The reason why the screen is freaking out is because the 30 pin cable's ground (the metal on the outside of the connector) is somehow getting current through it , it could be a bad cable or a bad powerbank

he mention power bank which wouldn't be grounded at all. i had this problem too. also if his pc isnt powering he might be using usb 2 port which might not be enough power to keep it alive. also im sure that battery is long gone a cheap 15min battery replacement would've brought the video back.

I had a 4s for fives years, and still miss it. Though I recently upgraded my 7 for a 12 mini and I’m in love! It feels just like the 4s frame, but with the same power as the bigger phones. Still I keep my shattered 4s around as a media player, but I do miss it for daily use. 😢It just felt so good Compared to its bloated kin.

Theres actually a particular vulnerability in the latest iOS for the 4s that allows for a full downgrade! I was able to downgrade one to its originally shipped 4s, its a cool keepsake now. It was the first phone i ever bought new. Crazy how well it runs on the original OS. Very responsive. Not useful for much but still

8:05 What’s funny is that Siri was so bad, even those in the US had issues with her recognizing regional accents. The worst bit? WE WERE AMERICANS SPEAKING PERFECT ENGLISH (for Americans, anyway…)!!!
Even after I got my first GOOD iPhone, I still didn’t use her as much as I thought I would when she was first introduced as a result of her initially poor translations of my speech.
She has gotten smarter and MUCH more improved over time but I still don’t trust her being accurate. At least she’s not Adam though, which is ironic for a guy famous for Simpsons remixes who also occasionally reviews Apple products. Iykyk.

Ah The iPhone 4S was my first smartphone and I still have it with its original box, headphones and Dock connector cable which I use for my iPods and remember when we got accessories with smartphones. Plus I love how small it is compared to smartphones today like my iPhone 14 pro max, that small iPhone will always have a special place in my heart. What does everyone else think of it? They are nice but annoying as hell to fix though I had to replace the screen and that took weeks bc I had to find the right screen and one that was a GSM.

ALSO I just thought about this, what if you had a cable connected to the computer for data and one connected to the wall for power?? I've got one that has two male ends that combine into one, one transmits data but both transmit power? Or even if only one port provided power. Wonder if that could help in some cases?

I was taking a year off and living in Hawaii when Siri debuted in 2011. No one could break me away from my Blackberry even when Apple debuted iPhones.
But when Suri hit all my friends could do was show me just how wonderful Siri was. I finally put my Blackberry down when I purchased a 5S.
Honestly, to date, I am more into the Alexa universe .. but we all know Siri's voice, especially when you're in the car and she is directing us! She definitely has improved over the years.

Reminds me of my old Galaxy Nexus from around the same time. If you plugged in a very noisy USB power supply the touchscreen would stop working entirely. If you turned on the show touches option in the developer menu it was being touched all around the edges constantly till you unplugged it. Getting properly grounded USB power to it solved the issue.

I bought an iPhone 4 from an estate sale like 2 weeks ago, and I got it with a passcode and it got activation locked when I restored it. Because the previous owners don't want to help at all, it now sits in a drawer. would love to have it work and use it as a joke, but I've contacted the previous owner and Apple multiple times, no help. All the previous owner needs to do is go to devices on their apple ID and press remove on the iPhone, they arent interested in helping.

Some iOS devices can be "screen locked" when plugged in to the charger because of the voltage changes. I lived this in good old iPod touch 5th gen days... I replaced my charger and problem solved. But in this case I think new battery or leaving the charger for a day to revive the battery could work
