Me and my hubby just watched this wonderful vid! Your 009 track is amazing! The attention to detail is out of this world. My hubby kept saying how amazing everything is. So much so that when I looked away for a wee while and then looked back.....unknowingly to me you were showing the real steam train... I had to do a double take when I saw a figure move!😂 Thanks Ian... Your vids are a joy!
Catching up on your chanel 😊 Lots and lots of inspiering stuff I havent ben modelling mutch myself the last 6 months or so Mostly working and playing guitar but inspiration is back thanks to your Chanel 😊👍👍
@@Elvinley yes but you are probably mutch beter than me 😄 Ive started playing again last year Did play in some bands in the 80s Did stopp playing in the begining of 90s Im re learning again 😀
@@Elvinley Yes, I get the digital copy earlier than the bookstall paper one! I have now viewed the video properly, and read the article. I am amazed that you have time to model, as well as build/maintain the Ivy railway! My interests span both 009 and 7.25 so your output is always welcome! :)
We've just stumbled up on your channel, and what a lovely 009 layout you've built. My grandson (11) is well impressed, as he's planning to build a 009 layout himself. He's also recently started a channel, Dylington Model Railway. Which features his layout and some exhibitions and heritage railways. I think he's intending to post videos of his progress with his 009 layout once he gets started. So we've subscribed and are now going to grab a cuppa and watch somemore of your videos. Cheers James 🙂
@Elvinley thank you for the offer, we may well get stuck at some stage. Hopefully, he will get something posted on his channel when he starts. He's busy drawing plans at the moment, I must admit his channel is doing better than I thought it would. So I'll keep encouraging him, especially if his channel helps keep him interested in modelling 🙂👍
Great video. The layout is very atmospheric. Would love to live in one of those houses !! Am just planning my first 009 layout and still at the reading/research stage but you work really gives me inspiration. Is your layout DCC or DC ? - asking for a friend ;-)
Thanks so much! I have wired it for DC but it can be unplugged and switched to DCC for my sound fitted locos. I normally just use DC with them but I do have the option.
I saw this in Railway Modeller yesterday and was very impressed. I'd like to invite you to bring the layout to the show I organise. Please get in contact with me via the Manchester MRS website, where I'm the exhibition manager.
Beautiful Layout,so realistic ! Thanks for shearing.

Thanks a lot! All the best for your project.

Good to see this in Railway Modeller! I had missed this video - more interested in the Ivy Rly videos, so will have to return for a better look. :)
I haven't seen the mag yet. It is on the way though.

Great layout, n gauge is my favourite. Was that S-Cinetone for some of the footage, looks great
@@o0junglist0o93 Thanks! It was the cinema setting on my Nokia phone.
Nice railway modeling. With 009 scale what is the prototype gauge of the track? What kind of track are you using?
I use Peco oo9 mainline track. I think the prototype gauge can vary between locos but the scale is 4mm and 3.5mm for HOe.
We’re you at the Swansea exhibition
Yes! I was showing my Z gauge this year and this one last year.
