- 🎦 About This Video:
There's been a change of plans. Instead of increasing the dose of Decadron again, we'll try a new anti-nausea/anti-vomiting medication as well as a powerful laxative for a few days. If it works, we'll stick with that. If not, we'll go with the oncologists' approach and increase the dose.
▶️ About This Channel:
I've always been a storyteller. I've written hundreds of short stories and multiple books, but I always sensed I was meant to share a different story.
MY story.
I wasn't sure what that was until I was diagnosed with STAGE 4 Alveolar Soft Part Sarcoma (a SUPER rare type of cancer for which there is NO CURE).
I decided to embrace my motto of Living Out Loud and started sharing my journey in vlog format.
This is my story. Real. Raw. Unfiltered.

Bless your heart ❤ I totally agree, it seems like the doctors are just throwing mud at a wall with me. It’s so frustrating, you just want to feel better and be able to enjoy things. I’m sending you so much love and positive healing prayers always xxx❤🙏💪
Educated guessing....I find most doctors I have dealt with is what they do. Referrals to specialists, testing, MRI, CT scan, blood tests. Unfortunately it can be a long process to get the help we need right now. Glad palliative care is involved as they can help manage your symptoms. Hope the next few days go smoothly for you 🙏
I’m so glad you got connected with palliative care. I have a strong feeling you will be very happy you did.
Am glad there is this new development. Palliative Care is usually good at managing symptoms like these which is necessary for you to get back on track. You need to do that first before you can beat this disease.
Totally agree with your realisation of the trial and error of thr medical system.
I am just happy that you have got palliative care involved.I seriously hope he has helped. I agree - guessing game.
Listen to your drs but always trust your own gut. No one knows you better than you. You truly are an amazing person and I am so thankful for you and your positivity. Stay strong my friend. You are loved and appreciated.❤🙏❤️🙏
One of the side effects of having cancer is different degrees of fatigue or lethargy.
Oh yes, palliative care doctor sounds good! I hope new medications help!❤️
Prayers that the next few days brings more comfort for you.
One of my oncology nurses told me that cancer treatment is as you say, just trying different treatments to see what might work. I had 6 months of the most brutal type of chemo you can have last year, literally nearly killed me, only to be told after it was finished that it didn’t work. The entire time I was on it, my then stage 3 cancer was growing and spreading… hence why my cancer is now stage 4. I was upset about it and the nurse just fobbed me off, casually saying that “well this is what cancer treatments are like. Trial and error. No one knows for sure what will work. We work on percentage chances.” 😣
Hope the new treatment works 🙏❤
I hope this works. I’m optimistic! You look good G.
My immunotherapy medication tends to make me extremely tired, even though I continue to re to have a hard time sleeping. It’s so frustrating. Glad you’re home, mon ami 😉
You needed a new plan. Hope this gives you respite. Only then can you move fwd.
Medical PRACTICE...practice...spot on
Drs can’t fix everybody sad fact I know. Hope the new meds help. Wish you had someone there with you. Much love and light always. 💙💙💙✨✨✨
Sorry prayers!!! 🙏🕊️
I really hope your quality of life will improve very soon
Good luck, hopefully this will help you. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
You are so correct. Guessing game! Hope this plan works!!! Get well. Cancer survivor Kathy Erie pa
There is definitely an overbelief in general that doctors will be able to fix whatever it is. And I think doctors are just as frustrated about that as they have to face those expectations.
Thank you for being you and sharing so much with us. I love your spunk and attitude.. your positivity is so important. Always follow your gut feelings. Having palliative care involved with your meds is awesome as they aren’t afraid to help you manage your symptoms. I am sure it feels good to be home. Take good care of you. Please keep us updated and know there’s lot’s of prayers, love and positivity coming your way. Until next video take good care of you.
Sending you a vibe and a five 👍Thanks for sharing with us..
I hope this new plan works for you. You do seem more perky. Sending prayers love and hugs from Normandy France.
Enjoy, relax.
Best wishes that the new meds keep you from throwing up !!😊😊😊
Most anti-nausea meds can have some sort of sedating effect but most people say it wears off the longer you take the medication.
Usually palliative care will be better at controlling your symptoms like nausea and pain than typical medical doctors so it’s great you have them on your team now too.
Hope you the medication change works well for you.
Good news then. Sending you some great ,positive ideas. Let's hope this new plan is the one!!
