    Hi Jeremy, thank you for the great video and instructions. I live in the south Florida area and also do real estate videos. Unfortunately I try using this but dynamic range is very bad, this camera does hdr pictures but not hdr video like the less expensive X3. I really need good DR, because I need to see the views of the water from inside and with this camera doesn’t work. I’ll say it’s good if you don’t need to show views from inside, it definitely is faster way to film and edit. I don’t do any interiors with this but I have use it for some exteriors and using the extended pole when I’m not aloud to fly the drone to use it as a low flight scenes

    I recently discovered real estate photography as a potential new venture/ side gig for myself, and your videos have been very inspiring and insightful. I'm no stranger to editing, however 360 footage is new to me. After a little over a week of research, it's really starting to seem like this one camera and a few of the accessories you've used can get just about everything done. Walkthrough videos, 3d tours including a matterport scan, and even finding and exporting still images directly from the 360 footage... Even your video on simulating drone shots seemed convincing.
    Now all I need is to find a way to afford all the gear I need 😂
    An upgraded laptop couldn't hurt either.

      I think trying to find a way to afford the gear we want is a big struggle for all of us, even those like me who have been doing it for years. All I can say is to follow the advice I try to live by, only buy it with an affiliate code... 🤣
      But seriously, take the time to really think about any serious purchase and you will always come to the right decision.

    This video is giving me the Insta 360 ONE RS itch. But I don't have the $800 to spend on a new 360, got to be satisfied with just my little 'ol Ricoh SC2 for now. And I see that the Insta 360 Studio software only works with Insta 360 cameras (a couple years ago I remember using the desktop app to edit a Ricoh SC2 video. It looks like they closed the door on non-Insta 360 cameras). But!.... There is a work-around by using Cyberlink PowerDirector's app to do the same kind of keyframing of views of a 360 video into a 2D video. If you don't have PowerDirector, you can usually find a one-year subscription to their PowerDirector 365 desktop app on eBay for about $45. That's a cheaper way to get into using your 360 camera for walk-through videos, save up some cash and move up to the ONE RS 1-inch. (I am sure the quality of the video and the simple workflow are $uperior). Thanks for taking time to share your process for creating a 360 video walkthrough. It looks like a good option to a gimbal/smartphone or gimbal/DLSR video that likely has a simpler workflow.

  • @AnthonySpencer

    Have you tried doing this on the iPad app using the Orbit tool? Just seems so much more natural. You physically hold the iPad and move it around and the gyros record the movements. Setting all the keyframes manually is pretty cumbersome and time consuming.

    • @jeremydeihl
      @jeremydeihl  Год назад +2

      I have actually tried it using an iPad, the DJI Osmo, the Feiyutech Pocket, and a few other less known brands. The problem with those comes down to image quality and stabilization. The iPad sucks with auto exposure and color when moving from room to room and has 0 stabilization built into it so the video is jerky and full of unwanted movement. All the other devices I tested had a better time with stability than the iPad, but they all had worse quality in low light and again horrible auto adjustments on the fly. So can you use an iPad? Sure, will it look good without a gimbal, definitely not. It's the stabilization and auto adjustments from this camera in particular that make this so easy on site. I used to do these with my A7iv, but it takes 4x the setup time and then I have a lot of post production afterwards. I personally like this camera because the video you are watching in this example took me exactly 6:32 on site to produce, and 8:56 to produce and export at home. It's the time saver of no gimbal required and super easy editing that makes this worth it for me,

    • @AnthonySpencer
      @AnthonySpencer Год назад +1

      @@jeremydeihl I think you misunderstood me. I mean use the Orbit tool in the Insta360 iPad app with the footage you shot on the Insta360 camera. You load the clip into the Insta360 app, select the Orbit tool, and physically “fly” the iPad (like literally stand in an open space and maneuver the iPad around to choose your camera angles with your hands while you rotate around) and the Insta360 app tracks your camera angles and zoom ins/outs and records them as one fluid key frame. You can do it with all the other Insta360 models (I just don’t know about the 1” footage” - I can’t find anything on it and don’t have the 1” yet).
