I know I'm a bit late in the game but I had an 009 gauge video show up from my RUclips algorithm a short while ago and now I'm addicted. I have a fascination with narrow gauge railroads and the incredible detail in these micro layouts is just well, incredible. Thanks for sharing this
it is a great scale to use having the benefits of n gauge track plan space and being able to use 00 buildings, people and accessories, when i first started there was very little apart from european outline or kit built but now there is becoming alot of ready to run models so it is a growing popularity this scale. Hi Steven I fell in love with 009 from seeing an exhibition layout back in 2001 and wanted 009 because it had the advantages of 00 and the space of n gauge I started of with European outline diesel from roco and Parkside dundas wagon and coach kits, now were spoilt for choice especially in the past year with the hunslets from bachmann and the new England class from peco

Very enjoyable video, quite a few layouts I've not seen before. South West Lancashire Light Railway and Llanrug I thought were particularly good with a lot of detail in a small space
hi yes i really like the south west lancashire layout ive seen it quite a few times at exhibitions and it does remind me of the west lancashire railway which is what i think its based on

I’m so glad I’ve taken up 009 its got such character ,& with big model manufactures now in the market you can fit so much in a small space .😊

I'd say each layout is different but I'd imagine most are peco electrofrog points

hi 009 and 00 are the same scale 1/76 so yes 00 figures are the right size, thanks for watching