So glad to see that you are feeling a little better G 😀 I pray for strength for you and for better days 🤩
Stay strong. Hope they have a good plan.
Yayyyy, I’m so happy you’re doing better. My bed wishes for you!
Absolutely G, do your own research. You are the best advocate for yourself because you know yourself best. Unintentionally, sometimes things they try do more harm than good. Nice to see you smiling again. I think your on the right path to be feeling better soon. I hope you are able to enjoy the weekend 🌞.
I hope this new arrangement brings a turnaround. I have a suggestion though.Have you considered alternative therapies that can help alleviate some of these symptoms? Traditional Chinese herbs for instance might help. In Singapore and Malaysia we use it hand in hand with chemo, radiation, immunotherapy.
This may sound ridiculous but when your feeling like your going to vomit take a bottle of rubbing alcohol or an alcohol swab and pit it under your nose and inhale it in nice even breaths. Its an old school trick that really can help. I use this method and keep it right by the toilet so its handy when i need it. Try it and see if it works for you. An anesthesiologist suggested this to me and by golly it most of the does work.
Thank you for all your insight. You continue to educate my mind.
Hope you feel better soon. 🙏🏽
I have known someone in my family to describe medicine often being "cookie cutter medicine." The idea being that doctors will often fail to think creatively or like a detective and instead will just resort to standard protocol. Whether it is a fair criticism or not depends on the doctor, I suppose.
Maybe just takes time to get into your system 🙏 rest and sleep is good for your body .Take care, sending you lots of love and positive vibes..❤😘
You could consider the vast amount of differences that patients present, you can perhaps see that doctors are trying to decide which differences you have that would make a treatment work or not work. Overall statistics lump all patients into categories but how one person has led their life before diagnosis can create a host of differences that 'majority of patients' might not have. It has to be frustrating and annoying when a person is going through a serious illness. Even when I was told what the treatment for my cancer would be, I wondered, 'is that because I am like the majority of patients with this cancer or is that in spite of being unlike the majority?' We are all different even if we may share some common conditions.
So long as it works, change of plans is fine. Palliative is just a word. If it helps go for it.
That’s why doctors are said to practice medicine. If it’s not something obvious like a broken arm or a broken leg they seem to not know what the problem is they just give out this medicine hoping they work at least a lot of times that’s the case..
Hopefully you will be more comfortable 🎉
Got it
Medical care is like throwing darts at a dartboard. They just try anything until it works.
Hello great news you have some different treatment options.Hope you will feel comfortable and gain both physical and mental improvement
Your cough has gone. Hallelujah!!!
How are you still able to pay your rent and bills with having cancer and being so sick? I’ve always been curious and also scared about getting so sick and not being able to pay my bills or survive on my own. How do you handle that?
Create an emergency fund in good times. Do a side hustle to earn extra income . We all need some savings. Of course this works only if you are well and working now.
What's the immunotherapy drug called ?
Hi brother, do you have any idea when your lovely wife will be with you ?
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
🙏🏻✨🙏🏻
What is the name of the new nausea medication?
If you are suffering trauma to the body( eg: car accident) then the first place to go is the hospital/trauma center. If you are suffering from chronic illness and/or cancer and want to be prescribed drugs that the physician is clueless as to its effectiveness and especially the horrible effects (NOT "side effects") then by all means go to the hospital. They will usually extend you pain and suffering with the use of these drugs for an extended period of time. Good quality of life will be nonexistent but rest assured big pharma will certainly collect from your insurance a sizable amount of money to keep you in misery until the day you no longer are. Do what you think is best for your body.........the clueless diploma holders in white are clueless for the most part and have forgotten their oath to "do no harm."
Really hope this works for you! ❤
It is called M.E. chronic fatigue syndrome
Yay! What us the name of the new anti=nausea drug?
❤❤
This may be a very personal question. Is your wife able to assist with driving you or collecting meds. Or friends/family. You do appear to be that awesome person with a great support base.
His wife is abroad. Waiting for a visa.
@@Sunshine-zi4nq Thank you so much for letting me know. I had no idea. Really appreciate it.
❤❤❤❤🙏🤗❤️
No sound
Doctors are human too and have their limitations. With advanced cancer sometimes it is not so easy to explain a particular symptom because the Body is breaking down. But they should be able to help with basic function like eating, sleeping etc
Did you had covid recently because it messes up the digestion....
Medical is not Yahuah's plan or system as much as we wish it were, so practice is what they need to do.
