Jeez! Usually, your videos are entertaining, yet contain a nugget of information that is helpful, but about every 6-7 videos, you put out a video that makes me actually take notes because the ENTIRE video is a lesson on how to create better content. Thank you.
What an honest video!! Sincerely you're one of those very few people who I guess is not afraid to share secrets and ideas about how these new technologies work/function and how to use them. Many treat all these things like top secret stuff and make you feel like if they're the only ones who have the absolute right to create stuff.

Ive had this thought since one of the first 360 cameras came out cuz I was a broke college kid and being creative on a budget... why not vlog with ONE 360 camera instead of buying all this additional gear for "the perfect shot/resolution"? Im happy you made this video!!!

Thanks! I bought this camera some time ago ... realized it was beyond my skill level ... then bought the X3 which helped my knowledge of both shooting and editing ... so now, back to this camera and working on what story do I want to tell as well as how to technique-ly tell it well.

Thank you so much! This camera is an absolute beast! Paired with a drone and the DJI mics, it kinda almost makes dslr and traditional mirrorless cameras obsolete for vlogging and social media creators.
Cameras have really evolved in the last few years. So much potential in such small cameras
@@JevenDovey It very much has! The biggest problem I would think about 360 cameras is the fisheye effect/distortion which curves anything at the side of the screen, I hope there's a solution.

But I think a couple of my ideas are linked to each other, so I am not sure if I can put the two topics together on one channel or if they are better on separate channels. Difference between cuts from professional camera (drone footage) and the Insta are night and day. On a 4k HDR monitor Insta is hard to watch even w/its 1" sensor.
Another great film, was looking at one of these cameras. Just got the wireless mic to try. Couple of years back started watching you on getting my mini 2. Just been approached by a TV company to use some drone footage on a new series, keep up the great education.

Now I' more tempted to get one after watching this video. We're maybe a week away from a new GoPro so I will be holding off, but unless GoPro comes out with a 1" sensor I might go for the Insta360. Good video!

Thanks for a very informative video, I have learnt more here then weeks looking at others. I am an old guy from Australia and have now subscribed to learn more about vlogging. I am buying a 360x3 as I am not tech savy and this seems to me the easiest. I am going to start a channel, my kids think I am mad, but I have a story to tell and I want to tell it differently and with your help I will.
I just got mine last week. Overall it's "ok" image quality....but it suffers from SEVERE noise reduction artifacts. Somebody at Insta-360 decided to add GOBBS and GOBBS of massive, extreme noise reduction processing. They scrubbed it right down into a soupy, waxy water color painting. Intsa-360....for the love of God...PLEASE give us the ability to dial back that noise reduction and allow some noise, texture and detail back into this image. PLEASE! It's not hard to do. Just give is an "Image over-processing - on/off" button and allow us to dial your noise reduction back to 50%. This would be a WAY better camera if they allowed that.
i'm also considering getting the one rs over the gp10. did you notice this processing only on the 1-in sensor, or also on the other two lenses?

If you haven’t already, turn the sharpening down to low or medium. Helped dramatically with artifacting. I thought mine was defective before I did this.

Each time, you managed to keep me the full length of the video… that’s a great work in concept to execution proof. This one particular video is an absolute killer and you nailed it perfectly to sell what you wanted to tell.
I am in plans for X3 and a little bit confused on the image quality out of the camera. How good it is ? And efforts to learn the insta 360 software to work with clips. I am newbie to 360 world… though into mirrorless cameras and GoPros.
I’ll stick to my OnE X2. It works for what I do now. The new cameRa is good for low light and professional use. Damn that price tag n replacement costs though?

Just got the camera and accessories…I thought the Wireless mic approach was kind of ridiculous…but it works well. I went with the Rode Wireless Go II. Not my favorite mic system, but works here. I’m really looking for minimalist approaches to making corporate/pro projects without dragging around a big cinema rig.

Jeven....awesome video on using the 1" 360...but more so on the context of how the Base was used during world War 2. Watching this makes me want to do a "vlogumentary" on hoe the Americans and Japanese fought over my island during the same war.

In the workflow section you say you send back the video from final cut pro to insta360 desktop app to do things like tracking, is it just a simple export of the final cut project or do you export it in a specific format?

I put the regular Insta 360 go x2 on my head w a lil stick, do ucthink that new one rs is too heavy for that. the audio on mine is terrible thats why I want 1 of those. can u dangle this on a head camera?

I may need to change my Mac book Pro in order to do the 4K first. Then I can use insta 360 for reframe. Thank you for sharing your video. One thing that I saw is the development of this camera is still going on and they did not finish yet. Still need to keep an ear on.

This could be a very useful camera for my channel. I make 4x4 content (travel and trails), will make it easy to film on the go. Quick question, what a about the stitch line? Would there a a specific way the angle the lense? In one of the shots I can see your hand looks a bit weird (obviously since it is in the area where the line is).
