Congratulations on the 3rd Podiversary. I, too, have a lot of unfinished sweaters floating around. They are at various stages of completion and I find I have to be in the right mood to take the next step. With it being summer I am happy to sit outside and do some mindless knitting with lighter yarns. I am looking forward to knitting fall sweaters. That cosmo cash yarn is lovely. The merino in the mustard color is gorgeous as well. I think it would work up nicely in the Little Garter Scarf pattern.

Happy podiversary (not entering for the yarn prize, just wanted to wish you a happy podiversary!! It's no joke to stay on RUclips for years lol) !!!! So excited for your me-made outfit for Flock. You can do it!!!! I'm ALWAYS dream knitting. The queue is always going lol. The way I "organize" my dream knitting is each month in my journal/planner I write out what I would like to finish (if it doesn't get done, it just gets moved to the next month, no big deal) and what I would like to cast on with what yarn. This way things are written out and I know what I have on hand. Plans can always change but at least I have a starting point to go off of when my brain feels like it's in a million directions. Sometimes I'll swatch for a project way ahead of time so that it feels like I've cast on even if I haven't because I have other WIPs I would like to finish first. I'll put all the yarn and pattern printed out into a designated project bag and set it aside for when I'm ready. It's like a physical tangible queue if you will! Thank you as always for sharing all the things Nicole!!! Take care~Stephanie

I love the knitting journal idea a lot. I use a paper planner for MJ's schedule and also my academic life. It helps create peace in managing business and also helps organize my academic aspirations. I think it would help me to have a knitting journal or a part of my planner to start organizing my chaotic knitting dreams that seem to be all over the place!!

Happy podiversary! I took advantage of your kind discount and bought the Comfort Zone Shawl. I have Suburban Stitcher slub and mohair and can’t wait to cast it on! Too many wips, though. I so relate to your comments about having a long list of dream knits. One thing that helped me clear my head was to identify what garment or accessory I plan to knit with the yarn I have. Then I set up a queue in Ravelry. I arbitrarily listed them in order of preference. Once in a while I go in and rearrange the order. If I’m going to cast on a new item (usually a sweater), I pull out a wip that’s been set aside so that I try to finish something while knitting something new. It’s working, more or less, but there are a few too many wips!

I can't believe it has been 3 years! It has flown by. It is funny you say you are ready for sweaters, I also am doing a test knit for a sweater because I was ready for one too! I don't usually knit for season I knit what ever strikes my fancy, I tried to knit a summer top but I knit the yolk too short and I have to rip it back and it is sitting on a shelf.. I knit your little garter scarf test and lots of socks and those have really filled my cup this summer. I have a second little garter scarf cast on in green as I am imagining it for fall. Take care.

Happy Third Podiversary! 🎉 I am so excited you’re going to Flock again! I hope to see you there! 😊 I completely relate to the dream knitting being way more than what can be done in reality! 😂 I like your idea of assigning projects numbers and using a random number generator to pick the next one, lol. I’m afraid I don’t really have any recommendations for prioritizing or picking your next cast-on. I have just been going with whatever I happen to be drawn to next…which works out fine, but definitely lends itself to a little more fragmented knitting / crocheting than I’d like overall.

Congratulations on 3 years. That was no,small feat! Thoughts on your skirt idea. Looking at the skirt patterns the pockets will add a visual bulk due to the length of your sweater. I like the fuller skirt--purl soho as that will add a softness to the slim lines of the Tank. Or another option would be a pencil skirt. Maybe too hot though? Too close to the body.
Anyway good to see your beautiful sweater moving forward. The yellow yarn would make the prettiest scarf. Mixed with mohair--maybe a white mohair to lighten the shade.

If you find the secret to balancing all of the things you want to knit with the amount of available time you have, please tell me the secret! Same thing with balancing new cast ons versus finishing languishing WIPs. The GOOD NEWS for you is that my kids are currently 9 and 12 (almost 13) and its still cool when I make them stuff. The only downside is now sometimes I end up making their friends stuff too. Case in point, the hooded unicorn scarf I cast on yesterday for one of my older kiddo's friends. And the friends who do have hats and hoods I have made were them all the time. I hear from their parents about it. Its very cool. So all of that to say I don't think hand knits will become uncool for Matilda any time soon.
Congrats on your 3 year podiversary. If I won yellow yarn I think I would include it in some color work I want to do.
Back to time management, after spending all day working on the unicorn hood, I totally spend the evening trying to decide on a doodle stocking cast on...

I love it that your children still love when you make them things. Maybe MJ will be similar! :)

I use 2 16" circular needles, and that would solve the problem with losing the extra needle!

Indeed! I haven't knit socks that way yet :)

I prefer magic loop and 9” circs for socks because with DPNs and flexi flips I am always dropping a needle. I hate that!

This is also why I love the 9"s too!

Check out Jen Geigley’s latest podcast, she has a really easy skirt pattern. Also, the first thing I thought of when you showed your pretty tank is that it is too small. I think it may have quite a bit of negative ease and as long as you don’t mind that it will be fine. but I have a fat belly roll and I am sensitive to that so I avoid sweaters with negative ease.

based on how it's measuring it's not going to have a lot of negative ease, but time will tell how it does with seaming and blocking.
