I rotate through my collection of Bontrager, PI, and Sponeed (from amazon) bibs and shorts on a weekly basis. When it's really hot, I reach for the Bontrager which is made of a more breathable material. The chamois seems pretty comparable to me, but then again I'm not out on all day rides for the most part. Bibs vs shorts ... I prefer bibs for road and gravel, and shorts for mountain biking. I'm debating on getting some tights for early and late season rides too.
