This is my go to ship, just feels so right and looks so good and its easy to customize with what I need or upgrade stuff like shields, engines and such to even better versions.
Jettisoning cargo would be an amazing feature. Theres been multiple times where I jumped into a UC or Freestar system and forgot that i was carrying contraband without shielded cargo. Had to immediately shunt power from the shields to the grav drive and jump to the closest free system before they could complete the scan. I'd love to see it added as a mod. Hell, maybe even add a mission type where you transport contraband and jettison the pod in system for someone else to grab and then jump out before you're stopped by authorities.
I literally cannot count how many of these I've captured. For a short time, I painted mine yellow and called it "School Bus." Then I reconfigured it into a fighter-style ship. Another great early game, Frontier replacer.
Speaking of random seats in the cockpits, one of the nice aesthetics of the Ares Bridge is that crew stations are clearly delineated and jumper seats for other passengers are on the back wall, almost in a separate room. It lends a nice military transport feel, and if you're running around with a security focused companion like Marika you can imagine her there in the jump seat for ship combat while the ship crew does their thing.
This was my first warship, On the first planet you travel to at the beginning of the game if you go over the Hill where They drop Enemy troops There's one on the ground you can capture. Major upgrade over the frontier. It served me well until I got the Ranger ship.
