it’s good for capturing events, some nightlife, and Panther game day? Thanks! Cheers 🍻
It's trash quality in low light. Get two camera setup.
First 🇮🇳
I think I heard the word 'cinematic' more than any other word on RUclips in 2022... I hope 2023 brings a new word... Otherwise, great video! love the camera, I am using it sparingly for a few projects!
It truly is terrible how often this word is being used. People think by solely using this word they become real film makers or something. Just awful.
Not sure what this has to do with serious cinematic filmmaking as 1080 footage will not cut it. Rather surprised you didnt talk about using something like Topaz Video AI to upscale footage as a way of getting something slightly more useable for film making.
Does Topaz Ai really help? My credo is, you cannot make good butter out of shit🙈
@@AG-do13 The resoluton of a section taken from a section of a 360 5k insta360 equence is going to be quite low resolution. Topaz may well be the best option to upscale what may well be less than a 1080 cropped section. Sure its not ideal but hell, what else is there?
Since when is serious and professional film making related to resolution? And can we please please stop this stupid word "cinematic"? Can't hear it no more. Sorry man.
I've been looking for a while for an example video of the natural view 16:9. Everyone seems to avoid it so there's literally no examples of it on RUclips. I'd really appreciate it if you could make an example video of the 16:9 natural view. Or hopefully someone else might see this and do it. Thanks anyway.
If you work with video I could send you a 360 video that you could do it yourself on?
@@UH82NVME I have already tried it out now. But thanks for the offer. 😊
Imagine if a film like Gladiator was filmed with that camera.. lol I bet it would’ve been a lot more awesome
better quality than gopro ?
If it's a 16:9 crop from 6k down to 1080 would the 120mbps also be cropped down by the same percentage per 180 degree side? 6K pixels/ 1080 pixels (6144*3160)/1920*1080)=9.36 times. So 120/9.36 is 12.82mbps?? Someone check my math, of how the spec is called out. That bit rate would be terrible for a final 16:9 for any commercial work.
sad that this camera hasnt active hdr. it has problem with shadows/dark areas
i liked the video, but maybe let people know that it has "2" 1-inch type sensors.
Ummm... how good is the audio quality?
Hi everybody! Why companies do not make 360 cameras with a larger sensor, like 4/3, "1.5 crops", or"full frame"? The more professional camera makes the result more professional looking and the company makes more money on sales. It is so obvious.
So, they have a problem with little green dot lens flare like the iPhone? Yikes. That took my interest down a bit.
Ah no, i have this camera, and it maybe be able to be used for quick speciality shots, but not for most shots. I was pretty underwelmed by this camera.
I find i can get similar shots with a gimbal and monopod + a mounted mirrorless camera and a wide angle lens. You get a much better picture. Of course not quite as dramatic as the 360 camera.
You still need good light for this camera.
👍👍

It’s cool but even though it’s a 5k or 6k image for 360 it ends up being such low quality which sucks
Thats what topaz video enhance is for
Is this camera worth the $800 bucks ?
Insta360 owe you commission for 1 extended selfie stick :D
you got some stuff wrong... The insta360 X2 and X3 are waterproof. and if you switch settings to single sided recording, you can still get 3k res
*Insta 360 is the future as AI*

360 video is still nitches but I'm really fasnating.
That shot at 4:05 is a fkin violation
You're mentioning "DSLR mirrorless": there is NO such thing - Digital Single Lens Reflex camera is one that is equipped with a (moving) mirror that reflects the image/light that is "seen" by the lens and then sends it to the viewfinder (before this light ''hits'' the sensor), whereas the mirrorless is, technically, DSLM.
Lol "it's better to under expose than over expose" can be said about every digital camera ever made
its funny, I bought a 16mm film camera and the exact opposite is true. blows me away
@@flipnap2112 right? Opposite for film. Under expose digital. Over expose film. It makes sense when you think about how film grain works vs pixels
@@beardedbarnstormer9577 ha ha so weird. but yeah shooting digital I always go flat and religiously use my histogram. nothing more frustrating than getting crushed values and thats that. sucks
